Plumbing issue and subpar customer service
Heather Y (Chicago, Illinois) on Aug 22, 2026
The location was amazing, and our two bedroom suite had an amazing view. We majorly splurged on this room for our one night in Niagara Falls with our 3 adults and 2 young kids. Unfortunately, we discovered at 10pm that our jetted tub plumbing was broken. The kids wanted to take a bath after the pool, but the water was scalding and when we tried to turn it off, the handle stopped working. The water kept pouring from the faucet. We called maintenance twice and finally at 11:20pm they arrived. They were unable to fix the problem and suggested we could get a new room, but our kids were finally asleep, and we all had to get up early. To stop the flow of water, the maintenance person opened a ceiling panel and taught my husband how to turn off the cold water to the bathroom, thus stopping the tub spigot. Unfortunately that also meant there was no toilet water. So my husband had to turn a lever in the ceiling every time we needed to flush the toilet. I talked to the front desk at check out and the offered me 10% off of the room. I suggested that was a low amount, and they upped it to 17.5%. This was a major let down for our single night splurge.
A disappointing stay

We were really looking forward to our stay, especially as we generally have great experiences with Hilton properties. Unfortunately, this stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, we entered through the hotel’s underground parking entrance, where three police cars were parked and a stolen vehicle was sitting at the main entrance. We then waited around 10 minutes just to park. When we finally went to check in, our room still wasn’t ready, so we left our bags with the bellhop and went out for the Niagara boat ride. When we returned, we checked in and were given a Fallsview room on the 31st floor. Unfortunately, the room smelled absolutely awful — extremely musty and strongly of dirty feet. On top of that, it was not the room we had booked. We had specifically booked a Canadian Fallsview Corner Two Queen room with a jacuzzi, but were given a US Fallsview Two Queen room without a jacuzzi. We went back down to the lobby to complain, and thankfully, we were eventually moved into the correct room on the same floor. The smell was slightly better, but it was still noticeable. While the view was excellent, the room itself was visibly dirty and felt like it desperately needed updating. Another issue was the bottled water. At $5 CAD per bottle, it is incredibly disappointing that water isn’t complimentary unless you have a high status within the hotel’s loyalty program. Just last week, we stayed at Hilton Toronto Downtown, where the water was complimentary, the room was clean, and the overall experience was excellent. The difference between the two properties was huge. The pool was relatively clean, but it smelled overwhelmingly of chlorine and was not the rooftop pool we had expected. The restaurant with the Falls view was also disappointing. It smelled strongly of grease, looked outdated, and was completely full when we tried to visit. Overall, the entire hotel feels like it desperately needs renovation. It seems as though most of the money has been spent making the lobby look impressive, while the rooms and other facilities have been neglected. The only real positive was the location and the Falls view. I usually love staying at Hilton properties, and we have had some fantastic experiences in the past, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
Amazing views

This is our third time visiting this hotel and it never disappoints. We love to watch the falls in their frozen beauty, and always stay on floor 31 as looking out is just magical. I have no complaints at all, the rooms are to a high standard and the staff are always happy to help.
Great hotel in Niagara Falls.

What a fun hotel. We had a view of Niagara Falls from our room! That was so cool. My kids loved it! We weren’t sure what to expect and were happy that the hotel was lovely and easy to get to all the touristy places nearby. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Great hotel.
10/10 looking to book again

Such a brilliant hotel, super convenient and close to everything you could possibly need. The rooms were gigantic with the most comfortable big double beds, the twin room we were in had two big beds and my word they were amazing! With a beautiful MASSIVE bathroom, which included a soaking bathtub and a separate shower! The hotel had two internal bridge walkways meaning you didn’t have to brave the cold to get a Starbucks/ihop (and other restaurants). There was a little shop down in the main area which had everything you could possibly need as well as a Starbucks down here! The conference area was massive so I can imagine if you needed to hold something of any size you were spoilt for choice on meeting rooms and areas to hold it. Rooms were immaculate as well as all the public areas even during the busy check in and out periods. Check in slow but efficient with every check in desk open and a fast lane for HH members to use. They even had entertainment on to keep the kiddies occupied while waiting. Drop off/pick up area was SOOO handy when we were leaving. Views were also top notch
