I read all these great reviews but must be for different resort. I have stayed in over 20 resorts in cuba so I know standards. I could not chew the beef, my room had zero water pressure for warm water. It was not cheap compared to others. I was highly disappointed. Took almost 2 hours to check in… insane. Only plus is it is near club scene but there are many Airbnb for less money that are 4 star near by. Never again!

I am very happy for this time am come back forever, the guys here are very amazing the service is nice ,I wold like say then hotel is very special for me and good place with the best location and the entertainment team they are the best ?? super in all Varadero City

Enjoyed my week at Starfish . This is the first time I have gone to Cuba in June . The heat was intense and the mosquitos were well fed after my vacation. My ocean view room was adequate, nothing fancy but a super comfortable bed , clean sheets and pillows. My room was kept spotless by Yadirka and she was very friendly and ensured I had what I needed. The pool sparkled in the sun and the lounges were in good shape. The Pool guy was helpful in finding me a lounge in the shade and gave a friendly smile every time he went by. The staff at the main bar were very helpful and friendly and made my stay enjoyable. The beach was beautiful and very clean. The buffet was better than most in Cuba, but then you don’t go to Cuba for fine dinning. It did become repetitive after a few days. There were eggs daily and the bread and sweet options were excellent. Bravo to the baker. The only item that did not show all week was butter. The snack bar only provided ham and cheese sandwiches and in order to fill my wish for a burger and fries I crossed the road to Calle 62. Because the resort is right in the centre of Varadero , you can always go to other local restaurants. It was a great vacation. Thank you to all the staff.

I would like to thank all the staff at this resort for making our stay excellent. Thank you for changing my room to a quite section. I would like to give a big thanks to all the wonderful staff at the lobby bar and especially to Ytain for always taking care of us. His smile and friendliness meant alot to us. The food was good but the same everyday. Which was ok cause we had a variety of different foods being offered. Wish more fish like shrimp, muscles and lobster would be served. Also a few more drinks in the menu woukd help. I love the roasted pork they do on the weekends. The only downfall is they need to have a towel exchange for your beach towels, I used the same towel for 7 days. Also please the coffee needs to be better. Overall I had a great experience and will be back soon.

Cant believe how a cuban girl named glenda has been able to walk in 2 times off the street right into tesort eat at buffet because she had a similar bracrlet from a 2 star resort and security and front desk were told and they allow this us canadians are paying good money .
