Scuba divers beware!

Steve H on Jan 17, 2026

Do not book your scuba diving through the hotel. Instead go directly to Pro Dive which operates at their facility. It is cheaper and they also offer a refund if the marina is closed for high wind or other problems develop.

The resort staff and room was great!

candice a (Savannah, Georgia) on Jan 12, 2026

Room and Staff was amazing! The food was cold at all buffets and even at the Mexican restaurant ended up going offsite several times just for hot food. We called it our weightloss trip. The pool was cold and no one wanted to go in. The activities at the pool weren’t fun, would have liked more music and lively entertainment

Great winter get-away!

cherylhB5420PU on Jan 12, 2026

The location in relation to the main city, is great. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, from the front desk, to the restaurants, entertainment, cleaning ladies. The were very accommodating. The food at the buffet was better than your average resort food. The only theme night we didn't enjoy was the Oriental. It was very salty. The restaurants were very good. We really enjoyed the Mexican and Seafood. We did have to save chairs at the beach early in the morning, or you have to sit on the sand. They could use more beach chairs. Our server Aaron at the buffet was great ??. He knew our drink preferences when we went there for breakfast. The entertainment was ok. The musical review on Sunday was the best. All the alcoholic drinks were good. They didn't skimp! Everyone is very friendly and are happy to help. The resort is constantly being refreshed and cleaned. We could have used some racks or something to hang wet clothes. Things don't dry because it was very humid. There was a small clothes line in the bathroom, but it didn't help that much. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend the resort highly.

Plenty of Other All Inclusives - Choose Wisely

lsr5536 (Round Rock, Texas) on Jan 09, 2026

We stayed at this all-inclusive recently and came away with mixed feelings that tipped the scale to the very disappointed end. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t start well — check-in was delayed by nearly two hours, with little communication or apology from staff, which was frustrating after a long trip. The check in staff didn't seem like they could be bothered to answer questions and spent a ton of time shuffling the same papers around. All we were trying to determine was whether or not we were staying near friends who had also booked rooms at the resort. The room was pretty clean but the AC thermostat did not work. It was either freezing in the room or the AC had to be turned off. The food was the biggest disappointment. For an all-inclusive, the quality and variety were well below expectations. Most meals were bland, repetitive, and often lukewarm, and even the specialty options didn’t really deliver. The pasta in the "specialty" restaurant was undercooked. That said, the beach was very nice and easily the highlight of the stay. They could use some more chairs. Clean sand and clear water made it easier to relax and enjoy the daytime. Overall, this resort has potential thanks to its location, but the long check-in delays and poor food, and drinks, really held it back. If the beach is your top priority, you may still enjoy it — just manage your expectations on everything else.

Zero Flexibility for Airline Delays — Not Guest-Focused for an All-Inclusive Resort

Morgan M on Jan 09, 2026

We are currently staying at this resort and want to clearly document how an unavoidable travel disruption was handled. Due to a documented airline mechanical delay, we were physically unable to arrive on the first night of our reservation. We contacted the resort immediately once we learned of the delay and arrived as soon as it was physically possible. Despite providing advance notice, our reservation was still marked as a “no show.” At check-in and afterward, we were repeatedly told that we had “signed a form” and that the policy therefore could not be adjusted. While we fully acknowledge that policies exist and that we agreed to the terms at booking, policies do not negate the fact that this is an all-inclusive resort and that we received absolutely no room access, food, beverages, or services for the missed night. What makes this particularly frustrating is that this was not treated as a rigid policy issue, but as a refusal to exercise discretion. We are aware, through numerous guest reviews, that this resort has accommodated similar airline-delay situations in the past as a goodwill gesture, which makes the refusal in our case feel inconsistent and unfair. Good faith accommodations are clearly possible; they were simply not offered to us. The lack of flexibility extended beyond the missed night. Upon arrival, we asked if we could be added to the dinner reservation list for that evening and were told no, and instructed to return the following morning to book for the next day. Had we arrived on time, as we fully intended, we would have been able to secure that reservation. Instead, the airline delay resulted in additional lost dining opportunities, again with no attempt to help or offset the impact. Throughout these conversations, the tone from management felt dismissive rather than empathetic. We were polite, calm, and reasonable, yet the response was essentially that policy mattered more than guest experience, even when no services had been rendered at all. We are not asking the resort to take responsibility for the airline. We are asking for acknowledgment that a completely unused all-inclusive night provided zero value, and that refusing any goodwill adjustment, refund, extension, credit, upgrade, or otherwise—reflects poorly on guest service standards. The property itself is attractive, and some staff members have been kind. However, future travelers should be aware that if you experience any travel delays or itinerary changes, this resort is unlikely to accommodate you in good faith, even when advance notice is given and no services are used. That is an important consideration when booking an all-inclusive vacation where flexibility matters.
