Great family trip - allergy friendly and kids loved it!

We traveled with our kids - 8 & 6 - who had an excellent time! Main review focus - Food allergy Accommodation! My 8 year old has Celiac Disease and multiple food allergies. We were in contact with the food concierge prior to arrival. Every single restaurant inquired about allergies - and got the manager to assist us before every meal. I printed and laminated a list of my child's allergies (in English and Spanish), which was helpful. My kid is also a pickier eater, but gluten-free burger buns, french fries (separate fryer), pizza, pancakes, muffins, and pasta were available. Sebastian, Christian, and the other food managers went above and beyond to get food that my son could eat safely. We are so incredibly grateful that we could feed our son on vacation! My kids enjoyed the activities, especially beach soccer and group movies. We didn't have a chance to use the kids club, but it looked great. Great large pools, including the main Ziva pool. 4.5" deep, with a section that is 1-3" deep for younger kids or sitting as an adult. Great water park with a range of slides for little kids (and a splash area), along with slides for bigger kids/teens/adults, and a lazy river. Also to note, we were traveling towards the end of winter break (over New Year's) and for the busy season, we did not feel like it was excessively overcrowded. Positive notes on the cleanliness of the resort, along with excellent service throughout. We hope to be back again!

We have visited many resorts and Hyatt Ziva/Zilara is our favorite. The condition of the property, the amazing fitness center, attentive staff and great food options are all top notch. It’s also only 20 minutes from the airport. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful relaxing and rejuvenating experience

Great location, right on the beach. Multiple pools and seating areas. Great pool bars and beach service. Awesome swim up bars. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants and bars with a variety of cuisines. Loved the fact that we could visit restaurants in Zilara too. Great Indian and French Polynesian cuisine.

A very good property with great amenities. The best hotel gym hands down. Stay away from the Indian restaurant at the property. Ambiance was great but the food was terrible. Wife and daughter loved the spa.

By far our favorite resort in the DR. My family and I decided to come to the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana for a holiday trip post Christmas. Best. Decision. Ever. By far the best all inclusive we have been to, and my family and I travel a lot, especially around the Caribbean islands. We got a club one bedroom master swim up suite. The room was amazing, and the two bathrooms was a must have, especially since we were traveling with family. Note for next time, skip the swim up unless it’s the beach front room. The pools are way too cold and the chairs get minimal sun during the day. Our Butler, Juan, was amazing. He checked up on us daily and made sure we had everything we needed, from help with dinner coordinations or food in the room. Can’t thank him enough! The pool staff/bar staff were amazing. For the first two days we had Elena, who was amazing. My family all ordered the same thing multiple times so she caught on and didn’t even have to ask what we wanted. She also brought us coconuts which was amazing, and we didn’t even have to ask. Then we had a switch to another waitress, Beatriz. She was the best! Straight away she treated us like family. She was always around and made sure we had what we needed, whether it be water or drinks. She made me the best mojito I have ever had in my life. On our last day, she made sure that we were treated well and got all the drinks we wanted. We love Beatriz! We hope to see her again when we return. She was the highlight of our trip. Two tips for people coming/planning to come to Hyatt Ziva, or really any all inclusive: 1. Tip the waitstaff! Especially the bartenders and pool staff, and you’re ordering a bunch or many drinks at once. They come back to you more if you do. 2. One of the only ways to get chairs front row of the pool is to get up. EARLY. My dad gets up at 6 am every morning, so he goes to put out towels to claim chairs. Majority of the chairs were taken by then. We figured out by overhearing some conversations between staff members and guests that there’s a likely chance people are paying pool staff to reserve chairs. We weren’t quite sure who to ask, so we just had to get up earlier and earlier each day. No complaints, just advising people to be ready. The restaurants on the Ziva side were pretty good. We had Tempest Table two nights because it was our favorite. We tried Chinola, and the appetizers were good, but the main dish I ordered didn’t really agree with my stomach much. We skipped out on the Italian restaurant because, being an Italian family, we don’t really love caribbean island Italian food. Stopped by Navigator one night for dinner, and it was decent, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It had everything you could ever ask for and the wait staff were attentive, refilling your water and coffee constantly. The lunch buffet was decent, and we loved the make-your-own sushi station. The dinner buffet was fine, we only went once but the selection was good, the food was just meh. All in all, we loved it, and we are already planning to visit next year!
