Average Hilton

cmcmcm1 (Hong Kong, China) on Feb 16, 2024

Really average hotel but location is very good. Room was adequate and not particularly clean with cushions hiding behind the sofa. Diamond was upgraded to a small room that they called a suite. Stayed only 2 nights so nothing too memorable at all.

Clean & comfortable Accommodations in Niagara

Meggyn T (Collingwood, Canada) on Feb 15, 2024

This is probably one of the nicer places to stay if you have to visit Niagara Falls. Everything was very clean, from the lobby to the rooms to the connected casino and convention centre. I was here on business and was given a two bedroom suite. The layout of these rooms is a bit odd, with one bedroom directly inside the front door, and the door to second bedroom also housing the bathroom with its peek-a-boo bathroom, and a small corridor with wet bar and mirrors. I don’t think there would be much privacy if sharing this type of room with someone else, but it worked fine for me! I only used the second bedroom closets to the window and enjoyed the view of the falls. The large bathtub and the electric fireplaces are a nice touch. You can tell the hotel is a little older, the rooms are just slightly dated but honestly very well kept and very clean. The only real negative was that only 3 of 6 elevators that serviced our tower were typically operational during our stay. One of them was completely out of order and blocked off during our whole visit, and two others seemed to say they were undergoing maintenance much of the time. With a large conference in-house and hundreds of people moving around the facilities at the same time, this certainly wasn’t well-timed, however I assume it was somewhat unavoidable. Overall, cannot complain. It was a generally pleasant stay and a nice hotel to be in if you must be in the Falls for whatever reason.

Good weekday break and casino

biztrav77 (Toronto, Canada) on Feb 15, 2024

Update Feb 2024. Stayed here for another one night break. This time the king jacuzzi room was larger with a sofa; could have used a coffee table! I didn't do any work this time but the desk which seemed adequate was in a corner. TV was a bit small for the room, but looked in better condition. Lots of outlets and even usb outlet in the clock. LOTs of towels (no robe, slipper). This room also had shower gel, etc. Im not sure if all this was because i booked a jacuzzi room as it was the ceapest, and last time i was upgraded from standard king. All the staff were great. This time the parking attendant explained the $35 parking procedure and that too was great (not sure if that comes with in and out privileges since the gate opened automatically to exit as i approached). So it was a great stay. Got a late checkout at 1pm but left by 11 to beat a blizzard. I didn't bother with the breakfast either, and will rather look at swapping that out with another reward option next time. Went with Brasa again for dinner which was better this time (probably because it was valentines dinner) but expensive; they did give an applebees coupon with $15 off but i didnt feel like walking - should have! Uber eats wasn't showing any good places either... on the casino side Shoeless Joe's would also have been a better choice for me - carnivore! Nov 2023: Stayed for one night early November midweek. Parking is way too expensive and unjustified. I believe i was told by the parking attendant parking would be only $35 till the next day, but i paid ~$80. You can park across the street and even at the casino for cheaper - since the parking is not directly connected to Hotel access (you have to go outside in any case). Room was upgraded to a high floor, fall view; but the room is showing its age. The TV is at least 10 years old and very limited local channel selection - though i was able to plug into the HDMI for my own media, thats something that is never an easy with chains. No robes in the Jacuzzi room (and no bath/body wash in the toiletries). The desk chair is old and not too comfortable for long work. The additional easy chair is missing an ottoman or something. My biggest issue is the Gold benefit of continental breakfast, which does not include a simple thing as coffee! Its just cheap and mean. I'd give the inhouse Brazilian steak house a pass for weekday dinner. Ihop was good for brunch, very good service.

Sweet views from the 49th floor

H6868EBmikeb on Feb 14, 2024

The Jacuzzi Tub is fit for a king and queen. We lucked out and got room 4959 which the top floor for us regular folk. The view was priceless. The lounge was hosting a talented one man acoustic artist and the drinks were on the high end. Funny story. The morning we were leaving we walked into the pool area and had the whole place to our self. Then security eventually showed up surprised and asked how we got in. The door was cracked open, a room key is not even used normally. But, anyhow he told us the pool didn’t open till 1 pm because they couldn’t staff a lifeguard for the morning shifts anymore, and kicked us out, politely. But I thought that really stole the mood because we were enjoying our last morning there. And to be fair I had to notify them of some maintenance issues with damaged light switches and loose vanity plumbing fixture, but it wasn’t a hindrance. Definitely would stay again and again.

Room ok, elevator and cost to park - a nightmare

Tammy R on Feb 11, 2024

We went on Feb. 9/24 in the later part of the evening. Overall the room was ok, a little outdated, with water stains on the ceiling, not the cleanest floors around the edges, and tile in the bathroom breaking apart by the shower. We got a room with two queen-sized beds with a US Fallsview. The bed was very comfortable. The room was a little hot that we were told we could not control. We met three other couples so there were eight of us and we had tickets to the 80's Concert at the OLG stage which is why we picked this hotel. When we arrived Friday evening, we were surprised at how much we had to pay for parking, 80.00 times two nights, Fri. and Sat. plus taxes, that is crazy. The worst part of our whole weekend was the issues with the elevators. Both Friday and Saturday they were slowly arriving up to our 18th floor to pick us up. The ultimate worst was Sunday morning. After waiting about 10 minutes, I ventured to walk down the 18 flights of stairs with my duffle bag and larger shopping bag. Meeting many other people in the same situation. My husband had to wait for an elevator since he had our larger cooler and extra large duffle bag. When I got to the bottom and waited for a bit, I found someone who worked at the hotel and complained about the elevator issue and my husband being stuck up on the 18th floor. She went to tell someone else about our situation and someone went up in the special service elevator to bring him and our friends down. Needless to say, I had some short but stern words about the whole elevator experience.
