Please note the following renovation schedule for Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta for 2024 and 2025:
April 15 - September 14, 2024: New Asian restaurant, Tequila Bar will be closed and in its place, Tamari will be created. Located in the central building, construction will not impact guests as working hours will be only at night. Asian cuisine will still be served at Pureza during this time.
May 06, 2024 – January 06, 2025: North Tower room upgrades will be taking place. Some dust and noise are to be expected from 10AM-6PM. This is the second phase of renovation for the north wing main tower.
June 03-September 10, 2024: The Pool Bar at the main pool will be upgraded and some dust and noise should be expected during the day. A provisional portable bar will be set in the pool area and 4 other pools will be open.
July 01 – October 16, 2024: Kid’s Club will be closed. Guests will not be affected. All kids’ activities will take place outside by the pool and terrace at Melanzanne.
July 01-November 11,2024: Front Desk and lobby area will be renovated; the work will be done at night. There will be a temporary check-in desk located in the front lobby during this time.
August 05- Nov 29, 2024: Repair roof structure of walkways. Please note there are two walkways to connect to the main building, only one walkway will be closed, and guests will not be affected.
September 17, 2024- February 28, 2025: New Italian restaurant concept at Melanzanne. The service will be offered at the Pureza Restaurant once the Tamari Restaurant is complete.
Please note these plans are subject to change, and the dedicated hotel crew is working diligently to minimize disruptions throughout the renovation period.

The pretty average resort.

Me and my family of 5 stayed for 4 nights & 5 days at this beautiful resort. We are also globalists so we have stayed in the Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana and Hyatt Ziva Cancún. The food here was pretty good, and they staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were also very modern and nice. We stayed in the Club Oceanfront Hot Tub Double. The one thing we didn’t like was the pools. There were 3 main pools. One was pretty big, but it was Shallow, and my kids love flipping and diving, so this was a huge disappointment to them. The second one was apart of the main pool and was adults only. They had people twerking on top of the pool for kids to see. My kids were old enough not to be bothered by it, but if that is something that concerns you, here is your warning. The last pool our favorite. It was big, and pretty deep. The only problem was it was shaded and secluded, so it was hard to get service. The hot tub at this pool was also not well kept, and had all kinds of leaves and things inside. So pools could be better. The drinks are average, nothing special. As club members, we got higher shelf drinks, which was nice, but they were still just average. I do recommend taking some kind of excursion into the city though. It is so amazingly beautiful, and the food is 10x better than anything you would get at the resort.
Kayak tour

Staff is all very friendly! Especially enjoyed the kayak tour with Kevin! The pool waiters and waitresses were all great. Food was good, particularly the Italian restaurant… I would highly recommend the Ossobuco. Rooms were clean. Had one issue where there was a leak from upstairs, but they responded very quickly to resolve it and clean it up.
