Nice sport

f0xm1 on May 10, 2024

While it's not the most modern or up to date, it's a great location with plenty of restaurants/shops/activities within walking distance. It was also a great place to explore the island as it was in-between both Poipu and Princeville. The ocean front rooms are perfect for easy access to the beach and listening to the waves. The staff was great and very helpful.

The Perfect Oceanfront Honeymoon Resort!

Justinfague (Providence, Utah) on May 06, 2024

Aston Islander on the Beach was simply wonderful. This resort knows how to provide quality service and spectacular comfort!! The bamboo furnishings are just marvelous and truly made us feel like we were on a beach on a remote island - which we were! It was absolutely charming to be there as newlyweds. The oceanfront room is absolutely wonderful. We walked down the pathway to the left and right (north and south) or the Islander and not many other resorts on that strip have true oceanfront condos/hotel rooms. Islander has something like 36 rooms that are all oceanfront, and with the sunrise coming up to our east, it was the perfect way to start off most of our mornings. We kept the sliding door open every single night so we could hear the waves crashing as we fell asleep and woke up in the morning. It’s well worth the extra money, in my opinion! Another really cute perk was the DVD Now rental they had - it felt like we were transported back in time to a simpler age and my wife and I were giddy at choosing new movies to watch at night. We only went to the Sandbar (the on-site bar) once during our stay since we’re not huge drinkers and the Mai Tai’s, Pina Colada, and the Lava Flow were all excellent. The bartender was an older gentlemen with longer, gray-white hair and well-tanned. He was a gentleman and very nice to all of his patrons!! We also used the laundry facilities and they were clean and nice. The dryers worked very well and we didn’t have to do more than one dry cycle! All of the shops in the Coconut Marketplace are wonderful and it’s all so close to the Islander. My wife and I shopped there and ate at a number of them! The only thing we really didn’t take advantage of was the pool and hot tub, but we loved the beach right next to the hotel. The fact that they had pool chairs on the sand was just wonderful - and, might I add, the only other resort along that strip that had that luxury. This place is just fantastic! I would definitely stay here again and am planning to in the future!

Great location and Super Market Access!!!!

mattyroc9999 (Springfield, Massachusetts) on May 01, 2024

Great location. Beautiful outside. Beach 50 ft or closer. Tiki bar at pool opens at 3pm. Pool and Jacuzzi are very nice. Room was great value and clean. The bonus for me was there is a super market in very short walking distance with EVERYTHING you ever need. Along the lines of a Whole Foods if better. With lots of fresh pre made foods. Dinner, lunch and breakfast freshly made. Fresh fruits, coffee drinks, you name it. They got it. No need for a restaurant at ALL if budgeting. And their prices aren't super high. The Aston is on the main road to just about anywhere on the island. When I come back to Kauai. The Aston with be a hard YES!!! Mattyroc 04/25/2024

Great Location!

Bonnie B on Apr 22, 2024

Great location. Properties rooms were very dated and not very clean. A/C and TV in our room were hard to operate and quit working. Had to spend hours packing everything up and move to another room. We were told someone would help with our luggage but didn’t show up. No elevator and on third floor. 2nd room was beautiful and upgraded. They said it was a privately owned unit. The grounds were well kept and beautiful! Pool area was super nice and had a tiki bar open in afternoon and evening. Nice bartenders.
