Occidental Cozumel

Lori Z (Nobel, Canada) on Nov 24, 2025

If you’re looking for a great beach that you can walk on, this place could use some help! Unfortunately a great deal of the beach was washed away. Now there’s so many shells and the sand sinks under your feet. Not comfortable to walk along. It’s a beautiful view, the food is decent, the staff is very friendly and the resort is super clean! I would definitely go again. Well worth the money. We didn’t upgrade to the royal, but still enjoyed 5 a la cart reservations and the adult pool. Not many kids. We were there during the iron man competition/training so lots of people in the water.

Cozumel Mexican paradize

Will be nice a second buffet restaurant during breakfast, grounds are beautiful and well-maintained night shows are just ok for an open area, servers are the greatest asset of the hotel .

We had a great time! The dive shop is excellent, professional and knowledgeable. All of the staff were excellent. The resort grounds are lush and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again.

PLEASANT STAY

A A on Nov 18, 2025

Res. # 7364SF277263 Date of stay: Oct 05 - Oct 17 2025 From: United States PLEASANT STAY. The staff: The staff was overall very nice and receptive with exceptions far and few in between; but that can be expected anywhere. I can not name everyone but hats off to Ms. Cinthya B. - She stood out above all as being very attentive and taking care of concerns and needs.... I would give her 10 out of 10. Grounds: very nice and well cared for. Lush green. Old Mexican architecture but well taken care of. Very clean.... It rained quite a bit during the season that I stayed there. Mosquitos abound during the rainy season. So bring bug spray. Bug spray, sun block, sun glasses, and hat a must...... 10 out of 10 on grounds Pools: one for adults and one for everyone. It is nice to have one for adults only. The pools were overall well maintained. 9 out of 10 on pools. Restaurants and food: You had to get reservations for restaurants which were difficult to get. I would prefer first come first serve. I just find it stressful to have to beg for reservations. It takes the fun out of being there. If management wants to save seats for "preferred" guests, I would recommending for example saving 25 percent of capacity for preferred guest reservations and having the remaining 75 % left available on a first come first serve basis. Obviously the percentages can be altered to reflect capacity. In all honesty I think the quality of food can be "better" without going into specifics. Restaurant situation and food quality: 6to 7 out of ten. Rooms: Very nicely kept and clean. The only drawback was that they do not have a balcony unless you are in a privileged section. A small balcony would be appreciated. 8.5 out of 10 for rooms. Entertainment: Evening entertainment was mixed. Some good and some not so good. The "Mexican" show/dance was great. In fact, the best I have seen in many resorts that I have been to in Mexico. On the other hand, I hate to say it; the "disco" show was horrible. Need to work on that one..... Also: the duration of the shows were a bit short. About 30-35 minutes long. 7 out of 10 for entertainment. Mix of hotel guests: About 60 - 70% native Mexican. About 40 - 30 % international. As a side note: I found the Mexican guests extremely friendly and approachable which I found refreshing. I hope this review will be helpful....................

Not worth what was paid for the wedding

ryanktm150 on Nov 18, 2025

Over all it was al right for a Mexican vacation. The grounds were very nice and so was the staff. We feel like our allergies were not communicated to the chef very well. The wedding makeup and hair was not good my wife had her mother redo all of it. Just not worth the 7000 for the wedding.
