I requested a room walking distance to the beach. However, this beach your not able to swim in it and too rocky. So that was a big bummer.

Beautiful grounds. Ocean is steps away. Coconut Marketplace directly behind the hotel was handy for eating and shopping. Laundry was convenient and the machines worked well. Note that the key card to your room will not open the laundry, key to laundry is at the front desk. Free parking is a great bonus, we were always able to find a space. I will recommend Aston Islander on the Beach for anyone visiting Kauai.

Ladies at the front desk were very accommodating. We only had a short stay here then went on to the a hotel to the South. I wish we could of stayed longer.

We loved staying here. It was perfect for our family. The pool and the beach were amazing. The room was just perfect and even came stocked with dishes so we could eat in the room if needed.

It's an outdated property. I would say it's not a place to stay with your family for a vacation. We arrived early around 12, and got to know 3 PM is check-in (quite strange). They did not allow me for early check-in. That's okay. I told the front staff please do call me as soon as ready until then we will be around here for shopping and etc., But she never called me even after 3 PM. Secondly, as soon as we enter room it was all water on the floor. We called the reception, lady has come with towels, cleaned the floor and gave extra towels to use it if the fridge is leaking again (Seriously !!) . Opened micro oven, very strong garlic smell. Patio tables/chairs are dirty, the curtains are soaked in dirt and all the furniture & bed are ancient. The table light was not working. I’m certain you can see all that if you happen to stay here. I don’t think they have any attitude to fix all these! Coming from an excellent hotel stay in Waikiki, it's quite a shock for us after experiencing all these. And just one swimming pool and very small one. Too many people at pool can't swim or even move. My daughter even don’t want to step in by looking at the atmosphere. We left pool in few mins. We lowered our expectation and decided to avoid being in room and just come late to sleep. They charged me extra $69 for resort fee. Man it was stupid mistake I made to choose this place and ruined my family experience and expectations. Shopping and dinning options are nearby, that's only plus!
