The WestJet x TELUS Grey Cup Experience Contest
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
Standard data rates apply to participants who choose to participate in the Contest via a mobile device. Please contact your service provider for pricing and service plan information and rates before mobile device participation.
The WestJet x TELUS Grey Cup Experience (the “Contest”) is being conducted by WestJet (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor” or “WestJet”) and shall be construed and evaluated according to applicable Alberta and Canadian law. Contest is void in whole or in part outside of jurisdiction(s) expressly listed above and here otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. Entry in this Contest constitutes each entrant’s acceptance of, and agreement to be legally bound by, these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).
1. ELIGIBILITY:
(a) The Contest is open only to residents of Canada who are over the legal age of majority and enrolled in the WestJet Rewards program and TELUS Rewards program.
(b) Eligible WestJet Rewards participants must register for the Contest through the designated registration link provided in the email and searchable on the WestJet website.
(c) The following individuals and their household members (whether or not related) are not eligible to enter the Contest: employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, successors and assigns of each of (i) WestJet, (ii) TELUS, , (iv) the Canadian Football League ( the “CFL”), (iv) each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, and subsidiaries, and (vi) any and all other companies associated with the Contest.
(d) WestJet shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to enter the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification of an entry. All personal and other information requested by and supplied for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading.
2. HOW TO REGISTER:
(a) The entry period begins at 09:00:01 a.m. Mountain Time (“MT”) on October 15, 2025, and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. MT on November 1, 2025 (the "Contest Period”). All Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. MT on November 1, 2026 (the “Entry Deadline”).There is only one (1) way to enter the Grey Cup Experience, and no other method of entry or way will be accepted. To enter the Contest, entrants must a) join WestJet Rewards and TELUS Rewards; b) link their WestJet Rewards and TELUS Rewards accounts; c) follow the instructions provided on the WestJet Rewards webpage; and d) use the designated registration link to enter the Contest during the Contest Period (an “Entry”). By successfully transmitting a completed Entry as directed, you will be entered in the Contest.
(c) Limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address. By way of illustration, if two (2) or more otherwise eligible persons share a single email address, only one (1) of them may enter the Contest. If one (1) person has two (2) or more email accounts, the entrant may enter the Contest only once and only the first expressed interest entry received from such person will be considered.
3. GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE:
One (1) 112 CFL Grey Cup package will be awarded to one (1) selected WestJet Rewards member consisting of:
(a) Two (2) Grey Cup game tickets (total) for the member and their one (1) guest (together, the “Member Participants”) to attend the 112 CFL Grey Cup in Winnipeg, MB on Sunday November 16, 2025, (the “Prize”);
(b) Round-trip economy airfare for two (2) people (you and one guest) on WestJet for the Prize Participants from a WestJet operated Canadian Airport with regularly scheduled, operated and marketed service to Winnipeg, MB. on pre-determined WestJet flights, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, and returning on Monday, November 17, 2025, or on such other dates as may be determined by WestJet.
(c) One (1) standard, double occupancy hotel room for two (2) nights (Saturday to Monday, November 15-17, 2025 in Winnipeg, MB in a hotel predetermined by WestJet;
(d) two (2) Team-branded “replica” jerseys;
(e) two (2) Team-branded “replica” baseball caps;
(f) Approximate Prize Value (airfare subject to change based on winner's residence/airport departure city) $4500. CAD
4. EXPERIENCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
(a) Participation in a WestJet Rewards Experience is subject to the winners consenting to and compliance with all health and safety policies of the CFL.
(b) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, a selected member must be available to travel to and from a Canadian airport WestJet have regularly scheduled flights from to claim the experience package. Should a selected member be unable to attend the experience package, such selected member’s experience package will be forfeited in its entirety and may be awarded to an alternate selected member.
(c) Any and all experiences must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, resold, commercially traded, assigned. Experience may not be exactly as advertised, and except as expressly warranted herein, any prize is provided “as is” without further warranty of any kind.
