The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta resort is excited to be shifting to a new phase in their renovation plans, here are some recent updates and new dates to their renovation schedule for 2025:
April 01, 2025 - December 2025: North Tower elevators renovation. Noise and vibrations may be expected in focused areas of this tower during specific timing (10am-6pm). Please note there is one guest and one service elevator available for use.
April 28, 2025 – November 15, 2025: New Italian restaurant concept at Melanzanne. Italian restaurant with alternative menu will be offered temporarily at a different location with a fantastic Pacific Ocean view.
April 01, 2025 – September 2025: Casa Grande Palm Roof renovation. The restaurant will remain open during this time. All work will be carried out in sections and isolated to ensure minimal disruption and protect the guest experience during operating hours.
Please note these plans are subject to change, and the dedicated hotel crew is working diligently to minimize disruptions throughout the renovation period.

I'll update this review once I've stayed, but I'm already skeptical of this experience given the lackluster service from both the concierge and the airport transfer contact. We arrive next week for a week of vacation. The concierge reached to to offer to help us with the stay, but it seems to solely exist to sell upgrades and experiences rather than to help with anything else related to our stay. They are slow to respond and in fact the contact on the website, Beatriz, doesn't even respond to her email. On top of that, I've emailed the airport transfer contact twice now with zero response. Let's see how the stay goes.

Everything was fantastic during our stay. We had an incredible experience, largely thanks to the exceptional staff. Doña Carmen did a wonderful job keeping our room spotless, and Azoel at the juice bar was super friendly—his juices are easily the best! A huge thank you to Brenda, the concierge, who was fabulous in handling dinner reservations for our large party of 11. We also want to recognize Angelica and the other hosts at the Viva Buffet; she was so helpful and made our "Los Tres Reyes" tradition feel truly special. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and welcoming, making this our best New Year’s celebration ever. Thank you to the entire Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta team!
