Deceptive parking info

kaybert22 (Bethesda, Maryland) on Apr 22, 2024

I stayed at the Sheraton while visiting Canada for a school Reunion. This was my first n last stay at this property. Their information on line in regards to parking fee is very deceptive. It states $38 per day, which is not the case. You do pay $38, but it does not state No in n out privileges. Eash time you leave, you have to pay. The max is $38. We checked in, and was in the room for about an hr( maybe less) and had to pay $38 on leaving. So each time we left, if we stayed over half hr, we would have to pay $38. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, n had to cancel the 2nd night n book elsewhere, because there's no way we could afford $38 each time we were leaving, since we were there for a school Reunion, so of course we will be in n out all day for the two days. This hotel is for folks who are not driving, or if you intend to park n not use your car until you're getting ready to check out. It was such a headache that one night dealing with all that mess. I also realized the way the Canadian hotels operate, are so different from the US. The US hotels staff are way more professional and knowledgeable of their job than the Canadian ones are. So unlike Marriott with their customer service. Marriott needs to pay attention to these Canadian Hotels; they are giving the company a bad rep. I am always disappointed at the services I receive in Canada ( for the most part). Not Marriott-like at all. I am not the one to write reviews, but I am tired of the bad Customer service at the Canadian hotels each year I go. I expect to have great service, such as the ones I'm used to in the US. I will be checking to make certain the parking info is updated on their site.

Stylish airport hotel

billybob101 (Vancouver, Canada) on Apr 03, 2024

Two stays here within a couple weeks. Obviously very convenient for any departure or arrival terminals. Stylish revamp of this place gives it a contemporary and sleek feel. My first stay my room was very close to the airport train that one uses to get between the hotel and other terminals - I found that quite loud - especially combined with all the air traffic noise. I did bring earplugs and for sure used them. My second stay I was on the other side of the hotel so it wasn’t an issue I found that guests tend to arrive all at once - and reception can have a huge line at times. If you have access to the mobile key function I would strongly recommend you use it - I did and it saved a ton of time.

My preferred YYZ hotel! (Perfect when flying out of Terminal 3)

Barb K (London, Canada) on Mar 24, 2024

We LOVE staying here. Anytime we fly out of Terminal 3 it's like adding an extra day to our vacation. The convenience is worth every penny. We are titanium platinum elite Marriott members, and always receive an upgrade without asking. The VIP lounge is wonderful..... with a fabulous complimentary buffet breakfast. In the evening the lounge puts out a nice selection of hors d'oeuvres at 5pm. The bar serves up a mean Smoked Bourbon Old Fashion, and has an excellent choice of fine wines. Can't wait to return....see you in a few weeks! ??

Convenient

What (Toronto, Canada) on Mar 24, 2024

Great hotel for an overnight stay on the way to or from somewhere. Easy access to both terminals. It is very expensive, but worth it for the convenience, especially in wintry weather. But requiring three days’ notice for cancellation is outrageous, especially for an airport hotel (that’s why not 5 stars). One other beef is the thick carpets in the halls. Everyone staying here has large suitcases to haul and it is very hard work on those carpets.

Pricey Hotel

ibogovics (Budapest, Hungary) on Mar 23, 2024

Very comfortable room but over priced for the amenities. The only advantage is the facility is located on the airport property. Easy check-in and check-out. The carpets in the hallway make it difficult to roll large suitcases, something the hotel could correct.