(d) All experience details, including, without limitation, the Winnipeg Airfare, and Winnipeg Ground Transportation times, if applicable, the location of the Winnipeg Hotel, if applicable, the Game seat locations, and the exact nature and duration of the VIP Experience, will be determined in the sole discretion of WestJet. Some restrictions may apply. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, each selected member acknowledges that WestJet has pre-arranged for a specific flight itinerary for the Winnipeg Airfare for the WestJet Rewards member and their guest and must be legally able eligible to travel within Canada, and available to travel on the specific flights arranged by WestJet. Should the Rewards Member be unable to travel on the specific flights arranged by WestJet the applicable experience will be forfeited in its entirety and may be awarded to an alternate selected member, at the sole discretion of WestJet. In addition, the Rewards Member and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary travel documents (e.g., valid Canadian identification), in the case of the selected member, at the time of entering this Contest and the time of travel. WestJet is not responsible in the event any Rewards Member/guest of is refused boarding at any time by any airline, US Customs and Border Protection, Canada Customs Border Services Agency, or airport security, including as a result of any applicable health and safety requirements, applicable laws, or regulations. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited, and no credit or reimbursement will be provided. The selected members are fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal taxes (including income and withholding taxes). Prize Participants must provide a valid credit card for Winnipeg Hotel check-in, as applicable, and responsible for any and all incidental costs incurred, outside of the standard room and fees. Selected member and guest must travel on predetermined travel dates, and flights selected by WestJet, and travel must be booked and confirmed by November 4, 2025.
(e) Use of any CFL game/event/exhibition ticket is subject to the standard terms, conditions and health and safety policies applicable to the ticket. CFL game, event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the BOC and/or the applicable Club, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of each prize will govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by CFL, is not played or held, as applicable, due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Each selected member and his/her/their guest agrees to comply with all applicable stadium and venue, as applicable, regulations in connection with the experience. The applicable CFL Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any selected member and/or guest who engages in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the Game, event or exhibition. In the event that any selected member and/or guest is removed from or denied entry to the Game, WestJet reserves the right to require the applicable selected member to forfeit the remaining portions of the applicable experience package, if applicable. The Released Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppages, epidemic, pandemic, or any other issue concerning public health or safety, or any other event outside of their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any CFL game, event or exhibition. CFL game, event and exhibition tickets awarded may not be resold or offered for resale or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and experience forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the game, event or exhibition tickets.
(f) Any and all additional costs and expenses associated with experience acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided including but not limited to travel and health insurance, transportation costs (including checked baggage fees, excess baggage fees, seat selection, travel visas, and,, if applicable, any transportation to and from the selected member’s residence to the international airport closest to the selected member’s residence within Canada and any, meals, gratuities, personal expenses, airport lounge expenses, and other expenses incurred by the selected members (and any guests) in claiming, accepting and/or using a prize are the sole responsibility of each individual selected member. Hotel accommodations only include room stays and hotel taxes and fees. Incidentals are not covered and at the expense of the Rewards Member participant. A valid credit card is required at Winnipeg Hotel check-in.
(g) The Rewards Member participants are not entitled to compensation amounts provided under any applicable passenger rights regimes.
(h) Airfare is subject to WestJet’s airline schedule, government restrictions and regulations, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. WestJet is not responsible for any delays, postponements, suspensions, rescheduling or flight cancellations, for any reason, without any compensation.
5. ELIGIBLE MEMBER SELECTION
a. The odds of being selected as the potential selected member are dependent upon the number of eligible expressed interest entries submitted and received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. On November 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00pm MT 22 Aerial Place NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 3J1 (the “Contest Date”), a data pull for all eligible members who have expressed interest will be completed and one (1) potential selected member will be selected by a random Contest from all eligible expressed interest entries submitted and received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Limit of one (1) Experience will be awarded.
b. Following the Contest Date, a designated WestJet representative will make no less than two (2) attempts to contact the eligible selected member by phone and/or email, during the three (3) day period (the “Contact Period”) immediately following the Contest Date. Upon notification, the eligible selected member must respond by telephone and/or email to the contact provided in the notification, and the eligible selected member’s response must be received by the WestJet by no later than 5:00 p.m. MT on the required return date stipulated in such notification. If the potential selected member does not respond in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, he/she may be disqualified, at the sole and absolute discretion of the WestJet, in which event he/she will not receive the experience and another potential selected member may be selected from the remaining eligible Expressed Interest Entries, in the WestJet’s sole discretion, whom the WestJet or its representatives will attempt to contact, and who must respond or will be subject to disqualification, in the same manner (adjusting timeframes, including the Contact Period, accordingly). Neither WestJet, nor any of the other Released Parties are responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of the eligible selected member to receive notification or for the WestJet to receive the eligible selected member’s response.
