Central location, not great, but ok hotel. We'd go back.

TravelFun_seekerz on Feb 24, 2026

Stayed here for a quick overnight Valentinus's/Anniversary trip. Booked this hotel for the perfect location. Many nearby restaurant options and we were seeing a show at the Orpheum. I used Hilton points to reserve a Skyline View 1 King Bed room. Didn't include the overnight valet parking charge ($80.00) which comes to $91.20 after tax. We also received a $36.00 room & beverage credit which is just enough to purchase breakfast at the grab & go coffee/danish stand. I guess it's for marketing? But they could just as easily provide the same free breakfast as many competitors. Whatever. Good -- location is everything. I always appreciate the remote check-in and keyless entry on the App. Our room was available one hour before our check-in without any charge. The breakfast was pretty good. Pastries were fresh. The egg/cheese croissant could have used some protein (back/ham/sausage) for the $16.00 price point, but I guess it was actually free. Minor issues -- The elevator system was a little funky. You use the app to unlock the elevator. I was having a tough time getting one of the elevator kiosks to work, but fortunately my wife was there to save the day. She had no problem getting a different kiosk to bring the elevator. I imagine this could have been a frustrating endeavor for some guests. Communication via the welcome text was inconsistent. We responded to the initial welcome text with a question about using the credit and there was no response. Hours later, I reported that the ice machine on our floor was not working. Prompt reply that they would look into it followed by a response to my earlier credit inquiry. Not a big deal as these weren't urgent issues. The hotel was perfectly fine for our needs. Expensive but so is everything these days. I would go back again.

My go- to hotel in the Union Square area

DEP3 (Binghamton, New York) on Feb 23, 2026

Parc 55 is a superb Hilton hotel to stay at. Diagonally across from the huge Hilton Union Square hotel,Parc 55 offers a quieter, smaller hotel experience with immaculately clean rooms, excellent front desk and concierge experience, and rooms that are large with some excellent views. Also the hotel is very responsive if you call ahead with special requests, like a room facing a quieter street, etc. It will be noted on your reservation and when you check in you won’t need to repeat your request since it will be there. This is definitely a can-do hotel that aims to please. Corvina at the concierge desk is a gem- knowledgeable, professional, and goes above and beyond,as does Ryan who also went above and beyond to take care of my requests. Front desk people were also excellent. Also great security- elevator is activated with your room key and when you enter your room number, the elevator is programmed to take you to your floor. There is also a well equipped fitness center and guests have access to the Hilton Union Square hotel rooftop pool. Hotel restaurant on premises , as well as a highly rated Japanese restaurant on the premises. Lots of restaurants in the area within walking distance. For a quick inexpensive sandwich, there is a Subway sandwich shop across the street from the hotel.  A caveat: If you want a sleekly updated hotel, this hotel is not like that. Its bathroom may seem a bit dated , and it has an older kind of coffeemaker, not a keurig cup coffeemaker. But the room is spacious, has a fridge, a safe, a regular closet, and feels homey instead of cookie cutter industrial. . Hotel makes you feel safe and well taken care of. Would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in the Union Square area.- great location for shopping , BART and Muni travel, with easy walking distance to many sites.

Cold staff, multiple better options nearby

MiteshD186 (Mumbai, India) on Jan 15, 2026

Stayed at Parc 55 for six nights. The rooms are fine, but the hotel feels dated. Kin Khao, the Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in the hotel, is excellent and easily the best part of the experience. Service, however, is disappointing. Staff are cold and lack any real customer orientation. The biggest issue was package handling. The hotel charges $10–$20 to receive every single Amazon package, and the pricing is completely inconsistent. Some smaller boxes were charged more than larger/heavier boxes. The fees felt arbitrary. When I raised the concern, no one was interested in listening or resolving it. I was told it was due to “union issues,” which doesn’t excuse poor customer experience. Good location and a great restaurant, but tired facilities and unfriendly, inflexible service make this hotel hard to recommend.

Great location and good hotel

sumeshk2014 (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) on Dec 28, 2025

Excellent location, especially for public transport and city access. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very courteous and helpful. A good buffet breakfast is available, with decent variety and quality. However, the hotel facilities are becoming outdated, and it feels like it is high time for a major upgrade and renovation to match the prime location and brand standards. If you want, I can also make it shorter, more diplomatic, or more critical for posting.

Presidential Suite Stay Ruined by Embarrassing Valet, Rude Staff & Zero Accountability

Escape68640885905 on Dec 04, 2025

We stayed in the Presidential Suite at Parc 55 SF Wednesday night. The room had a breathtaking view, the buffet was satisfying, and I want to give a HUGE shoutout to **Mavis at the front desk** — the only person who showed real professionalism. She stayed sweet, calm, and helpful while everything around her felt like complete chaos. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was so unprofessional it completely overshadowed the positive parts. The **valet and billing situation was a nightmare.** The hotel failed to authorize enough at check-in for our oversized vehicle. Their mistake — not ours. But instead of simply telling us, they sent us in circles: • Valet told us to check out at the desk • Desk told us to use express checkout • Express checkout didn’t work • Back downstairs • Back upstairs again • STILL no explanation Meanwhile, we were becoming late for our flight while being treated like we were trying to avoid paying — when the issue was entirely on their end. The **billing woman (Asian, didn’t get her name)** was rude and dismissive toward me, and even worse, she went behind **Mavis**, looked over her screen, and said **“What are you doing?”** in a condescending tone — as if Mavis was stupid or taking too long. Horrible professionalism, especially considering **Mavis was the ONLY one actually helping us**. After we finally paid the additional oversized fee and had the receipt in hand, the valet STILL refused to hand over our keys until he yelled across the lobby to the desk asking if we were “good.” With the receipt literally in our hands. Completely humiliating. No apology. No accountability. No offer to fix or ease the situation. And honestly, at a certain point we had to wonder if my husband being heavily tattooed played a role in how we were treated. It’s 2025 — it’s ridiculous to feel judged based on appearance, but that’s exactly how it came across. **For a hotel offering luxury, this was one of the most embarrassing and poorly handled experiences we’ve ever had.** That’s what we get for not choosing Marriott, I guess.
