Rob, the bellman, made a real difference ???

Jesus F on Jan 03, 2026

Rob, the bellman, made a real difference during our stay. He helped us with our luggage and went beyond that by taking the time to explain the hotel amenities and available activities in detail. His local knowledge and clear recommendations helped us make the most of our time at the hotel. Professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful.

Making great memories

Chaz J on Jan 03, 2026

As a frequent visitor to this hotel, this stay was another great experience as always. The best part of the stay was being entertained by the greatest dynamic duo, Lange and Viecka. Logo trivia and Karaoke gave my family and I a chance to bond on vacation, while also sharing the large pizza we won! This hotel seems to get better and better each time.

The Good + Area for Improvement

Christina F on Dec 29, 2025

We recently stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark by IHG, and overall, it delivered a fun, family-friendly experience with strong value, especially for larger families looking for space and on-site amenities. What we loved The amenities truly shine here. Between the pools, waterslides, on-site entertainment, and dining options, the resort offers an almost all-inclusive feel without the all-inclusive price tag. Our girls spent nearly four hours enjoying the pools and waterslides and have already reserved a FlowRider experience for the following day. The accommodations were a standout. We booked the two-bedroom suite with one queen room and one bunk room, and the layout was perfect for our family of four. The rooms were spacious, thoughtfully designed, and themed in a way that felt fun without being overwhelming. Our girls absolutely loved having their own bunk space, which gave them a sense of independence and made bedtime easier for everyone. The kitchenette was also incredibly practical. It was perfect for reheating leftover pizza from the lobby late at night, and the mini fridge easily held drinks and snacks for our stay. These small conveniences go a long way for families. Dining-wise, the value was excellent. While I’ll touch on availability later, the food we did enjoy was well priced and satisfying. The made-to-order pizza was a hit with most of our family. For $28, we were able to feed our family a large two-topping pizza, breadsticks, and a two-liter soda, which felt like a great value for an on-site resort meal. The staff deserves special recognition. Every team member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Viecka in the entertainment department ran an excellent Family Karaoke Night and made our girls feel comfortable and included. She had clearly built relationships with returning guests and continued nurturing those connections, which was refreshing to see. As someone who cruises frequently, that level of guest engagement felt very familiar and appreciated, especially at a domestic resort. Where there’s room for improvement Access upon arrival was a bit challenging. There was construction taking place in parts of the resort, which likely impacted the usual flow, but navigating to the lobby was not as intuitive as it could be for first-time guests. Dining availability during lunchtime was another challenge. We arrived around lunch, but very few on-site dining options were open. While I understand many guests are out exploring during the day, it would have been helpful to have at least two lunch options available for arriving guests or those choosing to enjoy a full resort day. Ultimately, we left the property for lunch and returned later. Food variety was generally good, but our littlest traveler struggled to find something simple that suited her tastes. A basic chicken tenders basket or burger option would have made dining easier for younger or pickier eaters, even though the rest of the family enjoyed the pizza. While our room was clean and tidy, it was clear that some areas are due for renovation. The leather on the couch was peeling, carpets had visible patches, and some wall areas showed wear. Our bathroom tub was missing a drain stopper, which we reported via text concierge at 5:04 PM. A response came quickly at 5:24 PM stating someone would bring one, but by 6:00 PM no one had arrived. We headed out for dinner and entertainment, and while our girls are old enough to shower, this could have been more problematic for families with younger children. With several guests checking in at the time, this may have been a staffing issue, but clearer communication would have been appreciated. We also felt the parking fee of $29 per night was steep, especially since it exceeded the $25 nightly resort fee. That said, the resort fee itself felt fair and well justified based on the entertainment, water park access, and amenities provided. Final thoughts As a travel advisor who regularly sends clients to the Walt Disney World area, I was glad to experience this resort firsthand. Despite a few operational and cosmetic areas that could use improvement, the overall value, space, amenities, and family-focused atmosphere make this a solid option. I will absolutely recommend this resort to my value and moderate budget clients who want an off-property stay that’s still close to the magic and packed with activities.

A lot Bed Bugs

Joao Paulo S (Orlando, Florida) on Dec 29, 2025

My cousins ??have been staying in this terrible hotel since December 21st and will be leaving on January 4th. The beds are infested with bed bugs and larvae. They reported the problem to the management, filed a report, and were moved to another room in a different building, but the problems continued. Their bodies are completely covered in bites from these bed bugs, and the itching is unbearable. They bought medication and creams to try to alleviate the irritation. The least the management should do regarding this embarrassment and terrible experience is to reimburse all accommodation costs and the expenses for treatment with an allergist when they return to Brazil, and transfer them to another hotel in the chain. What a terrible Christmas and New Year's they are having.
