Great location and monorail access, but disappointing staff attitude and poor communication
Fernanda A on Jan 04, 2026
The LINQ Hotel has an excellent location right on the Strip, which is honestly its biggest advantage. Everything is close by, and the lower areas of the hotel feel relatively safe and well-lit, which is a big plus for walking around. One thing I really loved — and truly appreciated — is the direct access to the monorail. It’s extremely efficient, very accessible, and honestly one of the best features of the hotel. It makes getting around Las Vegas so much easier, and it’s a huge plus. That said, many of the stairways leading to the monorail were not working during our stay, which is not okay and should be fixed, especially considering how important that access is. There are also some safety-related issues that could be improved. One major concern is the lack of security in the elevators — there’s no real control of access, and you’re not always required to use your room key, which doesn’t feel ideal. Unfortunately, the staff experience was very disappointing. The front desk agent who checked us in (I don’t remember her name) was extremely rude and unhelpful from the start. She insisted, in a very aggressive manner, that the credit card used had to have a name on it. We explained that in our country, some cards simply don’t have the name printed, and asked what alternatives were available. Instead of explaining options calmly, she repeatedly said “it’s not possible” and implied that we were being unreasonable, even saying that “obviously” they’ve seen cards with names — which completely missed the point. Her attitude was terrible and unnecessarily confrontational. Communication overall was very unclear. During check-in, we were never asked whether we wanted daily housekeeping, which later caused issues. Even after calling to request room service, our room was not cleaned on the second-to-last day. It honestly felt passive-aggressive, as if the initial bad check-in experience carried over into the rest of our stay. In general, while the hotel itself is not bad and the location and monorail access are great, the attitude of much of the staff made the experience uncomfortable. It often felt like you had to be on edge, expecting to be treated poorly or dismissed. With better customer service, clearer communication, and proper maintenance of key access areas, this hotel could be much better.
If you just want a room to get ready in..

This is a budget hotel so if you want the room to just get ready in and no sleep then this will be okay for your trip. We have been to vegas a few times and will come back but we will not be staying here again. The staff were rude, we had two rooms and we were on a floor that backed onto the rear taxi / uber area so it was loud all the time. One of our shower rooms had someone’s hair init!! The radiator/ air con box was full of dust and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in years. Positive note The hotel is in a good central location.
The Linq great experience.

Arrived at 8pm and check in was easy and fast. We were upgraded without even asking which was great.the room was large and had a seating area as well as a the bedroom area however was really dark and had no view at all which was disappointing. Also housekeeping never cleaned our room even though we were asked at check in if we wanted it and had said yes. The hotel its self was busy and really lively which was fun and the casino floor was always busy. The rodeo was in town so lots of cowboy and cowgirl. The area is very central and easy access to the strip and also the monorail which makes this hotel a great choice. Definitely would stay again if the price was right but would ask for a better room view this time .
the good/bad, honest opinion from Dec 2025

Stayed week of Christmas Dec 2025. District 3 rooms with family/teens Pros-Had a mini fridge we used to store food, price was cheap ($25 a night during black fri and early booking sale-although we then had to pay $50 a night for resort fee when we didn't use any amenities), central location. matt franco plays here, my kids loved this show the most. tickets were cheapest at the box office, it was about $5 cheaper than ticket master/tix booth, and no extra discount on day of. check out super easy at kiosk. Cons-smoky casino (at least I know my teens don't smoke as every time they entered the hotel, they covered their nose), not one christmas decoration and it was christmas eve. no security in elevators, we woke in am to find someone screaming, swearing and yelling in hallway, i opened the door to hear a "F you" loudly, i quickly shut the door and called security-no idea who it was-drunken guest or homeless? who knows as anyone can go up the elevator-there's no tapping of key required to go to your floor-this week anyway. only 2 devices allowed per hotel room to connect to internet. check in-they tried to gear me to kiosk but i wanted a person, and did get one at my insistence-paid $25 for early check in at around 1pm vis $50 they charged on app. be prepared to pay $9 for a muffin in the hotel store, and $10 a day if you want a coffee machine in ur room. bathrooms are barn door only! If you can afford it, I would pay an bit extra to stay at paris if you still want a budget, centrally located hotel with a bit more character and non barn door leading to bathroom, and if you want more than a dorm style hotel. but for under $100 usd a night, it was ok. 4/5.
WORST ROOM EVER 9026 - LIVE MUSIC UNTIL 4AM!
Trisha C on Dec 31, 2025
Just stayed at the Linq for my 50th birthday with my husband for 4 nights in a Luxury King room, we paid $50 extra to check in early, the agent put us in room 9026 in District 1, WORST ROOM EVER, we were right above the live music every single night until 2am to 4am with the LOUDEST MUSIC EVER like it was playing in our room. It was absolutely ridiculous. We have stayed many of times in this hotel and we will NEVER be stay again. For this agent to put us in this room, KNOWING damn well about the music each night so late into the night, is absurd. I had earplugs in each night and it didn't help one bit. We asked for extra blankets one night and they never delivered them. Asked to be moved, said sold out. Calling BS. They could have moved us or never put us in that room along that side of the hotel. Do better LINQ, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Do not stay in this room, EVER if you want to actually sleep. We paid over $700 for the worst experience.
