Comfortable bed great view, but Service was terrible

The bed was comfortable and the view was amazing overlooking the US Falls. We saw the fireworks at 10 PM and it was beautiful. Checking in and out took forever. There were a few service agents at the desk, but they didn’t even look up or acknowledge your presence. When they finally got to us, they weren’t overly helpful. We had been moved from the Oakes hotel and were told that they had a special parking rate so we parked where they told us to and found out the next day that it was $45!!! If they had told us that was the rate from the beginning, we would’ve said forget it and just parked across the street at the Fallsview Casino hotel for $20 self-park or $25 for valet.
Niagara Falls something to see

Must get a room with a view of the Falls which is spectacular. The hotel can be very busy so go on the off season if you can. The restaurants are good but a bit pricey. They have a nice pool and one for small kids.
Ouch!

Great view but very pricey for room and parking, needs some updating. Room construction above started at 7:45 am with pointing and drilling all day. Would not stay here again.
Great views and location! Our room was in great shape.

We stayed in the north tower room 4459 for 2 nights in early June, which seemed to be right before peak season. From our room, we could see both the American and Canadian falls. The casino somewhat blocked the view of the Canadian falls but not enough to make me feel like we didn't get a spectacular view. The location was great because it was in-between the falls activities and the downtown area (Clifton Hill). We parked in the casino lot, which was very reasonable cost wise and there was a walk way connecting the casino to the Hilton. We parked our car and didn't get it out until check-out so were only charged the rate posted on the sign as we entered the casino parking garage which was around twenty dollars. This is probably cheaper than peak season prices. The hotel rooms were very nice and clean. We spent most of our time on the Canadian side, bought the Niagara Falls Pass (mid-level package) and rode the hop on-and-off buses to the attractions. We spent 1 morning on the American side and visited Goat Island and bought the Cave of the Winds ticket. We didn't make a reservation for the boat ride to the falls. They run so frequently that it wasn't a problem getting a ticket. For breakfast, we walked to the Tim Horton's near the hotel each morning. Overall, this Hilton was a fantastic base camp for our exploration of Niagara Falls!
Decent choice if you are willing to pay for the view

Apart from a building obstructing your view right smack in the middle, you can see both the US and Canadian falls if you pick the US/Canada Fallsview room. It's worth it if you want to watch the fireworks and light show from the comfort of your room. That being said, depending on where your room is located, I thought my friends had a somewhat less stellar view of the Canadian Falls due to the position of her room, although we both paid for the same room type. The hotel has a blue line wego stop though you do have to walk a few steps from the pedestrian entrance, and you can't sit to wait, so you need the Transit app to tell you when the wego is coming. There are 2 covered walkways to the casino opposite which has a lot of shops and restaurants. Room was clean and well equipped, and maintenance was superb - fixed our thermostat and even got us a kettle which housekeeping couldn't. Housekeeping was prompt and done well. Lots of towels were provided which was extremely helpful. Unfortunately I couldn't give the full 5 points because the teams don't work with each other. Asked the reception at check-in when concierge opens and about laundry? No clue. Reception also had no idea or just didn't think of telling me that their outsourced laundry service doesn't exist over the weekend, and even gave me the laundry bag and told me to call housekeeping to collect it on the Saturday morning. If you call guest services because you weren't sure who to call, they'd just "oh that's housekeeping" and abruptly transfer you before you had a chance to think. Want a firmer pillow? No, your pillows are firm enough, we gave you one foam and one feather, so there's no difference. A deposit was also deducted from my card without warning me, which made me a bit panicky because I'd just been a victim of a phishing incident. They confirmed it was them at check-in, and kindly reversed the charges because I wanted to use a different card, but I would have appreciated some form of notification at booking, before I arrived, anything. They didn't reply my email either, although I eventually clarified in person upon check-in. Parking is expensive and when we arrived, we were instructed to find offsite parking. So even if you're willing to pay the 80CAD for parking, you might not get to do so I guess? However, compared to reviews of nearby hotels, this was a solid choice. It's difficult enough to get a clean place, a great view and acceptable service, because hotels in the area know they always have customers regardless of how badly they treat them. Hilton does okay especially if you're just staying for a short while.