c. Before being declared as the confirmed selected member, the Potential Selected member will be required to fill out a Release and be required to fill out WestJet’s Declaration and Release form (the “Release Form”) in order to be declared a selected member. In the event that an eligible person fails to return their forms filled out within the allotted time period, or declines to accept the Release Form, he/she will be disqualified, the Experience to which he/she may otherwise have been entitled will be forfeited by him/her and a replacement member will be selected at random, without any liability to the Released Parties (as defined hereafter) whatsoever.
d. By completing and returning the Release Form, and accepting the experience, the Rewards selected member: (i) confirms compliance with these Terms and Conditions; (ii) acknowledges that the Experience must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted or transferred and has no cash surrender value; (iii) releases the WestJet, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents (the Released Parties) from and against all liability in connection with the Contest and the awarding and use or misuse of the experience; and (iv) consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province) and/or likeness (including photographs of the selected member), without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the WestJet, which publicity shall be at WestJet’s sole discretion, and may be in any media whatsoever, with respect to this Contest, unless prohibited by law.
e. Potential Selected members agree to cooperate in any investigations by WestJet to confirm his/her eligibility and to help ensure that the use of such Potential Selected member and/or selected member in advertising or publicity for the Contest will not bring WestJet into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Contest or WestJet, as determined by WestJet in its sole discretion. No correspondence will be entered into except with each Potential Selected member, and all Expressed Interest Entries become property of WestJet upon submission. If for any reason an Experience is returned as undeliverable for any reason whatsoever, the selected member will have forfeited his/her right to receive the Experience.
6. RELEASE
a. The selected member will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (“Release”) that confirms selected member’s:
• eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Rules;
• acceptance of the Experience as offered;
• release of the WestJet and all of the other Released Parties from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the experience or any portion thereof, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; and
• grant to the WestJet and the Released Parties the unrestricted right, in the WestJet’s individual discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the selected member’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof.
b. The executed Release must be returned within five (5) business days of the verification as a selected member or the selected potential selected member may, in the sole discretion of the WestJet, be disqualified and the experience be forfeited.
The Released Parties will not be liable for: (i) any failure of any website or any platform during the Contest; (ii) any technical malfunction or other problems of any nature whatsoever, including, without limitation, those relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, mobile devices, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the failure of any Expressed Interest Entry, and/or other information to be received, captured, recorded or work properly for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; (iv) any injury or damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in the WestJet Rewards Experience Contest; (v) any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed Entries; (vi) anyone being incorrectly and/or mistakenly identified as a recipient or eligible recipient; and/or (vii) any combination of the above.
7. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANT
By entering this Contest, each entrant expressing interest, releases and holds each of the Released Parties harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant, Released Party or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any experience, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Terms and Conditions, or in any experience-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
a. The Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete Expressed Interest Entries, Requests, Donations, notifications, responses, replies requests or any Release, or for any telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an Entry. The Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Expressed Interest Entries, Requests, and/or other information. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines on account of technical problems or otherwise. The Released Parties are not responsible for anyone being incorrectly and/or mistakenly identified as a selected member or eligible selected member.
b. The Released Parties are not responsible for any injury or damage caused to any entrant expressing interest, person or entity relating to or resulting from participating or attempting to participate in the Contest. Entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive the experience or any portion thereof. The Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the WestJet, such as infection by tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest.
9. CONDUCT.
By entering this Contest, each expressed interest entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which will be posted at https:/www.westjet.com/en-ca/rewards/offers/blue-jays-member-experience throughout the Contest Period. Each expressed interest entrant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of WestJet, which shall be final and binding without right of appeal in all respects. The WestJet reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be: (i) violating the Terms and Conditions; (ii) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; and/or (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
10. PRIVACY & USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the Contest, the entrant:
a. grants to the WestJet the right to use his/her name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (the “Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including, but not limited to, contacting the eligible selected member; and
b. acknowledges that the WestJet may disclose his/her Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of any of the WestJet in connection with any of the activities listed in (a) above.
The WestJet and any third-party agents of the WestJet will use the entrant’s Personal Information only for identified purposes and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with WestJet’s Privacy Policy available at: https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/legal/privacy-policy#:~:text=WestJet%20collects%2C%20uses%20and%20discloses,have%20identified%20in%20this%20policy. This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the WestJet or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their Personal Information.
12. TERMINATION AND AMENDMENTS
The WestJet reserves the right to with Contest, amend or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of any cause beyond the reasonable control of the WestJet that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules, including, without limitation, any error, problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or failure of any kind whatsoever.
