This resort when booking i saw the star rating and kind of knew what to expect. bottom line is hotel is decent as far as cleanliness. Pool was okay even though just went in once since the beach was so nice, we all spent time at the beach. The drinks were so bad for alcohol. they only had local disgusting rum. No sign of Havana club or premium brands in the bars. they had closed the bars early even though it states open until 11pm. Food is terrible at all times. We chose to eat outside infront of the hotel where the club areas are they had a great lobster menu for $15usd per plate for 3 lobster tails. bottom line is don't go there for the food or drinks. otherwise overall was good experience

The first time we went to this Hotel was back in 2008 for 1 week. Then we found it wasn't long enough so we started 10 days . Well that wasn't long enough maybe 14 days Nope now 14 days twice a year. We have not missed a year yet going to Arenas Blancas except for when Covid shut it down we missed 1 year. We have seen many changes from the 24hr pool Bar, The speak easy underground Bar, The Disco Bar. We have seen many staff and Management come an go Too many to speak of. We will be there again this June and then again in November. Sure the Hotel is dated but it takes time and money to renovate. We are not picky people this Hotel is a 5 star for us because its the staff that make it a 5 star. Just enjoy your stay here . The Staff: Too many to mention and don't want to leave anyone out so I won't try and name the all. They are all incredible people from reception to pool bar Lobby bar Gardner's , Massage , Food workers and entertainment staff Please respect them all because respect goes a long way. Sure we could have gone to other hotels but then we would miss our friends and family that we have made here at Arenas Blancas. If you are a picky person and think you need better do not go to Cuba leave it for the ones that truly know what Cuba has to offer. 5 star is only a Number we have heard worse about some 5 star hotels this one here is all we need. See you all soon

We are leaving this beautiful place, the room are clean and confortable, the staff is super great, we arrive on April 26 at night check in was fast the girls at reception are great. I want to thank everyone at this resort for the wonderfully week we had, a special thank you to Alejandro Florat to book the room we wanted and for the excellent service. Please have an open mind went going to cuba, tes the food is repetitive but they do their best with what they have. Thank you Elizabeth and all the waiter at the bar, Alex and all the staff at the buffet. Anna for the help to keep our room till 4 pm. We will be back for sure next year. Nancy Cyr.

The hotel has an ideal location. The room was good, but the refrigerator did not work. I didn't like the attitude of the staff in the lobby bar. They don't pay attention when you want to get coffee. The staff at the pool bar are always friendly. Beautiful area and beach. Worth noting is the very amazing animation with good entertainment and such. Special thanks to the guys Roni, Cristian and Yadian. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Would come back again.

This was our first time to Cuba and unfortunately it will be our last. First the positive -- nice beach and weather! The a/c worked in our room. However, the room constantly smelled of mildew and along with that made the room damp the entire time. Our clothing and towels were always damp. Speaking of towels - we were provided 1 big white one to use for both the shower and the beach. Disgusting. The shower did have hot water but the tub and glass door and shower head in major need of cleaning / replacement. The food was beyond disgusting and minimal and they only had beer and whisky. Lastly, I purchased a bottle of sunscreen and body lotion from the little store beside the main lobby and was charged $46 CDN. Wasn't even worth $10.
