We recently had a holiday at the royalton Grenada, we’ve actually been coming to this hotel for 17 years, a lot has changed. Pros. … Clean and tidy , plenty of eating options, coffee shop was excellent selling ice creams, shakes and cakes. Food in buffet restaurant very good Pool area good with superb vibe staff keeping people entertained Rooms cleaned and re stocked every day . Gardens beautiful. Service overall is excellent and it’s hard to leave the hotel only the beautiful island entices you. Cons … It’s difficult to find areas to complain about and one would have to be very pedantic to do so but there are some areas that require attention Italian restaurant is awful, I couldn’t bite through my pizza and only ate the topping . The other food was well presented but hid inadequacies in flavour. The Indian restaurant isn’t much better My vindaloo was like tomato ketchup and rice , never had a curry this bad anywhere. We never ate at the French one as it was permanently booked up for the entire fortnight, it was obviously better than the other two . Our shower barely worked and I reported it twice , however it was never fixed . For some reason the bar staff at the pool bar could be quite miserable and needed to be coaxed into pleasantries which did not reflect the wonderful staff elsewhere. Nighttime entertainment was mediocre to awful, a good number of nights were served by the vibe staff who tried very hard but lacked professionalism , a musical based on miming hit soca songs doesn’t address the international clientele attending. In general entertainment was aimed at the Caribbean community and was uncomfortably loud, we really did struggle to communicate with the volume so high. We used to love the entertainment in the Rex and made new friends every year, this is quite impossible now , having a good time and meeting new friends was 50% of our holiday enjoyment. Although this sounds and reads like a serious complaint, it’s enhanced for clarity so the hotel can fix it for future guests. Above all I would like to give a mention to 3 individuals for their fantastic service and attention to detail. These 3 boys made us laugh every day and were forever questioning our needs , they were very professional and at times wonderfully sympathetic and genuinely friendly. Malcolm, George and Kaunda from the vibe team . Well done boys . So , would we return ? That’s a difficult one, there’s too much potential for improvement which I don’t believe will be fixed in the short term, we enjoyed ourselves because the price paid dictated we had to . Maybe in a year or two if things have improved. There are many hotels on the island which offer similar packages without the frills for less money so things certainly need to reflect the costs. It is not a five star hotel but a four in my opinion, with the right changes and attention to detail implemented we may well return .

On vacation decided to join in aqua fit - excellent workout , good instructor kelson, Excellent yoga session this morning with kelson was very professional and knowledgeable, Gym overall excellent air conditioning and good range of equipment ????

This is a really beautiful resort and has stunning views for taking snaps. I had a good time and Kaunda you are awesome. Yes you are. I had a short stay and you’ve made me feel welcome and I also appreciate you John and all his efforts. Everyone at the royalton Grenada is so respectful and polite. Thank you so much guys. I definitely will be going back to Grenada for round two.

Great resort and really friendly staff. The highlight was the morning yoga classes run by Kelson and Cristal! Great flow and start to the day. Also, you you have a chance do the 4km morning walk, Kelson was great at showing up the local area and giving us a little background on the local history… highly recommended!

We did yoga every morning with Kelson from Royalton Fit. It was the best way to start our morning and get us in a relaxing mindset for the rest of the day. The best thing we did was the 4K walk with Kelson outside of the resort. He showed us some really great local beaches, bars and some different fruit trees. Would recommend starting your day with yoga or a walk with him!
