A wonderful paradise!

Roxana A on Jan 06, 2026

This is a beautiful resort which has exceeded our expectations. Everything from the hotel grounds with plenty of wild life and natural tropical gardens, to the accommodations, the amazing beach with white sand and turquoise water, variety of food, impeccable service, and environmentally friendly practices, were truly worthy of 5 stars. It is, now, by far our favourite resort and we cannot wait to return.

Five star.... "problem"...

Zabbba (Windsor, Canada) on Dec 21, 2025

Yes, it is a problem, since I want to come back here again and again. We visited several places along this stretch of beach: Viva Maya, Riu Yucatan, Sandos Playacar... but this resort hits my "green and wildlife" note. Tucan has a piece of a jungle in the middle of the resort. Cute walkways with bridges, overlooks, waterfalls; unobtrusive wildlife to observe /coatis, agoutis, peacocks, flamingos, one squirrel and one cat that we saw/. The walkways thru the jungle are a bit uneven, made to look like natural stone, so no high heels, lol. Great dining experience with man made but natural looking ravine with waterfalls. Lots of options on the menu /although I think the buffet at Riu Yucatan was a bit better/. We also dined at Japanese /by reservation/ which was a great and tasty experience. The other by reservation is the Italian. Couple of the other a la cartes are first come first serve. Passion fruit mojitos and Long Islands were our favorite cocktails. Service personnel is friendly and having innocent fun with guests e.g. delivering a lot of "vitamins" /= tequila shots/ to our table... Overall - great ambiance, facilities, staff, greenery, great beach, fantastic pool, and swim up bar pool /almost as big as other resorts main pools/ - for us it was truly a place to relax and recharge... Looking forward to other visits to this fantastic place...

Amazing

Amazing hotel! Concierge Jan has been incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond since day one—always greeting us with a smile, helping with every question, and making us feel completely taken care of. Cinthia and Alan from the entertainment team have also been fantastic. Overall, an unforgettable experience!

Perfect Vacation!!

Marie D on Dec 11, 2025

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful vacation! We chose this hotel because of the beautiful grounds, beach and charming Mexican buildings and we were not disappointed!! Before booking I read some reviews about the rooms being dated, and I can see why, but it was exactly what I wanted, charming and very clean. The whole resort is meticulously maintained. The pool was very clean. Beach was picture perfect. The shows were phenomenal! All the staff were super friendly and helpful! A few things I think worth mentioning; -The resort is quite big, so bring comfortable footwear. -There is lots of wildlife everywhere, which we loved, but may not be everyone’s cup of tea. -There are photographers on site, you can schedule a session for free and you just pay per picture that you want. It’s fairly pricey but the pictures were phenomenal! - When we booked our confirmation said we got $500 US resort credit, but that was actually just a bunch of $25 off coupons with a minimum purchase of $100US -the pool closes at 7pm, maybe that’s standard for resorts, but we’d have liked to swim a little later - the app was very helpful to see the dining and activity schedules We loved the resort and would certainly go back!!

Overall great experience, minor changes could be made to make.this 5 star.

Just came back home from a week long stay, the resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. Like most of the prior reviews the rooms are outdated, the beds are on the smaller side, we booked a king bed but they were full, that sucked. The jungle area is amazing with animals all around, however as mentioned the monkeys are kept in cages on the roof which I find odd. Food was alright, the buffet could change out things a little more and as another guest mentioned the food could be a little warmer. Entertainment staff was excellent. Some guests mentioned staff being rude, we never saw that everyone said hello and was extremely friendly. Dont miss the Japanese restaurant its amazing. None of the stuff I mentioned above would be a deal breaker for not making a return trip. We definitely will be back. Can't wait to see what the upgrade brings in 2026.
