Great time @ Royalton Hiccacos

We took a chance on Cuba after having taken a few years break due to supplies issues (food, drinks, etc) and we were beyond impressed and will be definitely returning! Check in was easy. Our butler Dayana was the best. We exchanged #’es on What’s App and if she didn’t find us during the day in person she would Check in on what’s app to make sure all of our needs were met…even arranging for a spa treatment on her day off!! The food was excellent, our first time trying Sea Bass…delicious!! The pizza station in the buffet definitely could use improvement as they rarely had cheese on them just very little toppings..an easy fix. We enjoyed all of the ala carte restaurants with the exception of the Italian, the food was good but on the 2 occasions we went there we had a 1hr 15min wait & a 45 min wait between the 2nd and 3 courses. Drinks were hit & miss…but during the day if sitting around the pool the waitresses made excellent drinks!!! The pools were nice, beach perfect. Rooms clean. Entertainment was VERY good! At both the lobby bar & theatre. The musicians were all too notch! Don’t forget a power converter! We were fortunate to get one from another guest to use during our stay. All in all we had a great trip and look forward to returning in the future!

A friend and I went to Royalton Hicacos Resort in Cuba Nov 20th to the 27th. It was an amazing resort. Let me back this up a bit. Arrived at the airport and we had already booked our own transportation. After waiting 1/2 a hour I asked this young man if he could help me contact the company. His name was Alfonso a security guard. He did and apparently the car was in a minor fender bender. That was resolved. We still arrived before the bus. We stayed in the Diamond Club Superior rooms. We found them well worth the money. Our cleaning lady Viannia was very thorough and always left us a towel animal. We were in room 702. We are early risers so down to the beach for the sunrises. Breathtaking. There was more than enough chairs so no need to run down to save one. I admit it could have been the time of the year. I must mention some special people that made our stay even better, their was a young waitress that did both the Seafood and Italian restaurant named Coralin, the lobby bar Diamelvis and the buffet Sonivid and of course our butler Randy. The people here are all so friendly and helpful. People always comment on the food. That’s not a high priority for me. You will never starve. If anything bring yourself a few spices, they don’t have those luxuries. Overall I would rate this a 5 star hotel. I will be returning February 21st.
