When we arrived, we were given the wrong room—there are three of us, but the room only had one bed. We asked to be moved to the correct room, but were told the hotel was fully booked, so we had to make do with one bed and a couch. Unfortunately, we also noticed cockroaches in the bathroom, which was disappointing. That said, the location is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Being so close to Coconut Mall was extremely convenient and made getting around easy.

An honest slice of Kauai life. A pleasant unpretentious facility which makes one feel at home. Within walking distance to many local eateries.

Beautiful grounds, very relaxing. Close to stores, ABC store and many restaurants Loved the balcony to listen to the birds and feel the cool ocean breeze and read. the pool and jacuzzi area was too small for the amount of people.. Shower drain was plugged, tub stained, old shower head, needs updating. They have a tv but not streaming or cable, you have to get 1 dvd at a time in the lobby. Only had 1 outlet to charge electronics. No elevator. Overall a great hotel.

This was our second stay at the Aston Islander on the Beach. We returned after many years and loved it as much as our first trip. The room was spacious and the air-conditioning was very good, excellent temperature! We enjoyed the convenience of the local restaurants and market within walking distance. The beach path was great for our morning walk.
