We had a really nice time. Our 10 y/o enjoyed meeting friends in the playroom and was well taken care of by Leslie, Dianne, Yara. and Maria. The wine tasting with Joel and Nataly was fun and interesting, and the scuba instructor Vanessa was very patient and helpful.
Renovation looks great, sales people are liars

TLDR: renovation looks great and app is really convenient but food wasn't stellar, sales pitch at check in was infuriating and AC didn't work properly. Pros: -mobile app - can use to for room service and booking dining reservations, among other things -The renovation looks amazing -rooms are spacious - next to a dive shop Cons: -overcrowded at pool even though the hotel wasn't at capacity -food was usually too salty and often weird interpretations of traditional recipes -sometimes we sat down for lunch and no one would come take our order -fans in bathrooms are non existent/not effective and no separate toilet room in most rooms -they try to get you to sit for a membership sales pitch at check in and it's so aggressive. He eventually came back to me the next day (he tracked me down at the pool - like seriously?) and told me only I had to go to the presentation, not my parents but when we went to check in for the presentation, the original salesman's supervisor said two people from my party had to go. They half apologized but didn't acknowledge any wrongdoing (either the salesman lied to me or he didn't understand the policy) and it just left such a bad taste in our mouths -the spa is overpriced and doesn't even have any facilities (sauna, steam room, pools). You can take a ferry to their sister property in Playa Carmen for spa facilities but what a trek for something that should be in the hotel for those prices -air conditioning was too cold. Wouldn't go higher than 21°C even though we had it set at 26°C. We even put in a maintenance order for it but they didn't fix it Not sure if I would come back here but if you know someone that has a membership, use theirs for a discounted price because it's not worth face value, especially since they blatantly lie to you to get you into their sales pitch
Cozumel 2025

We have been to Cozumel Palace several times but this was the first trip back since the renovation. Wow is it beautiful. They did a really great job updating our favorite little spot in Cozumel. The only thing I feel like was a miss was updating the plumbing in the lobby bathroom. For some reason the past few trips it’s had an odor and I had hoped that would be fixed. I was surprise to see my dear friend Julio in the Mexican restaurant. He was always my favorite outside but he made our dinners wonderful and it was a joy to catch up with him. It was great to see Reyes in the Lobby bar and Gabriel outside by the pool. Alan and Gabriel took wonderful care of us out by the pool every day during our stay. We really enjoyed being in their sections. I love the new Flamingo restaurant and renovation. It was nice to eat outside for lunch and dinner was fantastic. If you get lucky you can see one of the nightly shows form your table. We loved the piano player night in the lobby bar. Wine tasting with Joel was amazing like always. Something we always look forward to. See you again in July!!! It was great to see so many familiar faces.
Mediocre

I used to love Cozumel Palace. They have certainly changed. First, I would recommend they bring the evening buffet back because when hotel is at capacity there is little reservations unless you want to eat at 5 pm or after 8:30. This was an anniversary and I requested the complimentary anniversary dinner. They never acknowledged it until the day before I left. No anniversary note, no bottle of champagne nothing. The property is small and it’s what I love about it. They are trying to make it more upscale creating more reservations. Balcony chairs arrived right when I was leaving. I paid for oceanfront and it was right over Flamingos restaurant. I had to pay $500 to upgrade a room unless I wanted a double bed. The original room, you could only hear the vents screaming and food cooking in your room all day. Palace you real need to bring the outdoor buffet back if everything requires reservations. Thank you.

Just had a great meal at theGondola restaurant. Laura, our server, was excellent. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and very personable. The service was excellent which in turn made the overall dining experience. Her coworker, Victoria was also outstanding and attentive. The team of Laura and Victoria made our dining experience at 10
