We stayed at two different suites at Sandals Ochi due to availability of suites during my vacation time frame. The 1st suite, stayed 3 days: The Riviera Honeymoon Beachfront One Bedroom Butler Suite. It could use a renovation! After the initial shock of seeing how run down the hallways looked. The carpet was in need of replacement, and the walls were in desperate need of painting (they looked dirty). The rooms where not bad. They could use a makeover as the furniture appeared to be old. Great view of the ocean from the patio. The friendly staff and Butlers were the saving grace and made our stay so amazing! Our wonderful Butlers Cameil and Debbie were so attentive, they went above and beyond to ensure we had any and everything we desired, at times even before we asked, they were Excellent! The food and drinks everywhere we ate was Delicious! There were lots of daily activities and extra add on selections were excellent! The nightly entertainment was exciting. We really enjoyed our stay! We will be staying at Sandals again! The 2nd suite, stayed 2 days: Butler Village Honeymoon Romeo & Juliet One Bedroom Villa Suite with Private Pool Sanctuary. This room was Awesome! Located on the hillside of Sandals Ochi. (It could use a use an upgrade as the furniture appeared to be old, but not a show stopper). I would definitely reserve this room on a return trip. The staff everywhere were friendly, and our wonderful Butlers stayed with us for our stay in this room also, so their outstanding service continued, which made us super happy! We will most definitely stay at Sandals again!

Vacationer beware! Horrible experience. We booked a beach front honeymoon suite and it looked nothing like the picture. To make matters worst our butler introduced herself by telling us that she works for tips! She did absolutely nothing for us. We had to make our own dinner reservations with the concierge so waste of money for that service. We were moved to a tiny room in preparation for the hurricane and the headboard was so nasty that we had to drape a sheet over it so our hair wouldn’t get stuck to it. Hallway carpets are stained, torn and super dirty. The whole riviera beach front building needs a complete do over. We waited 3 hours for our luggage. Private airport transport was a joke. If you’re anything like us that research your vacation carefully, do yourself a favor and pick another resort. Butler manager is yet to address any of our issues. Sandals customer service is yet to address our issues or refund the money for the room that we paid for. Extremely disappointing since we don’t get to vacation very often. Been waiting 2 weeks for a resolution.

We have fallen in love with this resort. We have been to many sandals resorts in Jamaica, Curacao and St Vincent. The beach is prefect. Other beaches the bottom is rocky and/or mushy. There are pros and cons about any resort and in all honesty we love all the sandals we have been to. Now for the main reason for my posting. With Jamaica just going through a major hurricane you would never know it from the staffs attitude. Some still do not not have power at their homes and they are here taking wonderful care if us. You wouldn't even know what is going on in their personal lives. Shawna Lee is a bartender at the beach bar. She is so wonderful and on point. Smiles Smiles and Smiles. She is a pleasure to be around. She took such great care if us. A true Gem of Jamaica.

Hotel was fine but not up to Sandals reputation. I have stayed at other Sandals and was disappointed with this one. The lower section by the ocean was in serious need of a renovation. Room was adequate, but not up to their standards. Water dripped on me each time I left the room from condensation on the hallway ceiling. We particularly enjoyed the Japanese restaurant though. The bartenders were not what I would consider friendly or interested in being there. The rest of the staff were what I have come to expect from Sandals and were very attentive. With that said, the loyalty staff were not. We were not given the resort run down on arrival and missed a bit of what the resort offered. The sailboats were not available between 11 and 2, then too busy to actually be able to sail. I will not be planning to repeat a stay here.

This is four months late, but I write this with the greatest appreciation for Dan Dals. Dan has sent my husband & I along with friends on two unbelievable vacation to Sandals Jamaica (Ochi). Each time we have had the best time with amazing service and Dan always going out of his way for extra’s that have been amazing. If traveling to any of the beautiful Sandals resorts you should definitely book with Dan - he’s the absolute BEST! He even stopped by the resort with his awesome wife Jen to introduce himself & left us with some goodies.. We Love Jamaica - but, plan to venture to a new island in 2025 with Dans help ??
