Beatriz Made Our Stay Unforgettable

During our stay at Secrets Cap Cana, we had the absolute pleasure of being welcomed by Beatriz, one of the hostesses. From the very first moment, she stood out with her incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive nature. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special every single time we saw her. Wherever Beatriz was hosting that day — no matter which restaurant — she brought an amazing energy that truly lit up the place. Her big smile and wonderful attitude made every dining experience feel extra special. She created such a positive atmosphere that we always looked forward to seeing her. There was one evening in particular where Beatriz made our night unforgettable — her kindness and personal touch turned it into a truly memorable experience. She made each interaction feel sincere and meaningful, and her presence alone had the power to brighten our entire day or night. Beatriz represents the very best of Dominican hospitality. Through her, we saw the heart and warmth of the Dominican people at its highest. She’s a true gem, and we feel so lucky to have met her. Thank you, Beatriz, for making our trip even more special!

Beautiful resort. The friendliest staff. Great food and drink selection. Lots of fun activities. The only disappointing part of our trip is that we could not go to the beach or into the water as there was so much seaweed. I would suggest looking at projected beach conditions before booking as I believe this happens only certain times of the year.
Excellent experience, the staff are amazing and the food was great, lots of options available for everybody.

The hotel is very beautiful and well maintained, the food is excellent and the staff are some of the best I’ve experienced in all my travels, so attentive, kind and pleasant to be around.

This was our second stay at Secrets Cap Cana, and it was just as amazing as the first. Unfortunately there was the issue with the seaweed, but that is not the resorts problem and they did an amazing job to address the issue as best they could. However the reason for this review is the service. The service at Secrets Cap Cana is second to none. Each and every member of the staff makes you feel welcome, relaxed and cared for. I would like to especially call out Maria who was our server for 3 of our 4 days at the Preferred Club pool. She interacted with every guest and did a phenomenal job at keeping the good vibes going, all while ensuring everyone had enough to eat and drink. She even went above and beyond and introduced us to another server who would be there to tend to us as she was not scheduled to work on our last day. Truly amazing!

After researching resorts in Punta Cana, based on reviews my wife and I decided to book Secrets Punta Cana. We were seeking a luxury adult all-inclusive resort and Secrets seemed to fit the bill. We decided to splurge on a swim out suite with an ocean view for about 4X the rate of a normal room. Upon arrival at the resort, Check-in was a first-rate experience. The variety of restaurants provided was excellent; the quality of the food was good but not outstanding. The quality of entertainment provided for the 2 different shows we saw was an unexpected bonus. The grounds and multiple pool areas were outstanding with plenty of shaded areas provided. We found the room to be excellent with the view as promised with only one glaring issue. Three out of the four days of our stay, we were not able to get hot water in our shower after running it at different settings for well over 5 minutes each time. Despite the hotel’s efforts to get this corrected, we were not able to get hot water in under 1 minute until the last day of our stay. Ice cold showers are not the expectation for a room costing over $2000 per night. We made this evident during our checkout process and expected reasonable compensation for our inconvenience. We have stayed at many 5-star hotels during our travels and occasionally situations arose that required attention from management to correct unforeseen circumstances. In all those times, Secrets Cap Cana was the first that did not offer a solution by management prior to our checking out. We were told that an email would be sent to management and that we would receive an offer of compensation within 3 business days. We felt a reasonable offer would have been one night credited back from our 4-night stay. Rather, the offer we received after waiting several days was a discount on a future stay at the resort. It seems ludicrous that the compensation offered required us to spend more money at this resort in order to get any benefit. We replied to management that their offer was not adequate and were told that they would re-evaluate our complaint and get back to us. No reply was ever received. In summary, this resort’s response to our very valid complaint was sorely inadequate in our opinion. A luxury resort should be judged not when everything goes right but rather how they handle a problem during the stay. Not having a mechanism for addressing a problem during the check-out problem is a definite red flag. Based on this, we would not recommend spending hard-earned money visiting this resort.
