I have not been to the Quatro since October but was planning on going back in March. The people who work here are nothing but wonderful and need our support now more than ever. There are so many ways to help either through donations or by signing petitions, or writing to the government of Canada. We all want to go back to our favourite resorts. The Quatro is amazing and so are the people who work there.

I chose this resort primarily for its location and based on other guests’ reviews, which suggested it would meet my needs while staying within my budget. As a first-time solo traveller to Cuba, I really appreciated that it was located right downtown. My standard room was clean, had reliable hot water, and featured a large, very comfortable bed. The only downside was that my room directly faced the downtown nightlife, and it was quite loud until around 3 a.m., which did impact my sleep quality. That said, this was the only issue I experienced during my stay. It’s just something to keep in mind if you’re not planning to be out late or if you’re sensitive to noise (earplugs would definitely help!). The staff were all lovely and kind. There were plenty of activities at the resort, as well as a pool for lounging and swimming. The pool was a bit cold, but that didn’t bother me. The resort is also right on the beach, and Varadero Beach is truly one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been to. The food was fine, with plenty of options available (keeping in mind I didn't choose Cuba based on food but I am not a picky eater so knew I would find things to eat). Being so close to downtown made it easy to try local restaurants for a change of scenery. Overall, I was very happy with my experience at this resort. It was sad leaving Cuba at this time, and I will be keeping the Cuban people in my thoughts as they navigate the current challenges they are facing.

My honest rating of this resort would be a 2.5. I have been to Cuba many times and to many different resorts. This one was the worst. I know to go to Cuba with an open mind and that you don’t go to Cuba for the food. I come to Cuba for the beach and friendly people. The beach was great and the resort had friendly staff, no problem there. Unfortunately the weather was not great and extremely cold at night. The resort is not equipped with extra blankets to keep guests comfortable during a cold snap. I don’t blame the resort for the weather but they should be prepared to give guests an extra blanket when it’s colder than usual at night. None of the plugs in our room worked properly. You had to wiggle the plug till it started working and hope that your phone would charge or the light would stay on. It didn’t, as the slightest movement would stop it. They also don’t have enough towels as we didn’t get towels in our room till the second day. Getting water in the room was hit and miss, I consider this a basic requirement for a room at a resort. Had to run around asking for it or get our bottle refilled at the bar each day. The rooms were suppose to have hair dryers and while we had one our friends did not and were told they don’t have any more. Because the resort was full. The food was probably the worst food I’ve had at a Cuban resort. The buffet food in the bins is stone cold even when we went in right at opening time.We stuck to having something grilled fresh so it would be hot, but was very bland, no flavour at all. And the same thing every day. I know that the resort can do better as we ate outside the resort a couple of times and had excellent, flavourful, hot meals. If the restaurants in the area can serve good food then the resort should be able to do it too. The resort owners are not supplying the cooks and staff what they need to properly serve guests. Owners, put a bit of money into this resort or your returning guests will stop coming. I know that I would not recommend it nor will I return to it. We were a group of 4 and did have a good time as we know a vacation is what you make it. Beware, this resort was not as described on the Sunwing website.

I am happy for this time I will come back here always the Cuban people they are nice the service here is wonder and the entertainment staff are amazing guys

This my first time here and I can to say this hôtes is amazing, the food is good like the drinks, the beach is the most beaten. The service is very nice and at night always a show for to enjoy
