Fantastic holiday, we’d return
K95X (Letchworth Garden City, United Kingdom) on Nov 30, 2025
Recently got back from a wonderful 11 night stay at the Grand Sirenis and had a fantastic time. Room We had the standard junior suite and had no issues at all. It was very spacious, air con worked perfectly and was easy to adjust, lovely whirlpool bath and rainfall shower. The bed was extremely comfortable and huge! The room was cleaned to an excellent standard every day. Our mini bar was full to the brim when we arrived but often wasn’t re stocked, or there was only one additional drink added even when we drank 3 cans, but this wasn’t an issue for us and I have no doubt had we of asked for more drinks, they would’ve sorted this for us. Food and drink Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, with lots of options to cater to all. Huge space with lots of seating, never had an issue finding somewhere even at peak times. Lots of à la carte options for the evenings, we were lucky enough to have been fitted in to all restaurants we wanted and generally the food quality was very good. Top 3 we’d highly recommend are the Lima (Peruvian), the Teppanyaki and Carnal which was a fun experience. Make sure to book in with your concierge on your first morning as peak time slots go quick. We only ate lunch at the self service pool bar which was hit and miss, sometimes the food wasn’t hot but depends when you grab it and how recently it was put out. We really loved the t’ostada coffee shop for ice cream, cakes and coffees, and also the churros from the stand near Carnal. Drinks were consistently nice no matter where you got them from or what you ordered, frozen cocktails were our go to! Waiter service around the pool was a bonus. Service and staff Service was exceptional, a huge thank you to Mailine/Marlene from guest services who supported us during our stay and helped make our holiday such a memorable one. We stayed in the Bacabs building and the concierges we spoke to in block 10 were always so friendly, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much to ask and they were always happy to help. Waiters and staff in all À la cartes were really fantastic, and a shout out to chef Diego who cooked our meal at the Teppanyaki which was a real highlight for us. Generally though all staff we met were great and clearly work really hard, from bell boys to the entertainment team to reception staff. It was my birthday whilst we were here and our room was decorated with all sorts of balloons, banners and towel animals which really made my day feel special. Activities/entertainment We mostly sat by the Aura pool during our stay as it was closest to our room and there was never any issue getting a sun bed even when we came down at 11-12ish. The other pools looked great with loads of sun beds. There were a few activities on each day, we didn’t get involved too much but it’s there if you want to join in and equally no pressure if you don’t. Things like water volley ball, quizzes and basket ball. The evening entertainment was good but wasn’t always to our taste, we preferred some nights to others and the shows are on for around 45 minutes. There are plenty of bars around the resort to spend your evenings though with some live music going on in some etc. We really enjoyed the white party on a Saturday night down at the beach. Beach/Location The beach is perfect for watching the sun rise, there’s a section to the left hand side of the resort where the water is crystal clear and you can see lots of fish, it’s also quite shallow quite far out. The sea was very calm and warm most of the time we were there. We didn’t venture out of the resort further than the Oxxo (other than on our excursions) which was handy to have on site, so can’t say too much on the location. The hotel complex has everything you need so there’s no real need to leave the resort. All in all we had a fantastic time at this hotel and we would definitely come back, we also really loved all the wildlife that is around from the spider monkeys to coaties. We could’ve watched the monkeys all day! Thank you to everyone who made our trip a special one.
