This is just an okay hotel, we ran into a few issues that took it from good to just okay. The toilet ran off and on all night, you could hear music from the pool on the 5th floor past 9 pm. The room came with 4 pillows for 4 people, we requested an additional 5 pillows and we were brought 3 pillows and told that there were no more pillows available.

Fantastic stay and would definitely return. We stayed at Dockside last year and thought we would give Surfside a go. As a family, the Surfside definitely suited us better as it wasn't as busy as Dockside. We had a suite and especially loved the size of this and having a separate bedroom. Staff went above and beyond for us, and check-in was very fast. We have previously stayed in Cabana Bay/Dockside, and this hotel was definitely the best for us. We enjoyed being able to get out and about, and this year, we used the I-Ride trolley, which saved us a lot of money not using Ubers. The only thing that we found differently was sharing the Universal shuttles between Surfside/Dockside. This didn't work. Some days, we waited 40 mins just to get to the park as a bus would pull up and still be extremely full as it would drop off then at Dockside. Even Thanksgiving week, they still ran the transfer like this instead of keeping them separately like the previous years.

This hotel was great! Took a girls trip to Orlando for Disney, Universal, Horror Nights, and Epic Universe. Surfside was clean, the staff was helpful, and the 2 bedroom room was plenty of room for 4 girls that like to overpack. The buses to and from the Universal parks were great. Didn’t have to wait too long. The Starbucks in the lobby was a great perk for me. The price was very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again!

Positives: - Great Location - Fast check-in - Good Speed Free Wifi - Outstanding 2-Bedroom suite (everything was perfect inside the room, TVs, beds, AC, Shower, Sink area, room size, mattress and pillow quality, room noise level excellent). This room is as good as the 2-bedroom room at Disney All Star Music. - Great cafe quick service restaurant for breakfast and meals - Very nice pool area Negatives: - The main cafe & restaurant area could be a little bigger - The 2-bedroom room could have 2 bathrooms as well, like the one at Disney All Star Music.

Absolutely brilliant ?? great location, transport to & from parks were spot on, never waited longer than 10 mins. From what I hear surfside is quieter than dockside so glad we went for surfside. Rooms were clean, spacious & great having the microwave & good sized fridge (we had a 2 bed suite) I took a microwaveable egg poacher from home bargains which was perfect for breakfasts also some disposable plates. They have disposable cutlery & condiments in the quick serve (top tip) & the refill drinks for our stay were definitely worth it. We brought a toaster in Walmart which was great for breakfasts, bagels, toast, waffles, pop tarts! Food at surfside was great for lunch/dinner when we were there, wasn’t a huge fan of the breakfast being a vegetarian. Perfect WiFi at the hotel. Don’t expect much from Walgreens across the road pricey & not a huge variety of anything fresh so an Uber to Walmart is a must! We have visited Orlando several times & I have to say for us this hotel/parks worked best for us being our boys are 15 & 16 now! Gatorland is a must, fabulous morning/afternoon out (worth the uber trip) Would love to say this won’t be our last but the cost of eating out has rocketed so don’t underestimate spending ?? definitely worth the memories we had the BEST holiday! We stayed at Disney Port Orleans in 2022 & I would say it’s on par with it so if you are doing Universal Parks this is the hotel for you. If you are considering Surfside then I would highly recommend we loved our stay ??
