My husband and I are here to celebrate our 45th anniversary! We’ve only been here 3 days and we love it! We’ve done the Mexican a la carte, which we loved and the Italian a la carte, which we liked less. Food was served promptly and hot. Buffet is amazing! So much selection! No problem finding chairs. Everyone is very friendly! Spa is great, have gone twice, Donette is wonderful! Room is lovely, big. Balconys are great! No mosquitoes (had to mention even though the resort has nothing to do with it), which is super! We loved the fact that we can go to as many a la cartes as we want and we can book on their App. We’ve had no hassling for timeshares or for buying expensive wine at the restaurant. I’ve tried writing everything done. At the end of the week, I might have more to write. I honestly can’t understand the bad reviews.
Not a 5 stars anymore

We have been there for a week in January, it was our 4th time there last time in 2018. It is not anymore what it was before. We understand the there as been a hurricane last October and they have repairs to do, there is a lot of workers and noise on the site. But globally the restaurants are not as good as they were, especially the Italian. And worst of all they harassed us all week long to give us a gift to assist at a sales pitch on the Palladium Travelers Club , and in the restaurants they keep trying to sell you expensive wine bottles. We have been at other places were they try to sell you things and it's the kind of places we do not return. So it was our last time there.
A disappointed family.

I had continually been following the very good reviews on the members site and, following the hurricane, felt my family and self should support Jamaica, expecting friendly and helpful staff and good service. What a disappointment. On check in, we were told we had been upgraded from a suite at Lady Hamilton to a junior suite with splash pool at the Jamaican side. Not really correct, but as our granddaughter was sharing our room, thought she would enjoy the pool and sleeping in the same room. On our arrival to the accommodation, we noticed that there were only two towels, the fridge was empty, not enough coat hangers, the sofa bed was not made up and on entering the patio, realised there were no cushions on the two outside chairs and no love seat, which our neighbours had. I spoke with 5 different members of staff, wasting a full afternoon, trying to get what was needed. Overall, at the three buffets, the food was always cold, unless you asked for something to be cooked, the chefs being quite abrupt and rude at times. The whole resort seemed to be under-staffed and we only ever had two warm meals out of 9 nights at the al-a-carte restaurants, with waiting times for the arrival of food never less than an hour. The all inclusive wine comprised of one white Chardonnay and two red, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, anything else was at an extra charge, with only soft drinks and lager in the room fridges. Definitely not a 5* resort.
Go! You won't regret it!

Beautiful hotel. Great food. Friendly staff. Loved Sunset Cove Beach. Lovely rooms. We went not knowing what to expect after the Hurricane. They had all the guests on the Palladium side instead of Lady Hamilton. We never had a problem finding a beach or pool lounger or making a reservation at a specialty restaurant. They were all great. I would go back anytime soon. It was a great family vacation. My grandson loved the kids pool. Christmas was lots of fun with Santa arriving and a big brass band bringing him in. He arrived in a convertible! I would definitely book the Lady Hamilton side and just hang out at Sunset Cove. Nice swimming and snorkeling there. Lunch options at Poseidon or the jerk hut. Don't hesitate to book and ignore the whiner reviews! The "concierge" people when you wait to check in are wanting to sell timeshare or Palladium Club or something. I would have preferred if this was presented honestly when they approached me. I thought it was part of the check in and then had to dodge their phone calls. They had on teal bows. ,If I go back I will tell them I am not interested from the get go.
