This resort sets a high bar for All Inclusives

I have been to the Dominican Republic 8 times staying at different resorts each time. I know how important choosing the right resort is because it's your vacation & you're spending your hard earned dollars on it. I hope my review from my perspective & travel experience helps you decide. This resort is perfect for the person or couples who want & enjoy a laid back atmosphere who want to be pampered. This IS NOT a party resort. There are activities throughout the day like crafts and sports/contests but no crazy loud music or foam parties like at other resorts I've stayed at. The nightlife after the 9PM nightly show isn't there either so if you are seeking lots of nightlife this resort may not be for you either. But....for those of you who want a very nice room, with nice amenities, wonderful food & drinks, beautiful pool & beach, and a staff that is as welcoming & attentive to your needs you will ever find then look no further than Secrets Cap Cana. Usually, food & drink quality are the problem at all inclusives. That's not the case here. I say this comparing the food to other all inclusives I have been to not the finest restaurants in any town in America. That's not a fair comparison. Overall, customer service, location, cleanliness, attention to detail, beach, pool, vibe, and value for your money is all right here at Secrets Cap Cana. I plan to return and recommend this resort!
Amazing!! ??

My brother and I were at the Secrets Cap Cana for the first week of June 2025 - and had an absolutely amazing time!! The lobby is stunning, the rooms are immaculate and very clean, and the food is amazing! We ate at the Mexican, French, Italian and the Oceana restaurants and truly the food is five stars and the most delicious we've had in the Caribbean. As reference, we've been to Aruba, Curacao and many Mediterranean beaches in South of France, Amalfi Coast in Italy and the Cyclades in Greece, and this hotel is one of the best we've been to. Really the lobby itself was stunning and as if out of a dream! I love the Dominican Republic and have been there many times for the past twenty years, it has a special place in my heart, and this hotel was amazing offering my brother and I an unforgettable family trip! The beach has a powdery soft white sand - truly amazing, and we are beach people so we spent all of our time at the beach! I tried the pool once and the water was amazing, and the views stunning from the infinity pool. All the staff are really nice and sweet and do the best so make sure all the guests have a relaxing and beautiful time! Now about the sargassum (seaweed) in the sea - yes, there was sargassum while we were; one of the days we actually couldn't even walk into the sea - but - there was actually a record high amount of sargassum affecting the majority of Caribbean beaches at that time (we saw it on the news). This is not a Punta Cana problem, and it's certainly not a hotel problem - this is nature and it's affecting the majority of Caribbean islands. I think as human beings we need to be humble enough to recognize that some things are nature, climate change but it is also us as humanity and the ways in which we may have contributed to all these nature changes. It's also not just a tourist thing about not having fun in the blue waters, this is unfortunately affecting the locals, the fishermen, the coastal vegetation on some of the islands etc., and I truly do hope we can all come together as humanity and find ways to help one another as nations and environmental initiatives. Having said that - the hotel Secrets Cap Cana did the best they could and there was many workers helping to clean the beach, there were visible and tireless efforts to do the best they can, and truly my brother and I were so thankful for all their hard work! They worked so hard under the heat to clean the beach as much as possible, it was humbling to see. The beach does have a net for the seaweed to help as well, but it was just a record high phenomena during our stay. So for those travellers who were there the first week of June, just know it was something out of the ordinary. It did however teach us so much about sargassum, what had been affecting the islands for many years now, and we learned a lot; and we wanted to learn more as we educated ourselves on ways this could be dealt with in the future and utilize the sargassum in ways it may help such as fertilizer etc. One thing we actually did during our first beach days was that we bought a floating mat - and used the float to jump across seaweed and go further into the sea! We had a lot of fun! I really appreciate the sustainability efforts of the hotel Secrets Cap Cana that they are involved in, and that they are committed to sustainability through various practices! As a humanitarian myself, I really appreciate their sustainability practices including environmental protection, responsible business practices and community engagement. Final words - Whatever was in the control of the hotel, they did, and they did amazingly! Nature is not in their, nor our, control, and it is what it is, but my brother and I still had the best time ever, and would definitely wish to come back!
Amazing vacation, Amazing Place

I'm writing to express how much we enjoyed our recent stay at your resort. We were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience, especially the exceptional staff who were always friendly and happy to assist. The food was also absolutely delicious. Our only minor observation was the significant amount of seaweed in the ocean during our visit. However, we truly appreciated the visible efforts of the resort staff to clear it each day. Thank you for providing such a memorable vacation. We look forward to the possibility of returning in the future.
Sargasso fest
Janna2323 (Texas City, Texas) on Jun 05, 2025
If you like the Sea it is dead and taken by sargasso. Curvy waters brown color and impossible to swim. Pools overcrowded once the beaches are practically unusable. Food is a mix of left overs, beside sand nothing looks fresh. Beer is cold and staff is trying their best. Trip advisor deletes bad reviews so I am posting it on other websites as well.
Another wonderful visit

This was our sixth visit and they just keep getting better! The resort has everything we could ask for….beautiful grounds and pools and a lovely beach, comfortable rooms, great food and drinks, delicious coffee drinks, and the best staff we have ever encountered! There are too many special touches to list Our amazing concierge Yafreisi greeted us with a warm welcome and a beautifully decorated room. She always makes sure we have the best relaxing vacation. Maria in the lobby is honestly the sweetest person. She goes out of her way to make sure we are taken care of and always with a smile. Yenny never walks past without checking in on us and always has a smile on her face. Henry, Jerry, Marlan and Augustin at the lobby bar are so entertaining and make the most amazing cocktails. I love their creativity! Gibelat the breakfast buffet and Mexican restaurant has the greatest smile and makes sure you have everything you could possibly want. Judit at the pool not only keeps the drinks coming but keeps the water cold with fresh ice and is always happy and singing. Joel at Seaside and Bordeaux provided great service and made sure we never went hungry. We treat ourselves to the spa each visit and Eliza and gisbel (spelled terribly wrong) gave the most amazing relaxation massages. The staff truly makes this place so special. We have made so many wonderful memories here and so very grateful to each and everyone. We can’t wait for our next trip
