"Panoramic Suite" with a view of a wall
michaelt845 (Los Angeles, California) on Jan 16, 2026
Booked a Panoramic Suite for my son and I while he was here for a football tournament. Thought it would be fun to have a large room with a view... On the 5th floor with a view of the wall and massive lights shining into the room. We're Marriott Gold members (and booked a higher room) and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Won't be staying here again... If you book a "Panoramic Room," be sure you don't get the bottom floor where you have a panoramic view of a wall!
Perfect for a quiet escape on the Strip
Andrew G (Lancaster, United States) on Jan 16, 2026
Stayed in the "studio parlor suite" -- for solo travelers or married couples on a short visit, this room is ideal - plenty of space but not more than you need (as if often the case with full suites). The artwork on the walls is an unfortunate choice (that shade of green is not relaxing!), but otherwise the room is well-appointed (right down to enough coffee for 4 cups). My room was not particularly close to the elevator, but the walk from the lobby was pleasantly short compared to other Vegas properties. You make up for it, though, with the somewhat off-Strip location -- if you want to walk to high-end casinos, pools, and restaurants, you're all set -- Cosmopolitan and Bellagio are 5-10 minutes away with no need to go outdoors. (Aria requires a couple minutes outdoors if you don't want to wait for the tram, enough that I'd think twice on a really hot day). If you prefer a short walk to fast food, affordable sundries, and mall shops, then it's more like 10-15 minutes with significant time outdoors and crowd-fighting. The lobby is fairly busy but there's plenty of space and it's typically relaxed and quiet if you want to get out of the room for a bit. The on-site restaurants did not seem too crowded, and there is a 24-hour place with a mini-market. A nice plus for being near but not on the Strip is that unlike other nearby properties, you usually won't see junkies loitering right outside the entrance. If you're considering Aria, Vdara often seems quite a bit less expensive at the cost of a couple of extra minutes of walking (my favorite part of Aria, the Patisserie late at night, is literally right inside the door facing Vdara).
