We were recommended this hotel by ChatGPT when we searched for a luxury hotel close to Universal Studios.....turned out to be the favoirte part of our trip. We loved the midcentury boutique hotel vibe! The restaurant was AMAZING! This is a family owned hotel and you can feel the positive difference this makes and all the attention to details. Thank you ChatGPT for the recommendation! We will be back to North Hollywood soon just to stay here again!

We were hardly at the hotel as we were busy being tourists. The time we were there was comfortable and we felt safe. Parking is very expensive but you know that on booking. Bed was very sorts some people like that kind of thing. Me not so much. Bring ear plugs if you aren’t on the top levels as you hear the people above you walking around. Great staff. Beautiful pool area and very clean. Very chilled and relaxed vibe. Great if going to universal as they have free trolley that takes you.

The location is stellar! The restaurant and adorable store are my favorites. Rooms are CLEAN! Decor is stunning. The staff is the best ever! They are kind helpful and really really great at helping at check in or any needs you might have. It is my favorite hotel in LA. An absolute original!

We recently stayed at The Garlan and we had a wonderful experience, I was celebrating my son’s birthday and the staff was amazing! The hotel atmosphere was cozy and they offered a great shuttle service to Universal Studios. We will for sure go back! If you are looking for a nice place to stay, this is it!
