This place is absolutely amazing! Everything was spotless and beautifully maintained, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly — we even made a lot of new friends during our stay. We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back!

This was one of the best holidays we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, it just got better and better. The whole resort is well maintained and spotlessly clean and the staff are just amazing, all so friendly and helpful. We had a Junior Suite, Tropical View and it was stylish , really spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was big with a huge, double rainforest shower and we loved the high end Le Labo toiletries which were provided and lots of towels. The bed was massive and really comfortable. The pools were excellent, like infinity pools linked together, all the way down to the beach, but you couldn’t get into one from another which was good for sectioning parts off for activities etc. There were lots of loungers and parasols and never a problem getting them. Service around the pool was exceptional and a special mention for Esperanza for her fantastic towel service. The beach is really nice and well kept. Again, plenty of beds and shades. There wasn’t a lot of seaweed but they do have a barrier a little way out in the sea to keep this down. Watersports off the beach well run and very helpful staff. We really enjoyed the food, from the snacks and salads in Coco Cafe, the really tasty little nibbles brought around the pool at midday, to all of the restaurants. Breakfast buffets had such a variety of foods with various cooking stations., the breakfasts at Seaside Grill with waiter service were fab. Oceana was our favourite restaurant, but we did like all of the others. The entertainment was great fun and there was something for everyone, if you want to do it- there’s no pressure at all. Water aerobics, water spin bikes !!! amazing, archery, beach pickle ball ….. Evening shows- some good, some not so good, depending on what’s your thing. Live music in lobby was always very good. There was a really great atmosphere nearly all of the time, the exceptions being when a couple of corporate groups arrived; they seemed hell bent on getting drunk as quickly as they could and were loud and rowdy in the pool and at dinner, but it didn’t last very long. It has to be said that it’s the staff and their service that makes this place so special. Big shout out and thanks to - Ice Cube, a lovely guy and great fun, Scooby, Johncena, Mini mi, Rhianna(bongo bongo!) , La Diva, Maria all from the brilliant entertainment team - hello from Papa and Mama, Daniela at Oceana, Randall, so charming and helpful and the lovely ladies at Coco Cafe. All in all we had the best time and will be returning in November.

Wonderful resort and staff. Everyone went above and beyond our expectations. My wife and I were celebrating 15 yrs of marriage and traveled with 5 othe couples. We had a renewal of vows ceremony in the Garden area. Multiple food options and every restaurant gave great service and good food/drinks. Entertainment every day and night, from free mixology class to silent disco at night. So much to do. Never a dull moment. Only negative was the beach. Seaweed collected on the beach daily and the water was a murky green, until you look past the break wall, where the water was a beautiful 3 colors of blue. To me, room service food was just o.k. The beach grill, specialty restaurants and Coconut Bar (fresh coconuts daily) were great.

I’ve stayed at Secrets Cap Cana twice now, and the difference in treatment between traveling as a couple versus traveling with my mom was honestly disappointing. When I visited with my husband, we were treated incredibly well. The service was amazing, staff went above and beyond, and they did thoughtful special touches throughout the trip that made us feel celebrated and valued as guests. This trip, I brought my mom to celebrate her retirement after 30+ years of nursing. I informed the resort ahead of time that we were celebrating a major milestone, yet there was zero acknowledgment. Meanwhile, we saw multiple other rooms with celebratory door signs and decorations throughout the resort. The resort itself is beautiful and the staff were still polite, but the overall experience felt noticeably less attentive and far more “second rate” compared to when I traveled as part of a romantic couple. It gave the impression that this resort caters heavily toward couples and honeymooners while other guests are treated as less important. I still think Secrets Cap Cana is a gorgeous property, but I do think future travelers should know that the experience may vary significantly depending on who you travel with.

This is our second visit to this hotel (our first was in 2023). It’s still as amazing as before. Just luxury personified. The standouts are the staff (special mention to Alexander our concierge) who make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble, and the food. We ate in all the restaurants except Himitsu, and enjoyed the themed Havana and Mexican nights with entertainment and buffet food. The menus were clearly labelled for Gluten Free which was an added bonus. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms well equipped, with a comfortable bed and mini bar which is restocked daily. We will definitely be back for a 3rd time.
