Beautiful Hotel, nice staff, but overall a disappointment.

Over priced for what it is. Restaurants close during the day, making it difficult get food upon check-in. They did offer over priced snacks in the front bar. As for our room, it looked nice, but we could hear the people above us walking around all evening and night. Just was expecting more from a hotel that touts itself as a first class experience. Also be prepared to be nickel and dimmed a bit.
An outstanding luxury hotel that puts Oceanside on the map!

I really love this hotel. Excellent room service menu and terrific breakfast at Piper. Actually, this hotel sits just a couple hundred yards from my former place of employment -- the Wyndham Oceanside pier -- a place that never impressed me much (aside from their steakhouse. Seabird, on the other hand, is the exact opposite: Beautiful, clean, comfortable with excellent service and a fablous bar with views of the ocean and direct beach access. Easy valet parking is so nice, too...even if overpriced ($47 a night?) The bottom line is: I do a lot of travel every month betweeen Baja Sur, Mexico and L.A. by way of the San Diego metro area because I used to live in Point Loma and keep a storage unit in San Ysidro. I will absolutely be returning to the Seabird again, whenever I need a hotel in the North County area. I just love the place.
Stylish hotel, great staff & a great location

My wife & I stayed at the Seabird one night while we were visiting family in Oceanside. From the time we arrived to the time we checked out we received great service. All the employees including the valet, front desk, lobby bar and the restaurant were super friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is extremely nice and stylish with clean, fresh white walls and sea decor. Our room had a nice view of the pool & beach. The room had a mini fridge & coffee maker along with a walk-in shower & barn door for the toilet room. The bed, chairs and couch were very comfortable. The hotel, besides being right across the street from the beach, is in walking distance of many restaurants and bars. We couldn't enjoy any of the perks they offer for going to the beach, but we will definitely be back in the summer to take advantage of them. We had breakfast at their restaurant, Piper. My wife ordered off the menu & I had the breakfast buffet which included waffles, French toast, salmon, bacon, and made-to-order omelets among other delicious options. We had made reservations, but we still had to wait in a line with people who didn't have reservations. I would've thought they'd have a separate line for people with reservations. Luckily we got in line before it got too long... My truck didn't fit in the valet garage, but I was able to park in the parking lot right across the street. It's only $5 per day, but you have to go out at midnight to pay for the next day. It wasn't so bad since we were still up, but be prepared for a line with everyone else doing the same. We highly recommend staying at the Seabird Ocean Resort any time of the year. There are perks for staying here all year long and the staff truly makes is memorable.

Great location and great service. Loved going for a run on the beach right out front and the complementary beach chairs. Breakfast at Piper was lovely. Wonderful pool with a view, and excellent poolside service. All staff was friendly at welcoming from the welcome champagne toast to the valet getting our car and offering to go water bottles at the end
Beautiful Resort

This property is gorgeous! It’s not too large, so clean and something beautiful to look at in every corner. The two queen room with balcony was just enough size for the four of us for two days. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom is exquisite, and the balcony was spacious. We enjoyed the free surfboards, boogie boards, beach toys & umbrella with chairs. Our kids had a blast. Oceanside is a quaint sleepy little beach town which was perfect for us. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and gift shops and taking a beachside walk every morning and evening.
