First trip to vegas
MPG44 on Feb 03, 2023
We chose the Vdara as it seemed a safe choice for a our first time to Las Vegas. The lobby etc is small in comparison but clean, classy and always smelt great. We checked in online so skipped any queue, the room was faultless and the view from 41026 was amazing. We chose the route through the Bellagio to access the strip, which never gets old, through the Aria is also a quick, indoor walk to the strip. Try the croissant’s and pain au chocolate at the Market shop downstairs, and avoid the Starbucks line by getting your coffee there too. For a casino and smoke free hotel I would absolutely recommend the Vdara, it felt more spa hotel than vegas hotel - but close enough to all the fun.
Solo Birthday Trip to Vegas
HighlandsCO (Denver, Colorado) on Feb 02, 2023
I stayed at Vdara from Jan. 27 - Jan 30. At the last minute, I decided to spend my birthday weekend in Vegas. I found the reviews at Vdara intriguing. Honestly, I haven't heard of Vdara but decided to give it a try (especially with the discount provided to me by Tripadvisor Plus). Check-in was smooth. Only had to wait for 10 minutes or less. Was placed on 35th floor. Room was super clean. Compact. Very modern. I enjoyed the "kitchenette". Bathroom was spacious (at least for me). Bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the bedroom end tables with modern ipad-like clocks. Lobby bar was nice. A bit cheaper priced drinks than the casinos. The Market, in the lobby was nice. I had their sandwiches which were ok. Didn't buy any chips, soda, or beer. I visited the Starbucks every morning. Be aware the lines to the Starbucks and the Market can become very long. I would hit Starbucks at 7:15am-7:30am and the line was starting to get long. Because of low staffing, it would take nearly 20 minutes to get a coffee at Starbucks. Many people would leave the line and head to the Market for their coffee so, then, that line would become long. The location of Vdara was awesome. You are next door to Aria, Bellagio, and The Cosmopolitan. So convenient. As noted, Vdara doesn't have a casino in their lobby which was super nice not having to walk through a casino, hearing the gambling machine noises as you head to the elevator to go to your room. I also took the tram from Vdara to the other locations. It was ok. Speaking of elevators, the only nuisance was the elevator card-reader. You have to apply your bedroom card to the reader and then press your floor number. The problem is the reader would work some of the time. You'd have to re-apply it several times or use the other side's reader. There wasn't a day that my card or other customer's card wouldn't work. Somewhat frustrating. I took an Uber to/from the airport. Convenient pickup location at Vdara. No issues. So that's it. I have told friends and relatives about Vdara and recommend it to them if they want to avoid a casino-hotel stay and save some $$$. That's it.
