Enjoyed our stay, however, would not return.

SunandSand77 (Chicago, Illinois) on Feb 03, 2023

Just returned from a 5 night stay, had a wonderful time. We’ve stayed at the Grand at Moon Palace many times and love it but wanted to try a new destination. Pros: Food and service are amazing. Rooms are large and beds very comfortable. Proximity to town. Small resort, easy to get around. Snorkeling was amazing. Cons: Towel game, chairs by the pool fill up early. Small resort, they stated setting up chairs around pool area around 5. Our last day they started moving chairs off VIP beach at 2:45 to set up for romantic dinner. It makes you feel unwelcome to sit and relax when they are moving everything around you. Loud music and grill going by pool area, all day long. Made it hard to relax on balcony in room. Lastly, spa and gym are underwhelming, they really need to add a sauna or steam room. Overall we loved Cozumel and enjoyed our stay but would not return to this resort.

Amazing Honeymoon Experience!! Wonderful staff and accommodations! Hoping to return again with friends and family!

Taylor B (Brunswick, Ohio) on Jan 25, 2023

There are not enough amazing things I can say about our stay or the staff at Cozumel Palace! We had an absolutely incredible honeymoon experience here and I am sure hoping to be back in the future with family and friends! Our arrival at the airport was a bit stressful due to three planes landing within a short time of eachother, so it was very crowded and a bit hectic, situations impatient Americans don’t always do well in. I would highly recommend booking your own PRIVATE shuttle rather than opting for a shared shuttle, as there was quite a bit of confusion between both the drivers and passengers regarding who was being dropped off where and when. We were passing Cozumel Palace when I had to ask our driver to stop and drop us off. However, any worries or troubles ended there! We walked out of our shuttle van and were instantly greeted by Manuel, who took our luggage and told us to enjoy and relax, we were home now! We walked in and were greeted with a refreshing green juice, cool washcloths, and I was given a rose! We checked in at the front desk with Joel, who was polite, informative, and friendly! He gave us a breakdown of what our week and room would entail, and even sent fresh Lavender pillows to our room upon arrival. We headed up to our room and our luggage was delivered minutes after by Manuel, who also helped us with our luggage during our departure. Great guy!! Our room and view were stunning! We stayed in room 505, which gave us a perfect view of the dolphin excursion next door. Waking up and walking out on our balcony to see them playing every morning was incredible!! Although I don’t usually agree with the confinement of wild animals, the dolphins did seem happy and well taken care of from our viewpoint. Our view of the water and entire resort did not disappoint either! We could easily spot out open chairs and see how busy it was or wasn’t downstairs. It was also incredible to see all of the cruise ships sailing through or docking each morning. I spent a few minutes each morning admiring the views and reading in our hammock. At night, you could watch or hear the entertainment from your room if you preferred. I don’t think there’s a bad view possible from any room here! Everyday our room was sparkling clean and multiple times fun surprises were left for us, including nightly candies, a surprise bottle of champagne, and rose petals covering the bed with cute his and hers t shirts!!! We ordered off the pillow menu multiple nights and had amazing aromatherapy in our room as well! The Entertainment Team was beyond amazing and absolutely the highlight of our stay at Cozumel Palace. Charlie, David, Luis, Moises, Leslie, and more made sure there were multiple daily activities and encouraged everyone to join in for the evening entertainment! They remembered our names from the day we met them and always addressed us by name, which we were so impressed by since there were so many people there! Truly such kind and genuine people. Everyday there were different fun competition games at the pool, pool volleyball, ping pong, and pickle ball. David took us out on kayaks and it was an incredible experience! He was so knowledgeable about the area and made us feel comfortable when we were a bit nervous because it was something we’d never done before! We also spent our last morning making bracelets with David and it was so fun! We’ll keep them forever! Charlie (aka CHARLIE JACKSON!!) broke out ALL of the dance moves many times!! His laugh and energy were infectious. Luis hosted evening Bingo, karaoke, card games, and even water aerobics! This team was truly the life of the party! There was NEVER a dull moment with this incredible team! They included EVERYONE in the fun. You couldn’t help but be in the best mood with them, on top of already being in a great mood being on vacation! They made sure there was something that everyone could be involved in at all times, shared great stories about their lives and experiences in Cozumel, and gave us helpful travel tips and recommendations. So many fun activities for all ages and groups and the team made it even better - amazing people who we will miss so much!! :) We got massages from Michelle and Minerva at the Awe Spa - which were great! Very relaxing and the ladies were friendly and caring! We were just a little disappointed when we arrived to our appt an hour early (as instructed) to take advantage of the spa/steam room and were told that Cozumel Palace didn’t have those amenities - the other resorts did. Not a huge deal, but wasted some time in our morning to make sure we were there an hour early for those and were looking forward to it. The morning buffet was delicious and every morning there was fun! I wish I could remember everyone’s names or had written them Down because they were all SO polite and quick to seat us and take our drink orders. Marco was one I remember who greeted us every morning with a warm smile! I could also tell Hector was working very hard every day!! Everyone truly was amazing. I loved all of the juice options and fresh waffles and French toast everyday! For dinner we made a reservation at Agra - which offered Indian cuisine. Our waiter, Eduardo, was FANTASTIC. The food was incredible. Such amazing service and delicious menu items!! We also ate at Momo (Asian cuisine) and were pleasantly surprised when Eduardo was our server again! He remembered our names from the night before and had great recommendations both evenings. He was very educated on the menu items and offered detailed recommendations. The food there was equally as amazing. Bugambillas (Mexican cuisine) was a fun experience with a really neat table side appetizer service!! We ate at the outdoor buffet a few nights too, and were thrilled to be seated at a table for two right next to the water, during the sunset! It was beautiful and the perfect romantic honeymoon experience! Jesus and David were two of our servers for the buffet and were so quick and diligent on making sure our drinks were full and our plates were cleared as soon as they were set to the side. The hostesses at both the indoor restaurants and outdoor buffet for the week of 1/14-1/21 were so pleasant and kind, always happy to see us, very accommodating, and greeting us by name! The Flamingo Bar staff was just as amazing as the rest of the staff! Javier was the first bartender we met and we gravitated to him our entire stay. He was so friendly and inviting! Every time we approached the bar he was so excited to see us! We also loved Juan at the pool bar! Everyone remembered our names and our favorite drinks - Tequila Parties!!! The drinks were great, the company was great, I really can’t say enough amazing things. We hugged Juan goodbye after we ordered our last Tequila Party before heading home! While hanging out at the pool, Jairo and Emmanuel were the main servers helping us. They checked up on us multiple times a day with friendly smiles and were always willing to help us! They were so friendly and kind. You could tell they were working SO hard to make sure everyone’s orders were fulfilled quickly and didn’t want to keep anyone waiting! I miss them already!!! We were a little nervous to go kayaking, and I jokingly said to Jairo that I’d need a Tequila Party waiting for me when we got back. After we kayaked we got back to our seats, Jairo was running over to us with two fresh drinks!!! Emmanuel’s humor and kindness made us feel so welcome and at home. He offered us different drink specials each day and his recommendations were delicious! We ordered food from the snack bar every day and the food was AMAZING. My husband loved the grilled cheeses and I enjoyed the Al pastor nachos and chips and guac! We tried the buffet one day too, which had different options and was fun! But we preferred to soak up all the sunshine and stay outside before returning home to snow. I want to thank EVERYONE at Cozumel Palace for all of the kindness, hospitality, and fun! Front of house and back of house, of all departments, you can see how hard this team works together to make sure everyone’s experiences are exceptional. I wish I could shout out and thank each individual person we encountered (I really did try!). If not for the amazing views, weathers, and experiences, the kind faces and friendly staff we met would be enough of a reason alone to return. I sure hope we will be back soon!!

