NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Charlene C on Jan 06, 2026

Canadians beware ! My family of 8 were threatened, harassed and yelled at by Spanish people for not speaking Spanish and then making a scene about my family taking their chairs?! It was unbelievable and horrendous and my mother of 65 left crying based on the harassment we endured. They were extremely prejudice to Canadian and American people. I have never felt this type of hate. They also stole my mother’s clothing from our chairs. Security moved us and told us they had problems with them and are known to cause problems….. ? Please also note that 3 out of the 8 people got food poisoning. We booked 2 swank swim ups and only got 1. Staff indicated they had the room available but could not provide it ?? Booked 9 months ago. This was a family vacation with 8 people….. we were in 2 our other family in 9 … not even close. Prestige/Paramount/Karisma made us take 2 hrs of our time and hotel positioned it as it was for compensation to provide us with breakfast with characters for not receiving the rooms we requested and then tried to hard sell us on glorified time shares. So we got nothing for their mistake. Our new room was not well maintained and had burn holes, mold and parts of our ceiling fell off in shower and cans of pop came out of the ceiling ?? See video Room service food … just don’t bother. It’s not appetizing… Good . Buffet had good options. Restaurants are also good. Drink options for kids and adults are good. Village area is really nice but everything was overpriced, and after a while you feel taken advantage of. Kids braids 120 USD … Sponge bob stuffy $60 USD… So overall… great for kids. This is not a 5 star hotel. I would give them 1.5

Great family trip with an awesome waterpark, friendly staff, and a few fixable issues

sameerc476 on Jan 03, 2026

We stayed at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana with our family and overall we had a great time. This resort does a lot right, especially for families with kids, and you can tell they work hard to keep things running and the property looking good. Highlights: The waterpark was a major highlight for both adults and kids. There’s plenty to do and it kept everyone happy. The resort is also very well maintained and it truly caters to both adults and children, which can be hard to balance. The staff deserve a special mention. Everyone we interacted with (concierge, restaurant teams, Sweetery, and staff throughout the resort) was friendly and welcoming. People consistently said hello as we walked by, which sounds small but really added to the experience. We also appreciated how well they respected dietary restrictions. The buffet had lots of solid options, and room service was super fast. Opportunities to improve: The biggest downside was the check in and check out process. It felt chaotic and took a long time. With how family focused the resort is, smoothing this out would make a big difference. Also, the music at the kids waterpark was not appropriate for a children’s area, and we heard a few tracks with curse words. I would have preferred to share this directly with management, but I tried emailing previously and never received a response, so I’m sharing it here in hopes it reaches the right team. The swim up suite bathroom design was also inconvenient for families. The soap and shampoo are only available in the shower room and are locked in place, so when using the tub to bathe kids, we had to keep going back and forth between the tub area and the shower area. It would be much more practical if they left additional bottles accessible near the tub. One more note: the pools are beautiful, big, and facing the ocean, but the water was surprisingly cold, even in the heat. Our kids would start shivering, so we didn’t spend much time there. The ocean, on the other hand, was warm, but the waves were rough and with small children we weren’t comfortable spending much time in the water. Because of that, we mostly stayed in the waterpark area. The gym on property is decent and has what you need, but some of the equipment feels a bit worn out. A refresh with newer machines and updated gear would match the overall vibe and quality of the resort. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return one day.

