Had an amazing time at planet play, jennifer and karla are the best!! Jennifer even pkayed tag with us. Would highly recommend.

While we feel that there are a lot of improvements that could be made to this resort, overall we had a nice time. Our favorite day was taking the catamaran to Isla Mujeres using Nexus through the hotel. Our captain and boat crew were great! Francisco at the main pool was our guy. He made us feel like family and it was a pleasure getting to know him throughout the week. As far as improvements: 1. Check-in was a nightmare. We were assured prior to checkin that our Marriott status would get us upgraded. Not the case at all. 2. Getting restaurant reservations for a group larger than 2-4 was impossible without finagling with staff. 3. The rooms leave something to be desired. Requesting a dehumidifier is almost required. Things are damaged, dented, scuffed, leaking and in general disrepair. They’re mostly fine but not 5-star. Daily room cleaning was hit or miss. 4. It’s nearly impossible to get a lounge chair near the main pool without getting up at 5am and running. The place is HUGE. Expect to walk. We made the most of it and had a great a family vacation. The staff at the resort makeup for most of the negatives. We loved Fuel for coffee, ice cream, the habachi restaurant, lunch outside everyday and breakfast at the buffet daily. Our kids loved the lazy river, pools and slides. Overall, we wouldn’t return, but had a good time. We’ll try somewhere new next vacation.

Planet Hollywood did not disappoint. Book through Expedia and you’ll be treated like royalty. Expedia customers are treated like star Class without added money. The adult scene was great. 4th of July party was momentous!

Bar Service: My bar experience overall was poor; a lot of liquors weren’t kept in stock, bartenders showing bias against men approaching the bar especially at the night club, cups were NOT clean (I watched a bartender run a used cup under water and use her bare hand to clean the rim and then reuse the cup), more times than not you were waiting in line for 10-15 mins for a drink. This goes for all the bars we approached inside, outside, lazy river, or the club. Room Service/Housekeeping: Water bottles in the room were NOT kept in stock, I would run into the water/beverage cart person and ask to grab several bottles of water since it would be pushing 2 days without having them restocked, and for a place where we can’t drink the water you would expect this would be kept up on.. we left a tip and a note at the beginning of our stay asking for water specifically to be restocked and the money was taken but no further action was taken by the employees. As the week went on, old towels were taken and new towels were far and few between, it seemed like only our bed was made and the floors didn’t appear to be kept up on. Poolside: Get pool chairs early!!! You won’t find one after 8am/9am, for being such a large resort you’d think they’d have more chairs for people but this is not the case. The pool deck is VERY slippery (just to add, it seems like all the concrete on this resort were always very slippery when wet), I almost fell a handful of times during the week so definitely a safety hazard for older folks who cannot catch their balance that well. This brings me to my last point of “mostly” inclusive. At this resort they advertise a trampoline park, a flow rider, an hookah bar and more. Expect to pay extra for these things, I know for a fact the flow rider is an extra $40 per person for the DAY. This really takes away from the point of being an all inclusive resort. For these reasons and some reasons I decided to leave out, I am giving this resort a ?????? out of 5. If I were to take another trip to Cancun, Mexico this resort would be at the bottom of my roster.

We went with a large group of friends and family. Our butlers Victor and Roy did a great job setting up dinner reservations and other things! Thanks so much to Victor and Roy for making this such a memorable trip!
