Great gluten free and a wonderful hotel
Leah R (Erie, Colorado) on Jul 05, 2025
First of I would like to thank Christian and Sebastian for truly making this a great gluten free experience. I am celiac so must avoid gluten and a large part of that is ensuring no cross contamination and they were great in ensuring that. Chef Christian even cooked one of my meals for me and one night brought me a slice of delicious chocolate cake. Chef concierge Sebastian communicated with me daily and would often stop by my meal to ensure everything was going ok. They truly made me feel safe eating there and there were plenty of options to be had at all restaurants, The hotel, pool and room were great. We have been to a number of all inclusive as (including all Beaches locations) and I would rate this higher in every category. The water park was great and we would often spend most of the morning there followed by an afternoon at the pool. This hotel is very well maintained and 95% of the staff was amazing and were attentive and helpful. Given all this the only complaints I had was the breakfast at the club restaurant I found limited and not overly amazing and after 2 tries we just stuck to the buffet which was great. The other disappointment is our room came with a butler who was basically non existent short of me messaging him daily what time I was going to dinner. I would say that if you are trying to make a decision about booking a one bedroom I would not base it on getting a butler because we got zero value out of it. I do give the hotel credit for handling the situation well. Lastly, I will warn the beach was not swimmable due to the amount of seaweed. This is not the hotels fault given we have experienced this elsewhere but it was still a bummer, but we still had an amazing time and vacation and we would return.

Great resort! Excellent staff! Thoroughly enjoyed the place! Very friendly staff! Great food options! We went with our family and kids. All of us really liked the pools, water parks and tours!
An AMAZING family trip!

I cannot tell you how perfect the resort is, and the service is even better. My son had a bunch of food allergies, and Sebastián who handles allergies was AMAZING. He met us at various dinner spots to make sure everything was perfect for my son. At the pool, they are constantly coming around to see if you need drinks. Not typical of an all-inclusive! The rooms are big, plenty of space to hang clothes, etc. You will not be disappointed!! I can’t wait to go back!
Fun First Time Kids Trip

We just got back from a 4-night stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana with another family (five kids under 5 years old between us and overall, we had a great experience. As a travel advisor and a mom, I really appreciated how thoughtfully designed the resort was for families. The water park was a huge hit, the kids club and nightly outdoor movies kept the little ones entertained and happy. We stayed in the Club Level, which was worth it for the Club pool and bar area, and had some really fun dining experiences — The Blind Butcher was a standout. Honestly, we enjoyed all the food throughout the trip, which isn't always easy when traveling with young kids. That said there were a few things that could be improved. The welcome felt a bit rushed there was some confusion with our check in at the Club lounge and we never really received information about our concierge service until WE sought it out and we would’ve loved a warmer greeting. Poolside service could be quicker (sometimes it was 30 minutes before someone would come to ask our drink orders and another 20 minutes to bring it back) and with little kids at a family friendly resort, having the option to book dinner reservations instead of doing first-come-first-serve would’ve been a big help. Housekeeping was fine, but the bathroom could’ve used a bit more attention. Still, the resort is beautiful, easy to get to from the airport, and very family-friendly. We made great memories and would absolutely go back. It’s a solid choice for families looking for fun and convenience in a really lovely setting.
Great resort, highly recommend

We stayed at Hotel Ziva in the Dominican Republic this past June with our family which included family members aging from 3 to 75 years old. We absolutely loved our stay here & would 10/10 recommend this all inclusive resort for family vacation. We have a child who has special needs and requires tube feeding. We contacted the hotel in advance and they met us with nothing but full acceptance, eagerness, willingness to help and make our stay as smooth as possible. Particularly Sebastian Luna, the on site concierge chef met us every single day, stored our daughters feeds in their resort kitchen and delivered her feeds to us at the time of her meal daily on time with no hesitation. He checked in on us every single meal to ensure we had plentiful vegetarian options & were comfortable. His empathy and passion for what he does was shining strong throughout our entire stay. The rest of the staff in the cafes, restaurants, around the pools/beach were excellent, available, and friendly as well. We loved the way everyone was greeted on the resort with a hand on the heart and a smile. We loved the variety of activity options that were there for us- including beach painting, yoga, zumba, arts/crafts, music, shows, movies, etc during our entire stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comforting. The room service staff was agile, punctual, trustworthy, and helpful.
