Niceness! Right now. Just thinking about this naturally pleasant , delightful people and good food ?? is lifting me.

Keisa S (Toronto, Canada) on Apr 05, 2026

My most amazing sunset pictures. My most amazing water escapades. My wonderful Jamaican breakfasts, live dinner entertainment where the audience is immediately captivated. Genuinely attentive and helpful staff! SHIRLEY! YOU ROCK Even after I almost 'took out' Shirley in my grand escape from the dining area to the mesmerizing waters. Shirley gave me a wide smile. Said no problem. And instinctively beckoned for some hekpmtinclean up the mash up that splattered on the floor. Shirley was unphased. And thankfully for me.unscathed. I guess they are used to guests losing their minds when they see open access to clear blue water coupled with shoreline service and ultimate relaxation. I simply had to make a dash. And unfortunately Shirley was in my way. Sigh. What impresses me most though is that unlike other resorts, that try to sneak in charges. Yes! You all know the ones I'm talking about. The ones where you already paid the meal plan package. And suddenly the gala dinner is an extra charge. The ones where the photographs should come complementary. Only to be told the first two prints are free. And you pay for the rest of course- the good ones that you actually want. And my all time favorite. Those that come with a carousel ?? and you are charged to the room. After you ride. Anyways.....at Coco la Palm they look out for your interest. I was not charged for the tea pot after the first morning. And the desserts from the complementary contemporary breakfast were still served! Even after we opted for the full Jamaican breakfast option. ?? the only feedback I would like to give, while on the topic, is that the dinner staff are far more attentive than the breakfast staff...not a criticism. As the service was not to be complained about. Just that the smiles are wider at dinner...lolol Friday night entertainment. The bomb!! That lady though...who for three days only smiled politely like some mannequin. Was up on stage! Twerking and jumping liken a 15 year old. Utterly happy. And untamed. Love what these drums do after dark. Thank you for an authentic ?? vibes night. The real deal. Oniel! Ha! If you are reading this, I bet you thought I forgot! Like I forgot my cc at the bar. And you kept it safe and sound for me. The darling you are. ?? Not only that. You pointed to the watch...good catch! Two minutes to happy hour. And even better for me. Drinks at half price! I love it! Front staff going above and beyond. Every single time. Thank you for the prints. Even on a busy day. Shoshana. And Camille. Made the extra effort to figure out how I could send my document. So you can support a print out. I appreciate you all so very much. Shoshanna. I am still laughing at the jokes. And of course Chris, on whom I could depend, to sort out my anxieties so pleasantly. So I could focus on my older family members. And still manage to enjoy myself tremendously. Ground staff. Engaging. And courteous. I will be back. Again. You are doing an amazing job here. And the fact that I can return year after year. And see the same familiar smiling faces. Says a lot about the good things happening here. See you soon!

15 trip to Jamaica but second time at a non all inclusive. I use reviews to book so I try to give lots of details. Pros -beach amazing. Located one of the best spots. Great walk distance to everything. - staff AWESOME. so friendly so helpful. Special shout out to Sam at the restaurant she was terrific and lifeguards so helpful setting up chairs etc. - food was really good.included continental was decent and could be exchanged for 5 dollars toward anything else. - grounds nicely kept - rooms huge AC worked well - pools were good enough and bigger than many local ones. -managed cocktail party nice touch showed they cared and gave a free beer and drink and snacks. - always fresh towels Cons - rooms a bit dated. Tv didn’t work well volume and remote messed up but prime worked on it and your not there to watch tv so was only for night. They do need way over blankets. Sheets scratch not warm and cuddly - I was in 211 and right by road very loud and walls really thin. No half dryer in room you must go check one out but truthfully that was all fine. Did not room trip at all. - food service is not fast but attitude of staff makes up for it - beach chairs need upgrade. Sandy haven next door great chairs and umbrellas but coco still better resort. Will return. It was a wonderful trip.

Amazing grounds and staff other than that not much else breakfast is a continental consisting of 2 pastries toast and cake not like it was when first went 9 yrs ago on arrive we were given a room at back of hotel room 211 right beside the car park and staff entry no sleep very noisy got room changed next day beside pool wasn't impressed by the remarks coming from guests regarding young girls passing by in bikinis to the point my daughter said it was epstien island on a budget which made me giggle hotel is over priced on food we ate out at far better places along the beach will not return here again

A Gem of a Place to Stay

Annette L (Lower Sackville, Canada) on Mar 22, 2026

Our first time staying at CLP and non AI, but not our first time in Negril. We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location on the beach, nice resort layout easy to navigate, rooms were very clean and spacious, food was good and staff were superb. I cannot say enough positive about the staff. From our housekeeper Lacy Ann, the front desk staff and manager, the ladies at breakfast, the gift shop clerk, the group at the beach bar/grill...especially Shawnette, and the multi-tasking security/beach cleaner/towel service Johnson, they made the place extra special. The only negative I would say is that the beds and blankets were not overly comfortable for us, but that's really the only complaint. It won't stop us from returning to this little gem though.

great location on seven mile

julia r on Mar 08, 2026

Excellent location- spacious property and beautiful grounds. In the middle of seven mile… convenient location to several local bars, restaurants, etc. Rooms could use some love. Housekeeping was great- rooms cleaned well everyday. Staff is thorough, polite and courteous. Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress is old. Sheets and blankets are not soft. I’ve stayed in various boutique hotels / rented air bnbs in Negril, and this is probably the least comfortable room I’ve experienced. Walls are thin, I could hear neighbors’ conversations loudly and clearly from inside our rooms. Also, room was advertised as having a private patio, and outdoor space was far from private. Lots of cigarette smokers- more areas on resort for cigarette butts and trash to be thrown away might be helpful. Food and drink- mediocre. Service is excellent, particularly breakfast staff and Shawnette at beach bar/grille, as well as lifeguards and security.
