Paradise in Every Moment

tiffanypH3567AB on Sep 23, 2023

Let me start by saying that the decision to upgrade to preferred was 100% worth it! We started with the warm embrace of Edelyn, who checked us in. Her kindness made us feel right at home, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. Javier, the bartender of the preferred lounge, knew how to craft the best Bloody Mary’s, and his charisma was off the charts. We made it a point to start our days with Javi. Anibal, our concierge, was the true magician behind the scenes. When we were wondering our daily plans, Anibal would appear, armed with upgraded dinner reservations, beachside extravaganzas, and a commitment to ensure we were satisfied. Anibal’s infectious personality became the life of our party. It was the incredible staff who transformed our vacation into sheer greatness. Bravo!

Great service but not worth it for quality or culture

Nate D (Charlotte, North Carolina) on Sep 23, 2023

Great people and service but food was lacking flavor and often overcooked. It’s very disappointing to go to the DR and not find daily Dominican food but our server/manager Christian made a huge difference in our experience. Christian personally asked the Sous Chef of the French restaurant to make an off-menu Dominican Mofongo that was definitely the best meal of our trip. Our concierge, Martinez, was also very nice in helping us change rooms due to a foul moldy odor in our 1st room (stay away from 5508 if you can lol), he sent us daily texts with resort events, and also helped us once when our room key stopped working. The spa, wine list, and cigars are all stupid level expensive. Minimum $285 for a 50 minute massage, $160 for a Tiny box of 10 little cigars, and $200 for a normal $40 bottle of wine… yikes. Plus get this, the resort doesn’t allow normal UberX to come there. You have to use uber select. Best to take their free shuttle to the overpriced Blue Mall and catch an UberX from there. “Select” just means 4X the price for the crappiest van I’ve ever ridden in. What a joke. This resort is a huge cash grab. Oh, and hope you don’t want much cultural experience, with the exception of 1 hour the whole week, we don’t hear any Spanish music… The only reason for the 4 stars is I don’t want to hurt the hard workers there. They’re very nice and pleasant people that offer kind and professional service.

Best vacation spot for our 20th anniversary

pumpkinpie025 (Hershey, Pennsylvania) on Sep 23, 2023

So happy we decided to book our week (September 13-19) and dodged Hurricane Lee. The resort was beautiful, and the food was really good. Portofino italian was our favorite with the short rib and the cannelloni were to die for. Awesome coffee shop, they'll make whatever you like and however you like it. Leiry, Gabriel, Donia were all fabulous. Our room was spacious and the AC was adjustable to your preference. We had preferred club and were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved having Carlos, our butler. He was fabulous, convenient, and right on point. He checked in on us daily, gave us the daily itinerary, handled some minor inconveniences we had in our room and our reservation to the hibachi (the only restaurant that needed a reservation). He surprised us with a room full of rose petals, champagne, and goodie platter. He handled our checkout process and transfers to the airport. Honestly, were not needy or high maintenance couple, but having Carlos was a convenience we didn't expect. He called us 'family' and that's exactly how we came to see him. The beaches have minimal seaweed, but they clean the beach daily. The ocean is beautiful, and we swam in it daily. We used paddle boards and loved the daily entertainment. Mini and the other person did a great job of getting everyone to participate water aerobics, the men even participated. We enjoyed the rosewater restaurant Rafael, Rigoberto, and Lizette were always happy to see you. The only negative are the mosquitos. The rooms have Off spray. They are relentless. The preferred pool was quiet and relaxing. the main pool had more activities such as water aerobics. They had someone walk around the pool and make crepes, pizza, popsicles, and other foods during the week. They had different food tasting events like rum, chocolate, wine which made things interesting. So, all in all, the food is great, the property is nice and clean, they have great entertainment and activities for guest. Everyone is nice and receptive and welcoming. You won't be disappointed.

We had a fantastic time at Secrets Cap Cana.

jcsaszarmiller (Twinsburg, Ohio) on Sep 23, 2023

We enjoyed ourselves throughly. Everything was top notch. From the moment we arrived, Carlos took care of us. Checked us in, got us settled and made our trip so enjoyable. He booked our dinners at all the fabulous restaurants and made celebrating our anniversary’s amazing. He was the best. He even went out of his way to get us something that we really needed. Also, shout out to the amazing staff - Ricky Bobby, Smile, Mini, Coco Chanel Angela and Esparanza at the pool. They were so attentive to our needs. The entertainment staff was so awesome. The place was extremely clean and the house keeping was spot on. Thanks so much for a great stay. We will definite back.

Great honeymoon trip!

Slydon1044 on Sep 23, 2023

We spent a week here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Every staff member was kind and helpful, especially our butler Enrique. The food, drinks, amenities, and services were all amazing. We would definitely come back!