Terrible Resort

Aqmar16 (Lawrence, Kansas) on Jan 02, 2026

This resort is an absolute disaster and one of the worst “luxury” experiences I’ve ever had. Calling this place a resort is generous. The entire experience feels like a poorly organized scam, closer to the Fyre Festival than a family vacation. The food is consistently cold and genuinely awful. Room service takes an hour and a half, and when it finally arrives, it’s barely edible. The menus promise variety, but in reality, almost nothing actually exists. No matter where you go, the only things they seem capable of serving are chicken nuggets and terrible pizza. Everything else on the menu is either “not available,” “not possible,” or they simply refuse to make it. Getting restaurant reservations is a nightmare. The non reservation places, Fresco, for example, is supposedly a taco restaurant. Every single time we went, we were told they “don’t have any meat to make tacos.” At a taco restaurant. At an all-inclusive resort. This wasn’t a one-off issue; it’s clearly the norm. Transportation around the resort is another joke. They have golf carts that are supposed to take you places, but they regularly take 20+ minutes to arrive. When you ask why it’s taking so long, staff laugh and say it’s “Dominican time” and that “5 minutes can mean 20 minutes.” That might be meant as a joke, but when you’re waiting with kids in the heat, it’s not funny at all. It’s just poor service and zero accountability. The service overall is terrible. Staff are largely unreachable unless they are trying to sell you their prestige package. That’s the only time anyone is attentive, responsive, or eager to help. But who would ever spend more money when the basic experience is already so bad? The only mildly positive thing about this place is the water park. It’s fun, but chaotic and poorly managed, and once again the food options there are limited to chicken and pizza. Items listed on the menu, like wraps, are simply “not possible” when you ask for them. This resort massively overpromises and completely underdelivers. Between the cold food, nonexistent menu items, slow and dismissive service, transportation delays, and constant upselling, this place is a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake I did by choosing this resort.

Avoid this place, trust me!

Kristen H on Jan 01, 2026

I don’t even know where to begin. As frequent travelers who are not picky by any means, we were in disbelief over the conditions and service at this resort. I never leave reviews but this deserves one as people need to know what they are getting into. You are assigned a “concierge” when you arrive on sight. They are only there to show you a presentation, not to assist you. Unknowingly, we asked our concierge to help us book our dining reservations for the nights we were there. He helped us the second night but after we showed no interest in the presentation, we were never helped again. We had to dine at the buffet which had long lines and horrible food. The food throughout is mostly bad but the buffet is terrible! Room service is bland and you will not get half of what you ordered but it was probably the most tolerable food on the resort. The restaurants might have been good but we wouldn’t know. Drinks are so watered down, they literally taste like water with a splash of whatever you asked for. Our room was dark, dirty and dingy. Our do not disturb sign did not work. We asked our concierge for a sign to avoid any issues. Our request was completely ignored and the maid walked in on me naked. The water park is nice but be prepared to go really early or grease some palms to get a seat. The workers over there were great and we were happy to tip them. We just wanted to feel like we weren’t bothering the staff which felt like everywhere we went. The Italian restaurant waiter just looked like he hated us. We just had to laugh after a certain point. The circus and magic shows were a hit with our son. A positive on a really negative experience. Laughably bad, expensive experience. At least our kid didn’t seem to notice!

Avoid! Not worth price and frustrating with little kids

vvmd08 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on Dec 30, 2025

Nickelodeon Punta Cana — not worth the price & definitely avoid with young kids. Overall value This resort is significantly overpriced for what it offers. The beach is nice and the property looks attractive, but the overall experience does not justify the cost. Check-in and room issues Check-in was slow and disorganized. We were traveling with three children under 10 and arrived around 6pm after being awake since early morning. Despite having a Flat Suite confirmed and paid for, we were told it was unavailable. I spent over an hour at the front desk trying to resolve this. We were placed in a different room the first night and had to move again the next day. Very frustrating for a family. Food and dining Food quality was mediocre. The buffet had long lines and several meat dishes were served cold. At Aqua Bite near the water park, the pizza was badly undercooked. Dinner reservations are poorly managed — they open at 9am on a clunky website and are gone almost immediately. Tuna tartare with avocado at the supposedly good Italian restaurant was FROZEN. Solid like a hockey puck. Water park hours The water park operates from 10am to 5pm, which makes little sense given that sunset is after 7pm. Prime family time is lost. Nickelodeon experience For a Nickelodeon-branded resort, character interactions were minimal unless you pay extra for character breakfasts or themed dinners. Bars and service Service was slow throughout the resort. Most bars had only one bartender working, including the main outdoor bar in the central evening hangout area, leading to long lines and poor service. Final thoughts This resort charges 5-star prices but delivers a 3-star experience at best. We would not return or recommend it without major improvements
