The facility is old but that would be fine except the front desk staff, especially 777, who was terrible.

The front desk staff are, what's a euphemism for nast?, I'm having a hard time finding the nicer words but that's the case. The remainder of the staff were nice. The facility is ancient.

Always beautiful! The pools, the scenery, the golf courses and the units. Beautiful views and lush foliage! Units are always clean beautiful and well kept. Beautiful views!

Nice Resort, But……..

We have been vacationing here for years, it’s always been a great experience. This past trip we were able to get the exact room we requested, however, they recently remodeled about half of the rooms at this resort. The remodel in our opinion was a Downgrade, the kitchen used to have a wrap around counter, it was very convenient, everything was within reach when preparing and cooking, now it’s one long cheap looking counter, you have to walk several steps just to get to the things you need, before it was simply turn around. The nice dining room table was replaced with a high table, the stools did not slide on the wood floors, very uncomfortable to get in and out from the table. The new furniture is very uncomfortable, we couldn’t even sit on the couch. They remodeled the large bathroom, NO MORE LARGE SOAKING TUB, this was one of the things my girlfriend looked forward to the most. There is just a large shower in its place, no shelves to hold anything while in the shower, they do have their own toiletries in the shower, but not what most people want. There are dual shower heads, one is handheld, absolutely no pressure or volume, good luck getting a nice shower. They replaced the nice washer/ dryer with the all in one stacked unit, very small and difficult to see inside the washer, should have kept what they had before. They installed motion sensor lights in the bathrooms, they come on whenever you enter, Not good when you get up in the middle of the night, blaring lights that wake you up, a simple nightlight would be nice. There are a couple nice things, the beds are comfortable, nice lighted mirrors in the bathrooms. The pools and all the outdoor facilities are very nice, I wish they would have left the rooms alone and simply updated the furniture with something comfortable. We would definitely recommend this resort, I hope they put things back the way they were. Greg & Bella. Fontana, CA

We have been owners for over 21 years. We found the Cuckwalla pool area depressing at times and overwhelming at other times. There is no music at the pool. Everyone said the speakers were broken and had been fo awhile. I would think that all the maintenance fees they collect every year they could easily repair the speakers. Because there was no music at the pool numerous people brought their own boom boxes out. All different types of music all over. Some appropriate for kids, others not so much. There were people eating their food along the pool while they were in the water. Food crumbs etc hitting the water. Not very sanitary and the delivery servers said nothing. The positive is how respectful and efficient the servers are at the Chukwalla bar. This group of men, ( maybe women also but only men while we’re there) kept the bar clean, very efficient in their drink service and food service. A great group. Marriott needs to have better management and maintenance in the pool area.
