First off I would say that the staff at the Royalton Greneda was a huge credit to our two week stay. Check in was quick, pleasant and was well explained by warm and welcoming staff. The room was good, functional and in fairly good state of cleanliness. Disappointingly though was that there was three of us yet the room’s bathroom had been prepared for two people; which meant I had to call housekeeping to request missing items - surely you would think that a process would be in place to ensure that rooms are properly prepared according to the number of guests that will be using the facility. As mentioned above the staff were exceptional - warm, pleasant and always willing to stop whatever they were doing to address any of your requests; and importantly usually with a smile. Notably unlike a number of other resorts we’ve stayed around the world, staff would always greet you, say hi, good morning - acknowledging you as they passed you: outstanding. Disappointingly though, just the once, finding that my wife and daughter (who had gone ahead of me) had been seated somewhere that I did not feel comfortable with, I approached the host and asked to be reseated. She did not acknowledge me, utter a word and just went ahead into the restaurant. Not sure if I was supposed to follow her I did, and was seated, again without a single word been uttered or even eye contact made to acknowledge my request - absolutely infuriating. Unlike a number of other reviews the bar staff were excellent; served quickly, and wandering staff attentive to offer refills. Once again though one exception. My 17 year old daughter who had a light blue wrist band, with us adults wearing a dark blue wristband was served a rum punch, which she ordered. I have to ask why was she given a different coloured wristband to us, what is its purpose??? Here in the UK you can be sacked if you serve / sell alcohol to a minor especially if you made no attempt to check that person’s age; and trust me my daughter is not one of the young persons who look a lot older than they are. Again I have to ask what is the purpose of the different coloured wristbands. Food was a mixed bag: the buffet repetitive and often bland,; the Italian very nice, tiny portions though; the Indian very far from authentic - the nan bread very doughy and curry sauces thin almost watery; the French again nice but limited choices. The lady who made our omelettes was an absolute star. She (undercover boss) I would have immediately given her $50,000 and an immediate promotion- unfortunately I did not get her name. All in all, still a lovely, stunning resort. Generally an excellent service with the odd exceptions and staff to be proud of.

Avoid this place our honeymoon of three weeks was ruined

I didnt even get to stay!! THEY STOLE MY PAYMENT! I missed my flight, my agent called to explain the situation as I could only get another flight 3 days later, for the reservations team to basically tell me I was a no show and their policy doesn't allow that. Mind you the policy says a no show is to pay a 2 night penalty ..so where is the remainder of my booking payment then??? STOLEN BY THESE HUNGRY THIEVES ..oh and let's not forget to mention all this happened on my birthday These big hotels care nothing about their clients im so pissed

Wonderful spa staff and we received first class massages from Dayla and Christine. The whole experience from entering the door was fantastic. We would highly recommend a spa experience to our friends and family at the Royalton Grenada West Indies.

Just returned home from a stay at this Royalton and booked the diamond club. I have stayed at many resorts in my life so just wanted to give me insight of pros and cons. Pros: Diamond club upgrade comes with a butler and mine (Mary and Nicolette were great). They were able to get our group accommodated for a large birthday dinner. And were there anytime you needed something. You have access to the diamond club lounge where they always have snack and premium alcohol which is nice. I ate at the French and Italian restaurants as well as the buffet. I thought the food was good in every place and they also have a cafe where you can get ice cream and coffees. The grounds were very nice and well kept as well, beautiful pools and beaches. Another major pro was all the staff on the resort they were so nice. Great waitresses and bartenders they make you feel at home and welcomed. Also the room (beach front) was awesome. The beds were comfortable and nice showers. Cons: The cons are it appears to be hard to eat at the restaurants being upgraded to diamond club we were able to get reservations but if you aren’t diamond and have a big group I think it would be challenging. Another con is the diamond club comes with upgraded liquor which is essential for me but you can only get it at 1 pool bar which closes at 6 and the lounge which closes at 10. So makes it difficult to get the drinks you want if you want to watch entertainment in the lobby. This resort is family style and doesn’t have much of a nightlife element. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I think I would return.
