5-Star Service! Rebeccah, Clayton, and Erick are the best!

I had an incredible stay at Mission Pacific Beach Resort! This team absolutely knocked it out of the park. A huge thank you to Rebeccah and Clayton. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made a world of difference during my stay. They are true assets to the resort, and I was so impressed that I made a point of sharing my praise with management. Speaking of management, meeting Erick (Guest Experience Manager) on my way out was the perfect "cherry on top." He was genuinely interested in my feedback, and I was blown away when he followed up with a personal email the very next day. It’s rare to see that level of genuine care and proactive follow-up these days. The resort is beautiful, but it’s the people who make it special. If you want to be treated like a valued guest, stay here. I’ll definitely be back!
For a special treat at a reasonable price, this is the place!

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. The staff, the decor, the cleanliness, the service, the location right downtown and along the beach and pier...everything was fantastic, and well worth the price. You can spend less elsewhere but you'd be missing out on this 5 star experience.
The ocean view is worth it

Ocean view is worth it The rooftop new year celebration 2026 got cancelled at the last minute due to weather . But they didn’t organize even anything small and indoor to compensate it.
Reset Expectations for booking AMEX FHR
NativeAustinite (Austin, TX) on Dec 31, 2025
Reset your expectations. Book with AMEX FHR? Everyone here does! Room upgrade: denied. Early check in: denied. Resort credit: a hassle to get added to both room folios. Check-in wait: 30 minutes in line. Waiting line to pick up keys when the room was finally ready, another 20 minutes. We booked 2 sanctuary ocean front studios months ago and got the 2nd and 3rd floors with views of the street. Mini bar drinks are warm, no slippers, no aluminum water bottles they spoke of, one room had a bath balm, the other didn’t. No turn down, no bath rugs, extremely loud street noise disrupts sleep. The rooftop bar can be skipped; told us we could have a table in full sun only for an hour (it was a Monday and not full) and then we waited 30 minutes for someone to come by to order drinks. Breakfast: the only outlet (across the street at Sea Bird) that includes breakfast for FHR requires reservations and is overwhelmed. Coffee: took 15 minutes to be poured. Our server Charlie forgot my order, brought it when the others were nearly done eating and said “no worries” when she dropped it off. If you want stress free, pass on this hotel, but the Oceanside pier is super cool. The vibes at Seabird seemed better than Mission. Sunny’s spa, especially Hugo was wonderful and the service at the Seabird pool bar was the best with good food and drinks. There are lots of Fine Hotels and Resorts in this part of Southern California and I’ll choose another next time.
