Nice enough but overpriced & several annoyances

I traveled there from Canada. This resort was a fair bit more expensive than larger more traditional and other options we considered, however we thought we were getting a superior experience - we were wrong. This resort wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t worth the premium price. The grounds are very pretty & the service from staff was excellent. Comments regarding the room - we paid for a palapa room but downgraded to a gardenview main floor room: - palapa rooms have stinky musty mildewy smell - Often no hot water - Low water pressure in shower - Porous concrete floor in room is dirty - Limited storage for clothes & items - Very little counter & hanging space in bathroom - No shelf in shower to place your items - Ceiling fan on porch & bathroom fan don’t work - Slats on windows open to outside + beds are quite comfortable + fridge is regularly stocked Comments about the resort: + Excellent service, nice & quick to respond. + WhatsApp concierge service is convenient - A lot of beach seating either reserved for beachfront rooms or far back from water/rope. + Roped off area dividing resort from public area. Well monitored by security staff. - Small resort offers no evening entertainment or activities. - 4 Small pools - Only 1 A La Carte restaurant - No bars open before 11am for drinks of any kind (have to go to buffet restaurant or bring from room). - Fuego restaurant closed for renovations - Fuego bar hours 11am-10pm + Cocina restaurant 6:30pm to 10pm a la carte reservation required but easy to get. - Agave bar 4pm-12am - Itzi bar 11am-6pm - Las Olas bar at buffet restaurant 11am-7pm - Las Olas restaurant buffet for breakfast & dinner, a la carte lunch. Breakfast 7am-11am, lunch 12pm-5pm, dinner 6:30pm-10pm. - Spa prices are quite high $55USD for manicure. - Many things not included in the All Invlusive plan. - No guacamole or avocado or pico de gallo at any of the buffets EVER. Guac available only to order at lunch. - With the all inclusive plan you still have to sign a bill for $0 everytime you order a drink at the bar & after every meal. - Very noisy at night due to close proximity to bars & restaurants outside the resort. - Often run out of pool/beach towels This resort is geared towards people who are not looking for an all inclusive experience and are planning to use this more as a hotel and venture out for many meals and experiences.
It’s so beautiful we are planning our wedding here in 2027.

Staff lovely, the food was great so many choices. It has 4 pools so many restaurants and bar options. Absolutely beautiful private and secure beach to enjoy.
