I booked four nights at the Holiday Inn Resort Waterpark Orlando because of one selling point: the waterpark. Ironically, the waterpark wasn't open. If you're traveling with kids, stay somewhere else. The problems started at check-in. Despite completing online check-in and having my room key on both my phone and watch, I still waited in a long line—only to be told by the front desk that the digital keys "almost never work." Then came the rooms. The first room had a toilet that wouldn't flush. After a long wait for maintenance to confirm the obvious, we were moved. The second room had a toilet seat hanging on by a thread and no shower curtain. The first two replacement curtains smelled like mold and decay—so badly that even the maintenance employee admitted it. The third one was torn, but at least it didn't smell like it belonged in a landfill. Housekeeping was equally disappointing. Despite seeing staff working nearby for days, our room wasn't serviced until we called late at night just to get clean towels and have the overflowing trash emptied. Now for the biggest issue: this "waterpark resort" advertised a waterpark that guests couldn't use. Not during booking. Not in confirmation emails. Not at check-in. Not during multiple conversations with the front desk. No one mentioned it. Workers were repairing the waterpark the entire time we were there. When I finally spoke with the property manager, Melvin, he looked me in the eye and told me, "The waterpark is open." It wasn't. After I pointed out the construction crews I'd watched for three days, he admitted they were waiting on a permit inspection before opening it. Advertising a resort around an attraction that isn't available—and failing to disclose it—is misleading, plain and simple. To top it off, the laundry room washers worked, but the dryers were out of service with no warning signs. The Wi-Fi was so unreliable that even the in-room TV struggled to stay connected. I've had more dependable internet in airport terminals. This property calls itself a resort, but it operates like a neglected motel with better marketing. Do yourself a favor: don't stay here. Orlando has plenty of hotels that actually deliver what they advertise.

The resort is wonderful. It is so much fun for the kids and family. The room was very accommodating to our 6 person family. Will be coming back. Absolutely love it.

Wow just wow!! Every single employee that works there are exceptional!! We were for 3 days and my grandchildren had the best time ever. I wish I remembered everyone’s name as they deserve the credit. JP at the kiddie area was amazing, He was super friendly and efficient. Christian and every other golf cart drivers all exceeded our expectations. They made it so easy for me to go from one area to the next. The place is kept so clean. Miriam from customer service handled our issue with professionalism. Because of the misunderstanding of when the slides shut down (as weather was awful on one the days there) gave us a late checkout on our last day so that my grandchildren could enjoy the amazing slides they have there. The florider attraction was the highlight of their trip that we did it twice. Eric was the gentleman that they went to the first time and they had such an amazing experience that we booked it twice and requested him the second time. Every single employee we had encountered all went above and beyond! My only issue was that the pool bar and burger place closed way before what the website said which was a little disappointing as they were very busy the whole day as we wanted to enjoy another beverage and get some food to take to the room. The lady at the grill side tavern was also great but being she was the only server the wait time to get server and actually get our meals took a long time. The young man that worked there that ran the food worked very hard and you could tell he really cared.On our last day we went and enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the gentleman that was cleaning up after everyone was very helpful and super friendly. Great staff, amazing place. Oh and I almost forgot the rooms are super clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.
