We had a great experience at this secrets but there are two very important things to mention 1. Do not spend the extra to go Preferred - the ONLY difference is the lounge/restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch but has so few tables that at peak time there were at least half a dozen groups waiting to eat. There is no butler unlike other secrets and instead one concierge is shared between 36 preferred rooms. There is no restaurant booking process for anyone (again different to other secrets) and with no preferred pool the only separate are is the preferred beach which does not resemble any of the old pictures you see. It is as crowded and offers the same service as the non preferred section. 2. The resort is 100% focussed to the American market (which is fine if you know in advance) - the restaurants are the same as the other secrets but the individual menus are redesigned for the USA market. So for example if you are a current secrets customer you will see differences in the Mexican and Oceana menus a this resort - true regional options have been removed that you have elsewhere, Despite the above (which is for advice only) the resort is excellent and the services as good as any five star hotel we have stayed at. One word of warning - the dry cleaning charges are absolutely ridiculous so pack enough for your whole stay.

My husband and I went to Secrets Maroma beach for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, the food and drinks were great, and above all the service was fantastic. Angel was our concierge during our stay and was very diligent in making sure my husband and I had a great honeymoon and wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this place enough and I hope to return in the future.

Without a doubt, our stay at Secrets Maroma Beach was hands down the best vacation we have ever had. A few things that made it so great were the super friendly and accommodating staff. Luis and Zayda UVC Concierge gave us a full overview of the all the services and locations of the beach, pool and other activities available. The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and super comfortable. Walking on the beach and swimming in the warm water became a daily activity for us. The pool, complete with swim-up bar made for a fun way to quench our thirst. The grounds were lush and well cared for. Every where there were people available to help us with food, drink, directions and so much more. We ate at every restaurant and couldn’t decide which one was the best. They were all excellent. The morning buffet…anything and everything one can think of was available with chefs and service staff to help us at every station. Maroma Beach is an adults only resort which fit our vacation criteria perfectly. There is more than I can share in this review. Does it all sound too good to be true? Well, it is all true. Secrets Maroma Beach was truly the best of many vacation resorts we have ever visited. Totally recommend!

This resort was simply amazing! The food was phenomenal- every single meal we ate, from the restaurants to the poolside grills and buffets, was delicious! The staff were all really nice and accommodating. Our concierge, Erick, was great and went out of his way to ensure everything was to our liking. Dont skip the shows- the performers are extremely talented! The entertainment team really shows out, there are fun poolside activities during the day and different events at night for a wide range of tastes. If you're a beach person, this is the resort for you. The first few days we arrived there was a lot of seaweed in the water, which is obviously outside of the resort's control. They did rake the beach daily so it didnt accumulate on the shore. The beach is long, walkable, quiet, and feels private (even though it is public). We loved everything about this resort!

My husband and I spent 4 days at Secrets Maroma Beach which was incredible. From the start, the Amstar service, both from our arrival to departure transportation was flawless. Well organized and everyone we met made us feel at ease. The rides were punctual and the private transportation was a class service. The check-in process was thorough and the staff friendly and before even seeing our room we were impressed with the resort. Everyone we met and dealt with was fantastic and obviously interested in us having an enjoyable stay. Our Jr. Suite room was well laid out and felt very open. The patio was spacious with nice views of the garden. We had an "ocean view room" but the ocean was far away; however, that didn't really matter as we spent very little time there. The beach was amazing. Clean, great white sand, plenty of towels and lounge chairs. The pool looked beautiful though we spent all our time at the beach. The restaurants stood out for the quality and variety of the food and the services. And the options for indoor and outside tables were excellent. The interior designs were classy. The World Cafe had a huge breakfast buffet with many options including omelettes made to order. The entertainment options were plentiful and we enjoyed many of them. The only negative that I would mention is that there is a lot of music being played and if you want a 'quiet' environment, this may not be for you. We did manage to secure a spot on the beach that was far enough away from the noise so it didn't bother us. We had a fantastic stay and would return again.
