overall ok food decent breakfast was best Best Gym in a resort in Jamaica room service $15 service fee which is fine but limited options property at best ok but with a lot of issues pool was too cold many sand flies not enough electrical plugs free transport is only free if you do it online exactly as required, i guess i didnt so i paid $60 one way and $120 another way for two people staff was nice in general lot of difficulties in efficiency and keeping promises, we were promised a bottle of wine after having room changed twice on check in due to plumbing issues...Never got the wine!? not worth the cost and Moreso the distance from MBJ IMHO, other options for similar cost
Lovely environment, workers and general experience

Just got back from my vacation and I want to say hands down the best experience! They just opened up February 1st after the hurricane so staff is still adjusting to certain things such as communication (front desk) and (guest services). They were still very attentive and always made sure to stay on top of catering. The beach is beautiful and there is always a beach clean up crew in the mornings which allows there to be a clean environment at all times. Rooms are very pretty, we got the deluxe and everything worked well. Food was AMAZING (A must try) (Mexican and steakhouse) those were my top two. The jerk chicken from the sports bar with the chicken and beef patties were our go to for late snacks. Also if u like shisha/hookah they have ($25 per coal) they provide larger coals and usually lasts around 30/45 minutes. Donika was super attentive and made sure we had a comfortable seating area, Some other names I want to mention that made my trip 10x better are Riley (works with entertainment), he’s amazing at his job and his energy brings something different to the resort from the beginning to the end of my stay (beating the unbeatable at connect four ??). Glenroy (beach safety) is an amazing asset to the resort, making sure everyone is safe on the beach and checking in to make sure we’re okay! Me and my friend had a great time playing volleyball and usually I don’t participate in the resort sports but I’m glad I did!! Kuwayne and Damaine made it super fun and were our biggest hype people.
Not a 5* resort

We recently stayed at Princess Senses The Mangrove and unfortunately our experience did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort. Upon arrival, we were checked into room 1101, the first room on the block. Immediately, we found that the toilet was blocked/clogged. Maintenance came and fixed it, however it continued to leak multiple times whenever we flushed. We chose not to complain further at the time as we didn’t want any hassle. On our second night, after returning from dinner, we found two cockroaches in the WC that appeared to be coming through holes in the wall. At that point, we reported the issue and were moved in the middle of the night to room 3102. Thankfully, 3102 was much better and we had no further room-related issues after the move. To note though, the finishing of the property is not on par with other high-calibre resorts - for example, we even noticed a paint pot left visible on the ceiling of our swim-out space. In terms of service, we felt that many staff members lacked the level of customer service you would expect from a 5-star resort. A simple smile or warm interaction often felt missing, particularly among some of the restaurant waiters and waitresses. At times, it felt as though guests were inconveniencing them. That said, most bartenders were pleasant (Timoy and Christopher were great), although they often seemed overwhelmed — which made the resort feel understaffed in several areas. Guest services were also very friendly and helpful and took on board our complaints. Food-wise, breakfast was perfectly fine. However, lunch was limited to a buffet that lacked variety and became quite repetitive throughout our stay. The restaurants for dinner were average overall. We found the chefs were not particularly accommodating when it came to vegetarian options - the only restaurants that offered decent vegetarian choices were the Italian and Mexican. We also booked a tour with Grand Caribe through the resort. Unfortunately, the tour operator had to change the date due to bad weather, and attempted multiple times to contact us via the hotel. The hotel was extremely unhelpful in accepting their call, let alone relaying the message, which meant we only discovered on the day of the tour that it had been cancelled, and could have been rescheduled. This was very disappointing and avoidable, as we could have made other plans for the day. The highlight of our trip was absolutely the beach. It is stunning and very well maintained. Even after a rainy day when seaweed washed up, we could clearly see the beach maintenance crew working hard, and it was spotless again very quickly. This was by far the standout feature of the resort. The entertainment offering was good, with genuinely talented performers. However, the show space felt too small for the size of the resort and often became crowded. After a week, the venue also developed an unpleasant smell. Overall, it feels like the resort is trying to present itself as a 5-star property while operating on a 3-star budget. While there were some positives, particularly the beach and entertainment, the overall experience did not justify the 5-star standard it promotes.
????? 10/10 Luxury, Vibes & Unforgettable Service - Princess Senses Jamaica
larna l (Macclesfield, United Kingdom) on Feb 27, 2026
We stayed at Princess Senses Jamaica from 11th February for two weeks and honestly, it was a 10/10 luxury experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with drinks and a smooth, effortless check-in, which immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful - modern, clean, and finished to a really high standard throughout. Rooms & Cleanliness We stayed in a standard deluxe ocean view suite, and the views were stunning. Housekeeping was faultless - everything was consistently clean, fresh, and maintained to a really high standard every single day. Food & Drinks There is a great range of restaurants across the resort, all included, and the quality was excellent. A special shout-out to Robert’s Flame, which was a standout for us. The drinks offering is amazing - great cocktails, premium options, and a really good all-inclusive selection. Pools, Beach & Facilities The adults side is perfect - multiple pools, plenty of loungers and cabanas so you never feel like you’re fighting for space. We also loved that non-motorised water sports are included, which added another layer to the experience. The spa was a real highlight - the plunge pools and infinity pool area were incredible and felt like a proper luxury escape within the resort. Entertainment, Club & Atmosphere The entertainment team absolutely made the trip. Huge shout-out to Keke, Tyrese and Donald who brought the energy every day and made everything so fun, welcoming and memorable. There is also an onsite club with a terrace and pool, which is perfect for evening drinks, music and a more lively atmosphere while still keeping that luxury feel. The overall vibe across the resort is the perfect balance of lively, luxury and relaxed. There are also great events and sunset dinners available to book for special occasions which make the stay feel extra special. Extra Touches • The resort is large but 24-hour carts make getting around really easy • A 24-hour coffee shop onsite (a dream for early mornings or late nights) • An onsite cannabis dispensary - Jacana, with a great selection and really good service • The only minor thing to note is the TVs aren’t smart TVs, so it’s cable only - but honestly, we barely used it Overall This was a luxury trip in every sense. Everything from the service, facilities, food and entertainment was done to a really high standard. We stayed onsite the entire time because there was so much to do at the resort itself, and we genuinely cannot wait to return. Highly recommend to couples looking for a luxury, all-inclusive experience with great vibes and even better service.
