Staff was spectacular

This is my 2nd time staying here with my family. All I can say is the staff is the reason why I keep coming back. Everyone at the club pool was spectacular!!!!!! My butler/ friend was Martin and he was like family ,checking in on us daily and doing extra special things for us, I couldn't ask for more. He would constantly leave surprises for us in our room and made our stay extra special.Thans again to all the staff.
Perfect Family Beach Vacation

Our family (2 grandparents, 6 parents, and 6 grandkids) just returned from our third straight Christmas/New Year's trip to Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana. We had another amazing experience. The staff is fantastic--of the 100+ people we engaged with (check-in, wait staff, bartenders, housekeeping, etc.) we did not have any negative experiences. Special shout out to Darling and Raquel for their attentive efforts to make sure all of us were taken care of! The food is excellent--much better than we've had at other all-inclusives. Our favorites restaurants were Noodle and Thread, breakfast and lunch at Chinola, and the Indian restaurant on the Zilara side. The facilities are beautiful--everything from the grand lobbies at both Ziva and Zilara to the restaurants to the public bathrooms is nicely designed. After five days of pickleball, sailing, beach volleyball, swimming, cocktails on the beach, watching college football in the sports bar, and the fine dining, waking up tomorrow for work is going to be unbearable. In sum, if you can afford it (definitely not cheap), it's worth it and as close as you can get to a sure thing for a family beach vacation. You get the budget certainty of the all-inclusive model (nice to not sweat the dozens of Shirley Temples the kids order at the pool bar), and the quality of the food and drink is as good as an a la carte resort. The short ride from Punta Cana airport is also really nice. We've already booked for next year! Mike & Kimi (Washington DC)
Pros outweighted the cons, but Hyatt Ziva is overall a better pick for families

Pros: Hotel grounds, clean, solid food options, app to make reservations and order room service, pool area, coffee bar, shops, water park for kids Cons: Overcrowded beach with no chairs available any day we went, seaweed everywhere and many boats making water choppy, Room AC was iffy many times hot or humid in the room, staff isn't friendly, no shows for kids, Poor wifi (we were hacked). Our fridge in the room did not work.
A real vacation

As far as all-inclusive, they really take care of it all -- things were basically always open and available, and everywhere you go there is someone to help. Great great service, including Jamie at the Club, Sebastian at the pool, Juan D on the beach, and the amazing housekeeping staff. Food amenities services atmosphere all terriric. Being family-friendly meant that the kids feel comfortable being kids and we felt great letting them explore -- it was the vacation our family needed.

Beautiful property on Juanillo beach. Beach itself has powdery white sand with multiple chairs that are serviced by staff with drinks / water. Lovely pool, hot tub. 4 restaurants on ziva and 4 on zilara. The adults can access all restaurants on both properties. Restaurants itself are top notch and better than your average all inclusive. Good entertainment for the most part. Daily movies for the under 10s . Kids club which we didnt use much but looked great with option to check in hour child for the day. Water park with lazy river and slides. Honestly you can spend a week and not leave the property. The only reason I docked a star is the attempt to upsell at every tiny opportunity.
