A luxury hotel that operates like one star
Tolex O on Feb 28, 2026
This is the worst luxury hotel and prices per night were not cheap 4nights $1182.72usd. Location was perfect, amenities were great. But there were several things that were wrong. The way they operate feels like a deliberate attempt by staffs to self sabatage to get back at the hotel owners/upper management and the spoil the hotel reputation. we missed our flight had to settle for the hotel due to proximity to the airport. we got to the hotel front desk around 3:45pm, had to wait till 8pm to access our room because it was being clean. To apologize for their incompetency they gave a room in the diamond lodge section a top tier according to them with elevator. The room ac did not work, bed and pillows were very hard, ceiling fan was making squiky noise night, room fridge not working. Every furniture in the room was covered with dust including the balony. The bathroom lacks body wash, we called front desk for replacement room service arrived with piles of white towels that was never requested. He said can i provide the body wash in a dasani empty water bottle because we are of body wash bottle. Asked for ice cream " we apologize our refigerator is currently down" so no ice cream for over a week or fridge being repaired. Used there indian resturant, arrived the room was hotel " sorry the AC is not working" at 85 degrees temp
Beautiful vacation

Very beautiful resort. I enjoyed the beautiful beaches, the buffet has lots of variety. Not super full of people like some resorts. It may be as many amenities as some of the more expensive all inclusives. The people make up the difference in their hospitality.
Could be so much better

Grenada is lovely. Grounds are beautiful. The reviews however are generally accurate unfortunately. Royalton, do better. This is not good value for the money you pay for a resort claiming to be 5*. Food: definitely not 5* Ma Maison french was underwhelming. Not better than the buffet. Buffet:There should be hand sanitizer dispensers at the buffet. Food pretty repetitive but fine. Some dishes were labelled, others not. Food temps are not regulated. Lots of lukewarm dishes. Saw a burger being cleared with a bite out of it that was completely raw. Reported ants crawling on buns in the bread station. Sat and ate my lunch and no one ever came to look or remove them. Anyone preferring plant based/vegetarian options will get bored fast. Ice cream at the coffee shop not to be had as the freezer was broken. Beach: near water sports was best. Rest of the beach was rocky. Always lots of towels but the loungers were not very comfortable. Diamond club: Your stay will cost even more but will probably be slightly better in Diamond club. Building 20 is apparently newer and therefore nicer/more updated than other buildings. Room was very good. Recommend higher floor. AC worked, bed comfortable. There is nowhere to put your things in the shower other than the floor. Water pressure was weak and one of the sinks didn’t drain properly but that didn’t affect our stay. Room cleanliness overall not up to par for a 5*. Butlers are very nice, attentive and as helpful as possible. Any issues we had were quickly resolved. Dealing with 7-10 rooms a week probably spreads them a bit thin. Staff overall were great. Pleasant, friendly and hardworking. Diamond club breakfast restaurant (Italian) has nice options but is ruled by birds. Bird poop everywhere and birds trying to get in your food is off putting. Diamond club lounge was nice with help yourself drinks and snacks but those snacks can sit for a long time. Recurring issues are a reflection on management. Royalton responds to reviews on this site but there doesn’t seem to be much effort to improve or correct these common complaints. If your website indicates that early check in/late checkout is complimentary for Diamond club don’t tell guests it costs $35US. Can’t say I would return or encourage anyone to stay at this resort because I’m not okay paying 5* $ for a 3.5* resort. Compliments to excellent butlers Nicolette and Mary and server Deleon in the buffet who always hustled and was very attentive. The staff make this resort.
The most recent reviews are on point...there are better places to stay for cheaper

I feel like I'm just repeating what others have said so I'll be short. I was here for business for 4 nights so my company paid for this trip. Therefore, my patience was more than it would have been should I have paid out of pocket. I then had to stay another night the next week because my flight was canceled and it was even worse. Check in: The first time took 2 hours and the 2nd time took 4 hours Grounds: Beautiful! Bird watchers would appreciate this place. The beach is pretty rocky but obviously that is out of their control. Grand Anse beach is nicer. For such a large resort I was surprised they only had 2 small pools. Customer service: Most staff are lovely and they always say hello, good morning, etc...we really liked that. However, some of the front desk staff seemed like they didn't like their jobs. Anytime we had a concern we kept being told they apologise but they definitely were acting like we were getting on their nerves. When we were on the 4th hour waiting for our key, Renele's response to us is we have to understand that they got alot of check ins due to canceled flights and as a result housekeeping still wasn't done or rooms. (We have to understand???????) We got our keys around 9pm that night. Rooms: The regular room's air conditioning was amazing. The screen was broken. The second room which we were upgraded to diamond club after waiting so long for our room. Where do I start? There was no shower gel bottle in the bathroom so the belman said that he didn't have one so asked us to empty a water bottle in the mini bar so that he could fill that up with shower gel for us. The air conditioning also didn't work but we were too exhausted to ask for assistance at almost 10pm. Food: I didn't hate the buffet. The air conditioning in the Indian restaurant was broken and the food lacked flavour. The freezer in the cafe also broke so no ice cream. Overall: As a Marriott gold member I really really wanted to like this hotel. But for the cost, its not worth it. I think there needs to be a conversation with management but Marriott should be ashamed to be connected to this hotel. We have stayed in the cheapest Marriott resorts in other countries that were phenomenal so we were confused. Next time we will try Radisson which we heard raving reviews about.
poor food

Would not stop here again, staff were great but the food is awful even in the a la carte restaurants there was never a full menu always items missing like warm food in the buffet not a four star hotel good location though
