Great Resort-Great Staff

My husband and I stayed at the Majestic Mirage the week of Christmas. This was our second stay at the Mirage and we loved it just as must as the first time. The beach is great, the large rooms are great, the restaurant choices are good (you can always find something to eat), the food is good, the drinks are awesome, but the staff is what makes the resort shine! Our butler Omar was great! He checked in on us everyday and made sure we knew what was going on around the resort each day. He made sure we had everything we asked for and took care of any issues we had. The staff at the buffet in the morning were great. We really enjoyed getting mimosas from Nancy’s cart every morning. She was awesome! The staff at the Seaside restaurant at lunch was great too, especially Neomi, she is the best! Victor greeted us each morning at the beach and always made sure we had what we needed! Donato was at the beach in the afternoon and always checked to make sure we were doing good. Milqueyna took care of us at the theater and plaza each evening. She was so friendly and remembered us each evening when we saw her and knew what drinks to bring us. The staff at the Italian restaurant, French restaurant and the steakhouse were great too! All the staff worked really hard to make Christmas special for the guests and it was. The dinner menu, the buffet (especially the overwhelming amount of desserts) and the Christmas show was all great! The Majestic Mirage is a great resort and we will be back!

Enjoyed staying at Majestic Mirage Beautiful ambience. Very good customer service and clean. Omar our butler was great. Kind, polite, professional, efficient and met all our needs. Couldn't ask for a better butler.
An exceptional, memorable stay

Our stay at The Mirage was absolutely fantastic. While all aspects of our stay were wonderful, the staff, who make each guest feel special, were what elevates The Mirage above other resorts. The leadership team of Elena, Leo, Yeimi and Raoul exhibit the a strong combination of professionalism and caring. There were many standouts among the staff----Eduardo our butler, Yujalis the tennis pro, Neomi, Altagracia and Dorcas restaurant hostesses, Willem the wine sommelier, the entire wait staffs of the French and Italian restaurants, Ramon the pool server, the concierges in building 5 and Edgar from Go Majestic. This list is far from complete. The suites at The Mirage are lovely. My husband and I stay at the Mirage for at least two weeks each visit. I really appreciate the separate room and bathroom for the alternate days when my husband wakes up before sunrise for golf. We typically take three vacations a year and until fairly recently stayed at different resorts each time. Since we happened upon the Mirage, we will go nowhere else. We have found the perfect spot for us.
Poor quality of wines, service not good enough

All-inclusive resort with terrible quality of wines included. For example: their bubbly wine has 6.5% alcohol and is VERY SWEET. They don't have Cava/Prosecco included and if you want Champagne it's $ 175 (or more) per bottle. Also their white/red wines are of poor quality (11%) and they don't serve rosé wine. The sommelier William Gomez is THE BEST, he advises perfect. But it resulted that we had to pay $ 550 extra for wines during our stay. We paid $ 4,700 for 7 nights (+ $ 550 for the wines) and I expected a much better service and quality. Upon arrival we were downgraded without telling us. We booked 18+ and received a room in the family building second row. After 2 days we received a room on a much better position. The hotel claims to have butler service, but you never see your butler. He messages sometimes, but doesn't do anything extra. For example: there is a coffee machine but there were no coffee cups. We requested for it, but never received it. Also the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were not restocked. When calling they brought it, but that should not have happened. The swim-up-room is large (double regular hotel-room) but you see that it's not well maintained. For example: wood panels (toilet at entry and on the bench behind the bed) were loose. Also there was mold between tiles. There are 3 adjacent hotels: Colonial - Elegance - Mirage. My advice: make adult only hotel of 1 of the 3 hotels. Now Mirage has 2 buildings where children are allowed and 6 for adult only. That is strange. We had a fantastic week, but price/quality did not fit. Good things: the food is good, staff is friendly, pool is clean, nice theater shows/performances, perfect coffee place and direct oceanfront.

Wonderful Service by Rosemary. Most of the food was amazing. The burgers were not a fan favorite. We loved the shrimp and the staff was epic
