Category 5 hurricane in Jamaica

NancyT4Two (Glenolden, Pennsylvania) on Nov 06, 2025

We were at Coco during a category five hurricane. The hotel had a management plan in place and we were on lockdown for two days. The hotel had backup generators extra food. The manager even helped us find anti-seizure medicine for our son. Staff checked on us to make sure we were OK. I would definitely trust sending my children to this hotel.

The Most wonderful kind Staff

Gemma S (Swaffham, United Kingdom) on Nov 03, 2025

We were visiting a different hotel during Hurricane Melissa, we were unable to get meals where we were staying the staff at cocolapalm welcomed us in and served us meals they treated us just like the guests of the hotel. I would like to mention Chris who was so kind to us he made sure we could eat and drink. When we had no cash left they went out of their way even though it was so difficult to find a way for us to pay. We got the opportunity to look at this beautiful hotel and meet the fantastic staff. I will go back to Jamaica one day and I believe I will being booking a room at this wonderful hotel

4* resort 5* service

oxcatjamaica (Collingwood, Canada) on Oct 17, 2025

Seasoned Jam traveler. Brought a friend who had not been anywhere but an a/i in Mobay. Perfect location on the beach. Rooms where large, clean with white sheets! Lots of amenities: 2 pools, hot tub, 2 restaurants, safe in room, lots of towels. hair dryer, ironing board, iron, coffee, fridge, coffee maker. Service was SUPERB. Serive compared to Catcha Falling Star imo.

Great place to stay and enjoy the simple life!

Flowdaddy5 (Yukon, Oklahoma) on Aug 23, 2025

Great hotel that is right on the perfectly clear beaches of 7 mile beach! Hardly any turnover on staff as we see the same faces from last year. Super safe to walk on and down the beach and explore local restaurants or just stay put and enjoy the lunch and dinner at Coco! For the evening bar staff, say hi to Dwight aka Gilligan and Kian aka Mary Anne!

Coco La Palm is a Vibe!

kabrooklyn (Marina del Rey, California) on Aug 23, 2025

We had an amazing time at Coco La Palm! Negril is a Vibe! Perfect small resort right on the most gorgeous beach with plenty of chairs and tree shade. The ocean was calm and you can literally float all day through the sunset glow with a lovely drink in hand. There were also tons of floats to use, not sure if they were left behind by other guests or from the hotel but they were much appreciated and this was a carry on only vacation for us and we did not bring our own. The pools and jacuzzi were clean and open late. You can walk up and down Seven Mile Beach and stop in different beach bars and restaurants, plus Coco La Palm has a Happy Hour. The hotel grounds were well kept with lots of island plants and trees and the staff were so nice. We had the basic room which was all we needed as we were outside at all times. Lots of reviewers said to walk down about 10 min to the grocery store which we did for Red Stripes and cocktails for the beach and there is a fridge in the room. We also saved probably a couple hundred by taking the Knutsford Bus vs taxi or private driver, which was very inexpensive and easy…just walked out of the Montego Bay airport across a small parking area to the bus station and it dropped us off about 10 min drive from Coco La Palm and taxis were waiting at the bus station in Negril. Also, we went in July and had thunderstorms in the forecast every day and it hardly rained and when it did, it was brief and welcomed! And not too too hot in July, the beach breeze kept it pleasant. Overall can not recommend Coco La Palm enough! We will be dreaming about the delicious coconut fish appetizers for a long time to come! Can not wait to come back! Thank you!! Tips: 1) If you have space bring a floatie (the kind that rolls up with a mesh seat) with a cup holder for floating in the calm ocean…not sure if we just got lucky there were extras laying around but you want this experience 2) If you need an amazing vacation but for that also to be on a budget you can do that here! Rooms are very reasonable, taking the bus which was very safe and comfortable for the 90 minutes from Montego Bay Airport will save a lot as well as buying drinks at the grocery store. Plus you can hit a bunch of Happy Hours (there is an excellent one right next door at Firefly with yummy Coconut Chicken!) up and down the beach 3) Dont miss the Manager’s Social on Monday night! Great Appetizers and vibe!