Fabulous resort!

bfro73 (Lynnville, Indiana) on Jan 24, 2023

We stayed at the Palace to celebrate my 50th birthday. We’ve stayed at other Palace resorts before but first time in Cozumel. This resort is top notch. The room was amazing, food delicious, and staff so helpful and friendly. I have some food allergies and I was so impressed with how attentive they were to them. The resort is within walking distance to many activities and shopping. We were so happy with everything about the resort and island that were coming back in October! I highly recommend them.

Love the Palace

Defhero (Lakewood, Colorado) on Jan 21, 2023

Cozumel Palace is our go to. We have never had a bad stay there, even during covid, in fact it has always been wonderful. The staff is always great and the food is good! We are going back very soon for 12 days and after a cold/snowy winter we are having, it will be much needed, lol. We have only stayed at the Palace and the Presidente. Both are very good resorts, with 2 different styles (all-inclusive and 1 is not)! I would recommend both without a doubt!

Cozumel Palace—Intimate and Relaxing

Axtellc19 on Jan 18, 2023

We spent 5 days at Cozumel Palace. It was our first time visiting this palace resort as well as our first time on the island of Cozumel. First, the people are incredible. From the locals to the employees of palace, they are so kind and gracious. This is a smaller resort, so it takes no time at all to become recognized daily by the staff. They are attentive to details and remember you easily. Fili, one of the breakfast and lunch servers at Turqueso (morning and lunch Buffett) was excellent. I was craving coconut ice cream, but had only seen it on the dessert menu at Momo. I asked if he could get some for me and he did. The next day at lunch, he brought some to me because he’d remembered that I’d asked the day before. Again, the staff is attentive. (Photos below) Another staff member I want to recognize is Jennifer, one of the poolside servers. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive and we made a great connection with her, learning about her life outside of the resort too. She recommended a few local shops to pick up souvenirs that we were able to find. My husband who loves the swim up bar raves about Rodri, who provided my husband with a variety of different drinks throughout the duration of our stay. Rodri was great and also recommended some great ideas of things to do on the island. (Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get photos of these lovely employees) Things to do… The resort offered daily activities by the pool, and let me tell you, the entertainment staff works hard. We participated in the trivia, pool volleyball, and a few of their other sponsored activities. The spa was nice, it’s small, but they do a great job! We used our resort credits on a really cool experience called the Cuzamil Dinner. This was a five course progressive dinner that told the story of Cozumel’s history. It was really neat and included music and a projection on the table. It’s paired with local wines which were great. We really enjoyed learning more about the island and its history. One of the dishes connected to Punta Sur, which we had visited the day before. (Photos below) Snorkeling is also available at the resort. You can bring your own equipment or you can rent some. My husband was unsure if he would snorkel, so we didn’t bring our own equipment. The resort’s stuff isn’t bad, but he would have preferred his own. Palace has a walk in area for snorkeling or it has a pier you can jump from. The views, according to my husband, were incredible. (Photos below) We felt incredibly safe on the island, so we rented a keep for the day from HTL rentals. They were keeper than renting from the resort. (One word of caution, stand firm on the agreed upon price, they forgot to mention that taxes were in addition, not included.) When we arrived on the island, we asked one of the customs agents what he suggested we do on the island. He recommended Punta Sur, which was awesome. You pay $18 per person but there is so much to do: a lighthouse and museum, nature walks, lagoons with alligators, beach fronts where they have cabanas and places to purchase drinks. As you travel around the island, make sure you stop by Coconuts! The food was good, the drinks were strong, and the atmosphere is something you definitely want to experience. Renting the Jeep really was a highlight of our trip. (Photos of Punta Sur below) Overall we had a great trip and recommend anyone interested in visiting the island do so!
