Fun, Safe, Worry-Free, Happy, Felt Well Cared For

Heather E on Jan 17, 2026

Fun, Safe, Worry-Free, Happy, Felt Well Cared For December 2025 A big thank-you to Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center for staffing such well-trained, personable and hospitable staff that made our experience both memorable and stress free. Which ultimately is what every parent wants when they travel with their kids whether their kids are little or in college. The hotel is well kept and spotless. Carlos, Thank you so much for welcoming our family every morning and every evening with your "Good Morning, Good Evening and Welcome Home." I enjoyed our daily banter of puns. Thank you for letting me tell you my truly corny jokes. I just feel kindness should be shared. It's always lovely to find like-minded people that share my thoughts on kindness. You really made us feel like VIPs. Thank you to Leslie, Dina and Pua for always being open to hearing my silly jokes. Even when I called really early CA time, I was not dismissed or cut off while explaining our needs and desires for the trip. Everyone at the front desk really took good care of us. After building a relationship with Leslie from the many phone calls, asking her questions and confirming our room, the hotel layout, fees and breakfast times I was met with a hug upon check in. It was so sweet. Juanita, my heartfelt thanks to you for talking with me and my family during each breakfast. Your kind words and insight for our current times were helpful and honest. Our family felt special while in your care. You represented Hyatt's hospitality very well. Jackie, in the dining room was thoughtful, remembered me and always smiled when I saw her. Our agent chose well when making the decision to purchase a package with Hyatt House. Out of all the hotels in the resort area, HH does not charge a resort fee. Others charge $90+ per night plus parking. HH was really thinking of families looking to save money when they made the decision not to charge a resort fee. Our room had a queen-sized bed, desk, fridge, coffee maker, a nice bathroom, pocket doors to a second bunk bed room with a pull-out couch. My son and his best friend stayed with us to celebrate his graduation. Our breakfast was really good. The fruit was fresh and well selected. They had a berry compote that was good on pancakes, oatmeal or in my case all by itself. HH offered travel sized PB and Nutella which combined with fruit made an inexpensive alternative to sweets in the park. Every question we asked was met with a smile. The evening staff were kind and personable and were willing to dish out their own puns. Those evenings were filled with laughter and good conversation. I'm still laughing. For everyone I shared a joke with, here is my most recent joke. A string walks into a bar. The bar tender says, "We don't serve strings in here." The string walks out, shakes his head around and comes back in. The bartender says, "Weren't you just in here?" The string said, "Frayed knot." Hope you all have a lovely new year. Heather

Great staff- some logistical issues

Elisha H on Jan 17, 2026

Rooms are incredibly sterile. Expect dorm-like or hospital like atmosphere in the room. Food is actually great. Keys had to be replaced multiple times due to magnetic deactivation even though we put them in the bowl at the Disney security. Keys are temperamental and sensitive- will deactivate if you get a phone call. Staff is aware and very accommodating, but you may spend a good amount of your time replacing keys, which is frustrating because you also need the key to get into the garage to park your car. Parking is an extra $40 per day plus a destination fee, so be sure to budget for all of these extra fees. Staff are truly wonderful. Any issues we had are due to logistics and whoever hired the room interior designer.
