We came here for 2 weeks in November and had high expectations after seeing all the reviews and awards and it definitely lived up to every single one of them. The hotel, the room, the staff, the food, the service, the excursions everything about it was just perfect. We’ve been to other luxury 5 star hotels around the world (including other Secrets locations) and let me say that this is definitely the best one we’ve ever been to. They say the people and service can make or break a holiday and it definitely made ours. The staff at Maroma cannot do enough for you and are so friendly and love to have a chat. A special mention goes to Roberto & Sara in World Cafe (superior service and we had some great chats) and Oscar in Entertainments (brilliant Spanish lesson and bike ride) Our room and the view were exceptional, perfectly cleaned and stocked daily. The grounds and beach were beautiful. Such a lovely atmosphere and vibe. This isn’t a party hotel (which we loved) it’s a relaxing chilled vibe and we met some lovely people from all over the world. We tried all the restaurants and didn’t have one bad meal - all the food was delicious (also the cocktails here are amazing) and room service was great too. Mexico itself is a beautiful country. We did a lot of excursions including swimming with turtles, zip lines, atv’s, snorkelling in the reef, cenotes, speedboats in Cancun. Every trip was amazing and so were the locals. We loved this place so much and there’s so much more we want to do that we’ve booked to come back in Nov 26 - can’t wait to see you all again!

I have been to Mexico several times, and I must say this is one of the best resorts we have stayed at. Angel, our 14th building concierge was amazing. I was celebrating my 40th birthday, and he had the room decorated and champagne and dessert delivered shortly upon our arrival. The beach was amazing, and splurging for cabanas was amazing. They even had the most enjoyable time share like experience we have ever done (thanks to Orlando for convincing us), and even Rho, the vacation sale team member, was kind and polite even after we turned down the offer. The food was amazing and didn't give all-inclusive vibes; a fresh grill was going by the pool every day. Our beach waiters and cabana concierges were amazing: Marco (bartender), Mauricio (cabana concierge), and Jose. Our favorite bartender was Lucia in the lobby bar (best passionfruit margarita) as well as Josue. As last day was a rainy one and Isabel and Omar, with the entertainment team, made bracelets for us to take home to our daughters while we waited for our flight. We did opt for the swim-up pool, but honestly, because it was cooler during our stay, we didn't use it much. They truly celebrated my birthday during each one of our dining experiences. The room was clean and without any issues. We did order room service once, and it was above average (I was able to order lamb!). The only con is we are in our 40s and this resort did feel like it was for a slightly older crowd (retirees), and on my actual birthday, while our amazing concierge Angel was off, his newer colleagues didn't fulfill my husband's birthday request for chocolate-covered strawberries and decorating the inside of the room. Otherwise, we had a great trip, and the only other contender now is Unico Hotel. After our last Unico return, we were so much more pleased with the service at Secrets Maroma

Best resort we have been to, service and food and beverages are incredible. Angel our concierge in building 14 went above and beyond with bookings and reservations for a large group. Food and beverage manager was also great getting restaurants reserved. French restaurant was a highlight with escargot and baseball filets at seaside. Great size of resort,

This resort was absolutely gorgeous, I have traveled to a decent amount of the secrets brand resortd so far and the staff here couldn't do enough for you, the rooms were spotless and the beach was truly phenomenal, even on the stormy days we were able to admire it's beauty. I traveled with my mother and my main dissapointments were poor quality mixers for drinks, even at the nicer bars inside, seating was very difficult for us at the pool as well as during shows at night time, the only spot open at night to get a drink while waiting for dinner if you didn't want to sit in the lobby where you checked in was a tiny sports bar with literally about 10 seats tops. I'm used to there being shows at night time in an arena or enclosed area which there weren't, the lobby filled up very quickly so if you wanted to sit and enjoy entertainment get there early and the disco which I imagine would solve most of these problems which is why I gave it an almost 5 was under construction so perhaps we would have enjoyed night time a little more if there was that area to enjoy, other then that the food was very good, especially lunch by the pool where they were grilling up fresh meats with different themes each day and a good amount of fun things to do by the pool like mini golf, basketball connect 4, corn hole, and the list goes on. I would definitely visit this property again

Great family trip. Had a ton of fantastic food options, and activities at the pool everyday. Our concierge Angel was always there offering to make reservations and update us on the days events. Christmas events were really well done and offered different types of entertainment.
