We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa. The resort is beautiful, very clean, and located on a stunning beach, though a lot of sea weed. The staff were friendly and attentive, always making us feel welcome. The food was excellent with plenty of dining options, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We would definitely recommend it and would love to return in the future!

The preferred club is definitely not worth the upgrade. The services outside of that area were better than in the club only areas. The beach service, however, was amazing. But I believe the other side, from watching from our room, seemed similar. The beach and ocean were full of seaweed, with the ocean to the point you could not swim or even put your feet in the water. We made the best of it with the pool, which we did enjoy. But with nobody on the beach, it was difficult to find room to get a drink from the pool bar. All that said, the employees were outstanding!! Hands down some of the best at a resort we’ve experienced. Food was good, 24 hour room service was nice, buffet was great.

We had an exceptional experience at this resort, large part of that was due to our butler Matiel, Francisco, Xiomara, and Maria along with the staff at Rose Water. From the moment we arrived, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Their professionalism, attention to detail, positive attitude/friendliness, and willingness to help made a lasting impression, not to mention we were treated like royalty! They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. These hard-working employees are a tremendous asset to the resort and set the standard for outstanding customer service. We sincerely hope management recognizes their dedication and contributions, as they are highly deserving of commendation. Their service exceeded our expectations and was truly the highlight of our vacation. Francisco not only remembered our drink orders but treated us like gold…the food was exceptional but his service was even better. Matiel kindly surprised us with special anniversary and birthday gifts and was constantly making himself readily available (without being pushy) for anything we needed. We looked forward to our time at the beach because we knew we would receive excellent service. This was not only the best resort we’ve ever visited, it was the best vacation and we’re already planning our next vacation to Secrets Cap Cana!

We stayed at Secrets Cap Cana from 05/29-06/05 for our honeymoon in a Preferred Bungalow Swim-Out room, #1001. What an amazing experience..We chose this resort based off of online reviews, and they did not disappoint. There’s a lot of back-and-forth between the preferred club being worth it or not..it definitely is worth it if you’re looking to relax. For the additional food options alone, it’s worth it..we ate at Rosewater twice every single day. Other than being in paradise, you will quickly learn the staff are what make this resort truly special. In other reviews, people say they’ll make you want to tip them..I was skeptical, but they’re 100% right. You can submit a request for a specific Concierge, and I strongly advise that request be for Darling. He made sure we had everything we needed or wanted every single day, multiple times a day. He updated us on daily activities and booked our evening dinner reservations every morning, and even on our last day when we caught him on our way to check out, he had a fresh cut rose for my wife. That’s the short version, but this guy is top notch. We were fortunate to have him. The best dinner restaurants are Portofino and Bordeaux..that is a solid opinion from a foodie. For preferred club, Rosewater is the BEST breakfast and lunch spot you will find..that’s an actual fact. Yes, the beach had sargassum. Along with the barrier bet in the water, they run a tractor every morning with rakes and shovels to try and clear it, but there’s only so much you can do. It did not stop us from having a great time kayaking, and some people who really didn’t care swam through it and past the barrier into clearer waters. Other than kayaking, we had no reason to leave the pool. I could go on and on but I hope this review helps anyone else searching for their honeymoon destination, as the other reviews did for us. Unforgettable experience!
