Exceeded expectations
Melissa S on Dec 13, 2025
The hotel stay exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness and amenities gave the feeling of elegant comfort. But it was the staff that made my stay extra special. From Daniel, the bellman, to Sean at check-in, Danny at check-out, and all the housekeeping and maintenance people I met in between - everyone greeted me with a smile and friendly hospitality. It says a lot about how they feel about their jobs, and that flows into all of the workings of the hotel. Thank you all for making my stay so lovely!
Highly recommend

This was a short notice getaway with my wife. The location near Penn Station was convenient getting to and from Newark airport and around Manhattan. The room and amenities were great. Don’t miss breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly Anita C who kept the lobby tidy and went out of her way to help with a request. Highly recommend this hotel.
Irritated by unexpected Charge

Just something to be aware of, so it doesn't happen to you too. When we arrived for checkin, the counter employee handed me (2) small bottles and asked if I'd like some water (I hadn't asked for them). I said thank you and put them in my backpack. After we got home, I noticed I received (2) invoices -1 was for the room-1 for was the water ($10 + tax). I know it's only $10, but I'm upset, because it was never mentioned that I would be charged for them. Again, just be aware, do not take the water if offered at checkin. I had some other minor issues with the hotel (not following through with requests from the app). It is a good location for train station.

Two star hotel charges 4 star price

Hotel has one, and only one, benefit. Next door to Penn Station. Otherwise it is a 2* hotel. Elevators are insufficient and dirty. Sometimes had to wait 15 minutes. Numerous electrical outlets in room did not work. HVAC is old: thermostat doesnt work well and unit a little clanky. No soap in shower dispenser. Bottom of window curtain shredding. Room small.
