ONE TERRIFIC VACATION!!!????
Paradise303693 on Jan 16, 2026
Only our second trip ever over Christmas and New Year’s as a family that was for two weeks. Initially, we were concerned for the kids as it is a relatively small Royalton resort, but just the opposite happened. The two young ones, 13 and 10 had a great trip also. Swimming both beach and pool, kids club, rummy cube, trivia contests at Gracie pool, axe throwing ( plastic), darts, crochet, all contributed to their fun holiday. Our butler service combined with Diamond club was amazing! Food in our lobby was excellent and 1 morning that we were on a catamaran trip early, we were able to have bacon and eggs breakfast before we left. We also took a bus trip around the island seeing a chocolate factory and a rum distillery. A full day trip that was very educational. It is a safe island and we even went to a catholic church on Christmas Day. A beautiful ceremony!! The meals were excellent and the shows after dinner were excellent especially if u like karaoke! The New Years dance and fire works totally exceeded our expectations. The best fireworks we have ever experienced in more than 10 trips! In the beginning we took carts around to different meals and beach activities but after a few days we knew our way around and so then walked everywhere. I loved the two times we went for a massage that was also very relaxing. On another day 4 of us played the only local 9 hole golf course that was 20 minutes away. A caddy was required and very helpful. We enjoyed the golf on our vacation even though not like our courses. All in all, an amazing terrific relaxing vacation. Highly recommended by frequent travellers.
Very disappointing stay!

Hugely disappointing – nowhere near a 5-star experience We are currently staying at this hotel expecting a 5-star experience, but unfortunately it fell far short of what was advertised. Upon arrival the room was not cleaned properly, and basic hygiene standards were not met. In addition, there was no soap or toiletries provided, which caused significant inconvenience. These are essential amenities that I would reasonably expect to be available, especially given the cost of the accommodation. The biggest issue was the sunbeds and food.Guests and ourself’s were repeatedly kicked off them with no clear explanation, which was frustrating and embarrassing. This made it impossible to relax and enjoy the beach area. The food was another major disappointment. The quality was very poor, repetitive, and nowhere near what you would expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Meals often looked unappetising and lacked flavour. Service was equally disappointing. Staff were unhelpful and at times rude, and any issues raised were brushed off rather than resolved. There was a clear lack of professionalism and attention to guests. Overall, this was a hugely disappointing stay and certainly not worth the price paid. This hotel does not meet 5-star standards in terms of service, food, or guest experience. I would not return and would not recommend it to others.
Day-pass disappointment.

My spouse’s birthday is 26th December. I contacted Royalton via telephone on 16th December 2025 and enquired whether there were any day passes available for 26th December 2025. The operator told me yes, described what was included, and provided the cost. I asked whether I could book 2 day passes for my spouse and me and the operator confirmed. I provided all details and I was told that my day passes were confirmed. I made no other or alternative plans for my spouse’s birthday, which fell on a national holiday. On 24th December 2025 at 5:43pm (the following 2 days being national holidays), Royalton contacted me via telephone to inform me that they were no longer doing day passes for December 26th, and that my bookings were canceled. No alternatives were provided. No service recovery options were suggested. Nothing. My attempts to book alternative plans proved futile owing to the last-minute cancellation from Royalton. Consequently, we could not celebrate my spouse’s birthday and spent the day doing nothing. I would not recommend Royalton.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royalton Greneda. This was our first visit to the island and upon arrival we immediately felt welcome. The resort exceeded our expectations. Overall the resort is clean, and the grounds are kept tidy. We booked an Ocean Front room and we were situated on the third floor of building number sixteen. The room was a good size for a couple. The beds are very comfortable. Few resorts allow you to fall asleep listening to the ocean and we could literally step onto the beach from our building. The pool in this area of the resort was also quieter than the larger main pool which we enjoyed. Towels were always available first thing in the morning and although we did reserve beach / pool chairs some days, it is not necessary. The beach has several areas for shade and there are entry points that do not require water shoes. It is a beautiful walk from end to end on the beach and it is rarely busy. The area is nice for snorkeling and swimming. We spent hours in the ocean. The view from the beach looking out over the ocean and towards the lush mountains is amazing. Our room was cleaned at a later hour on the first day, closer to 5:00 PM. We brought this to the attention of the staff and every other day the room was cleaned in the morning. Anytime we brought something to the staffs attention the addressed it in a timely manner. They truly prioritize customer service. The food at this resort was good. People should keep in mind that Greneda is a small island and they do not have the same access to food and resources as others may have. That said they quickly replenished any goods. There was variety at the buffet and the staff there had great attention to detail specifically at the Omelette and Pasta stations. We enjoyed all of the A La Carte restaurants. Make sure to see the concierge at the lobby to make your reservations at the earliest possible convenience upon booking as you will need to book a few days in advance. They quietly note your preferences. Each night we went to Grazie we were seated in our area of preference on the balcony. When dining at Ma Maison the waitress remembered us from a few nights previous, and remembered our beverage orders. Nibbles is the beachside restaurant and was where I met one of my favourite waitresses, Makeda. She always greeted us with a smile and paid extra special attention to our group. The cafe, Scoops was another favourite spot. I believe the bread and pastries are all made on-site and they were always restocked well for the morning. The ice cream is a real treat and the coffee is wonderful. We enjoyed the entertainment - there is some marvellous local talent. There were also plenty of activities on resort. You can be as busy as you want to be or you can just relax. We chose to do a half day tour (Rainforest to Beach), I would recommend everyone takes the opportunity to see the island. It is very safe and incredibly scenic. This tour was a real highlight for our group. This island is a gem in the Caribbean. The people and scenery are what captured our hearts. The level of hospitality is second to none. The people are very genuine and like to connect with the tourists. Visiting the island was a privilege. We recommend the Royalton to anyone considering visiting Greneda.
Beautiful beach and wonderful time!

Just flying home from a week at the Royalton in Grenada. Was somewhat concerned prior to our holiday after reading the negative reviews. There were 18 friends in our group and we travel together every two years. We had a fabulous week on the resort and out exploring the island. The beach is stunning…clean and beautiful. The staff were very friendly for the most part. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a gorgeous ocean view. The food wasn’t outstanding but we thoroughly enjoyed what was provided and made the most of it. The cheeseburgers at the beach restaurant were delicious. We also enjoyed the a la carte restaurants and the breakfast at the buffet was delish. We had a wonderful week together and felt the resort was totally worth what we paid for.
